The Troll

I read somewhere, but can’t vouch for it, that the party theme was “fraught with danger”. I also read that the 2nd-in-line went as a lion. Spose the lion could be interpreted as danger, rather than as in brit. If that was indeed the theme, I reckon 3rd-in-line was a cracker.

The theme was ‘Colonials and Natives’, which is a pretty dodgy theme for a bunch of upper class brits to choose in the first place (IMNSHO), and Harrys costume still has nothing whatsoever to do with it.

Yup, the theme was pretty dodgy to begin with. What really worries me is that Harry (three death certificates away from being my head of state) appears to have no sense of history (his own family’s or England’s), tact, good taste or personal responsibility.

Having said that, the British media hardly distinguishes themselves. Most of the broadsheets — except for the Independent, established in 1988 — hardly had a distinguised record of opposing the Nazi regime, or opposing Chamberlain’s disastrous appeasement policies.
As for being lectured by The Sun on matters of taste — to quote Princess Anne, naff off. I’d rather let my 8 year old grand-niece go clothes shopping with Britney and Janet J.

Actually, I’m rather with a letter writer to today’s dompost. Enough time has passed that this should be considered laughable. Who hasn’t attended a fancy dress party in something in questionable taste. Luckily… the tabloid press weren’t hanging around outside any I attended in my youth.

i wouldn’t have cared (indeed I’d have smiled I expect) if he’d gone dressed as Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, George Bush (either) or even Michael Moore!
