The big smear

Have just listened to the weekly politics chat with Linda Clark. On it they discussed the rumour that Labour is planning a big smear attack this weekend, as a make or break effort. The speculation was that something will be fed to the Sunday Star-Times (yes they who compared Don Brash to Pauline Hanson).

As an aside what was hilarious, was the comment by Linda Clark that she thought Helen Clark had already tried that last weekend in the SST with the desperate front page article alleging certain things were said at a debate two weeks earlier. When National Radio is laughing at the desperation of the attempt, you know you have problems.

Anyway I found the discussion of the rumour interesting because I had earlier in the week heard similar from sources, so it is obviously getting around town.
