Vitriol is proportional to the truth.
The closer the statement is to the truth the more vicious or vacuous the reply this could be written so
R=V2/T
The equation might need some moderating

The above is not a Catholic statement, it is a Seventh Day Adventist waiting for the second coming. So, Mike you’re not a Catholic but a Catholicthobia indeed! And notice Catholics rarely swear at anyone…

Your statements are both confused and confusing. First you accuse me of smearing you by pointing out that you simply quote line after line of the right wing US show hosts, then you speak approvingly of their popularity! You can’t have it both way, so surely I have actually paid you a compliment! A

And Bill O’Reilly has been on Fox for a lot longer than Kiwiblog has been around, so I suggest you have been parroting for a long time.

I would be interested in what views I have expressed here that could be classified as “left wing.” Generally, I pretty well sit quite comfortably with National Party policy, with serious reservations mainly on some foreign policy issues, and almost as well with Labour, with the same reservation.

After all, it’s Tweedledum and Tweedledee, those two, who just take turns at running the country.

And considering I have spent about half my working life employing people or self-employed, sole trader, the “socialist” label is just a wee bit off beam, don’t you think?

As regards the issue in Malmo, while one can understand the frustration of Muslims over the genocidal actions in Gaza, that is no reason to attack local Jews. In my humble opinion, they would much better occupied in engaging with the local Jewish population and present a rational case for withdrawing support for that particular action of Israel. That would be a good start.

But I think it’s a bit of a stretch to refer to it as ethnic cleansing. Looks to me more like a local law and order failure. But it’s easy to understand the nervousness of the Jews given Europe’s horrendous past crimes against Jews (and occasionally Muslims as well).

And I hope you two rather immature men notice I have had no need to resort to accusations of cowardice or epithets like “cunt.”

That would be fine if the same thing as is happening in Malmo wasn’t happening to Jewish communities elsewhere in the world from the Muslim communities near them.
In Malmo the numbers are higher and it is being reported more so right now.
Melanie Phillips wrote a post a few weeks ago (melaniephillips.com) covering it so it isn’t just a localised issue for Jews in Malmo as it’s also in the UK.

Well. MikeNZ, are you really that surprised?

Muslims, historically, are the least likely people to persecute Jews – quite the contrary – and clashes have been few and far between and isolated, until the advent of Zionism. That’s just fact. It’s not controversial. Although I am sure you will do your best to make it so!
