The biggest tracking change blunder yet

Over the years I’ve seen a few stories of organisations that have e-mailed out word documents and have not get rid of the hidden tracking changes which can be viewed by a simple toggle. In fact I think InternetNZ once sent out a PR with tracking on and people could see the changes I had made to a PR. But that was no big thing.

This is huge though. The UN report into the murder of the former Lebanese PM was already damning. It provided numerous pieces of evidence that the Syrian Government authorised his murder at the highest levels. However it did not name names of who these high ranking officials were.

But journalists found that by displaying tracking, they could see the names of four men which had been deleted. Two of them were the brother and the brother-in-law of the Syrian President!!

So there are two scandals here. One is that Syria has been found to have been behind the murder. The second is that the UN censored the report naming names.
