More Labour lies

NZPA reports that Labour is defending its reliance on the Truth story about John Key because according to Dr Cullen:

“the paper was partly owned by Matthew Hooton, well known for working with and for the National Party”

Now this got me excited that I could hit Matthew up for a free subscription.  But sadly Dr Cullen just made it up. Matthew is not a part owner.  Dr Cullen no doubt won’t apologise as he said it under parliamentary privilege.

But in a fit of irony, as the exact time Dr Cullen was smearing Matthew in the House, Matthew was hosting with Matt McCarten a campaign launch for former Alliance MP Willie Jackson and former Labour MP John Tamihere.  Classic.
