To some degree, it makes a lot of sense for a police woman to moonlight as a prostitute. I mean she already has the handcuffs 🙂
More seriously, I do have to agree that it is an unacceptable secondary occupation for a police officer. There is a difference between legal and acceptable. I was a strong supporter of prostitution law reform, but that doesn’t mean I want careers counsellors advocating it as a profession in schools etc.
A couple of my friends used to be prostitutes (one male, one female) and from stories they have told, it’s not a lifestyle you recommend. It’s the massive earning power which makes it hard to resist. But they do pay a price.
