Blogging in Cairns

Queensland has just had its local body elections, and they have seen a change of Mayor and Council in Cairns.

My mate, Michael Moore, has been an outspoken critic of the current long serving Mayor, and his blog played a not insignificant role in the election.  He’s exposed some scandals, posted You Tube videos of people going to court, scrutinised various Mayoral trips and highlighted the conflicts of interests not declared by various people. It’s been a great example of the difference one person can make with a blog.
