Mom and Dad now homophobic terms!

Good God.

The National Health Service in Scotland has told doctors and nurses to avoid using the terms ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ as the terms could be offensive to homosexual couples with children!!!

As part of their “zero-tolerance policy to discriminatory language” they recommend when talking to children to consider using ‘parents‘, ‘carers’ or ‘guardians’ rather than ‘mother’ or ‘father‘.

They also rule as unacceptable the terms ‘husband’, ‘wife’ and ‘marriage’ as they exclude lesbian, gay and bisexual people. Instead, health care workers should use the terms ‘partners’ and ‘next of kin’.

How long until someone tries this on here?
