Wellington Airport

Jordan has blogged (no I can not link to it, as he is banned in China) his frustration at the constantly (closed 14 times in four months) fog-closed Wellington Airport. It is more than a minor nuisance, as one of the participants from NZ to this meeting, Jacinda, has been unable to attend at all as the closures meant she would not be able to get here until after it was half over.

No easy answer as the airport can not be extended enough to allow the equipment to land in the fog. Perhaps we could build one next to the inner-city bypass, while we have the demolition gear already there 🙂
