RIP Brian Donnelly

I got texted a short while ago to tell me that Brian Donnelly died shortly after midday.

I knew Brian was sick, but did not realise how sick. Like almost everyone who knew him, I deeply mourn his loss.

He was an excellent Minister, a conscientious MP and a damn nice guy.  He was a true believer in the value of public service and spent his life trying to enrich the lives of other people.
