Holiday continued

Yesterday went into Port Douglas township for the famous Sunday markets. Made a couple of purchases and then had lunch in town. The cafe had “pipis” on spaghetti which I couldn’t resist as I have fond childhood memories of catching pipis at Waikanae beach and then cooking them on a bbq at our farmlet at Reikorangi. I hadn’t had then since I was a kid.

In the afternoon just mucked about in the hotel swimming pool, and dined inhouse. One can see in the photo below what the hotel environs are like with native trees everywhere.

A fairly non typical holiday for me. Of my six books with me, I have not even got 10% through a single book. Likewise haven’t even switched the TV on yet – despite all those news bulletins! Just so many more relaxing things to do and see.
