Labour files pledge card defence

Helen Clark has filed her defence in the Darnton v Clark lawsuit on the legality of the funding of the pledge cards.

Hopefully a hearing can now be scheduled – especially before Labour votes to change the law to defeat the lawsuit.

What will be interesting is what defence will be put up by Crown Law of behalf of The Parliamentary Service as Second Respondents. Considering the head of Crown Law has already advised he believes they are illegal, they are in a difficult position.
