Dom Post on Education

Almost every editorial in the last few weeks has been criticising the Government’s policies or endorsing National’s. No this is not due to a conspiracy – it is in fact very rare to have such a chorus.

The latest is the enthusiasm from the Dom Post for most of National’s proposals to improve the education system. Their final line:

“In outlining an education policy so clearly different to the status quo, National is inviting New Zealanders to decide whether they are happy with how things are. They should not be.”

Indeed I wonder how anyone at all can defend the status quo, it is so discredited.
