Aussie Students

I was surprised to read that Australians can study here paying the same fees as NZ students, but that this is not reciprocal.

I struggle to find the public policy reasons why we would pay for 70% of the costs of Australian students. Other overseas students pay for their full cost.

If the policy meant NZ students could choose to study openly at Australian universities, I would be in favour, but most courses are restricted.
