Scouting Fraud

I was very sad to see Scouting NZ was defrauded by its finance manager for $200,000. That is a hell of a lot of money to them – one third of their income.

I actually knew the employee involved, but not well, and would have thought him last person on Earth to be stealing money. I used to be very involvved with Scouting at group, area and national levels so knew most of the staff.

Two years is a fairly light sentence for what he has done.
