I have just been for a look at Red Alert – can’t comment there because I am banned, but that advocate for open debate and free speech Claire Curran says this on her latest post about the success of a company chaired by Ruth Richardson and after a number of commenters pointed this out:

The NZX-listed Port of Tauranga reported a record profit of $57.9 million in 2011 – about twice that of Ports of Auckland. Its trade volume in the year to June 2011 was up 12.4 per cent to 15.4 million tonnes and its export volume was more than three times its competitor’s in the City of Sails.
Its share price has soared 36 per cent in the past 12 months and closed at $10.12 yesterday.

So, going on the numbers, who has the better model and is winning the ‘competition’?

Manolo also has a serious thing about Maori people..He himself is half Italian. Personally I love Italians but Italians too cop a lot of flak , stereotyping etc in some places. Yeah, you’re propbably right. I’m currently 108 kg same as Richard McGaw. My weight fluctuates between 110kg & 105 kg. When I’m fit, I’m 105 kg (ie, when i’m going to the gym regularly). So, I’ve never been fat at any stage in all my life, despite eating fatty food as lamb flaps, canned corned beef, brisket meat and so forth. Reason? I always exercise and keep myself in shape. I have to, otherwise, I won’t score Samoan chicks when I go clubbing.

PS : I have scored more Samoan ta’ahines in the last 2 years then I have scored Tongan ta’ahines.

Update on the Euro:

But the decline of the euro is just part of the story. The truth is that Europe is on the verge of a financial collapse that could end up dwarfing the financial crisis of 2008.
Sadly, most Americans have no idea what has been going on in Europe the past few days….
-The stock of the biggest bank in Italy, UniCredit, is absolutely collapsing. Shares of UniCredit fell 14 percent on Wednesday and 17 percent on Thursday.
-Shares of another major Italian bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, fell 7.3 percent on Thursday.
-Shares of three major French banks all fell by at least 5 percent on Thursday.
-Even shares of German banks are falling like a rock. Shares of Commerzbank fell 4.5 percent on Thursday and shares of Deutsche Bank fell 5.6 percent on Thursday.
-The yield on 5 years Italian bonds is back over 6 percent and the yield on 10 year Italian bonds is back over 7 percent. Analysts all over Europe insist that that the Italian debt situation is not sustainable if rates stay this high.
-Italy’s youth unemployment rate has hit the highest level ever.
This is mind blowing news.
But what is the top headline on USA Today right now?
“Employers Impose Bans On Smokers”
These are some of the other top headlines on USA Today right now….
“Automakers Rush To Offer Apps In Your Car”
“Bargain Season At Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Wendy’s”

Is that what passes as news in this country?
A financial meltdown of historic proportions is happening in Europe and you cannot even find anything about it on the front page of USA Today. Amazing.

Well ll it’s only the logical extension of what lefties all advocate in the name of human wights, isn’t it?

After all, isn’t it the case that if females can be required to work in a brothel since it’s the same as any other workplace since if its not treated as such by the law then that’s discwimination, doesn’t it then logically follow in the name of non-discwimination that men should also be faced with the same choice, if they want to get a benefit?

Just because you think society won’t like it ll, is no reason to compromise on your anti-discwiminatory pwinciples which lefties advocate all the time.

So no ll, it’s not the law, the law merely reflects to social mores of the day, and today’s social mores courtesy of lefties, is that prostitution – gay or straight – is no different from office or factory work, and that’s what lefties say they want, isn’t it?

I think I do agree with the gist of his complaint, especially when it comes to tax payer funder jobs.
Mayors, parlimentarians, council CEO’s and also University staff as they are partly funded by the taxpayer…..
I also think shareholders are taken for a ride, looking at the salary some CEO’s (Telecom springs to mind).

Andy I sensed from the reports about 12 months ago a shift in the lockstep one eyed promotion and it does seem to have taken a different turn.

Good job. They’ll plans B, C and D of course so it doesn’t matter but let’s hope the AGW ETS con is consigned to the dustbin and attempts that didn’t succeed.

Too bad for all the useful idiots throughout the years on this one though. Causing as usual such needless friction in the quest for the actual truth, whatever it may be. It wouldn’t be quite so bad if almost always they weren’t the same old people, time and again. That’s really annoying.

You know the NDAA and Patriot Acts have eviscerated the US Bill of Rights right? That’s right, it doesn’t exist anymore.

What’s more important? That fact, or an article on it out of the thousands available, which has a link from someone you don’t trust?

Personally to me one significant aspect is that since the US goes on and on and on and on about their precious “constitution” then isn’t it just fucking amazing how few Americans have actually been told about this by the MSM?

For once I mast applaud the Herald on its editorial. They are also accepting comments. I hope some of the non liberals on this blog take the opportunity. I hope even some of the thinking liberals may accept these mainly homosexual activists have gone too far.

I have nothing against naturalist but what is happening at Ladies Bay if accurate is criminal behaviour. Indecent exposure is a summary offence that carries a 3 month jail penalty. Committing an indecent act in public carries a 2 year penalty. This type of behaviour is not confined to Ladies Bay or even beaches. Many of these deviants think it is okay to have sex in a public toilet.

The only thing I can say is if the NDAA is opposed by the UN, ACLU,Human Rights Watch, The Guardian and the New York Times it sounds like some legislation we need here.

You get your thrills from trawling through national news sites, finding any reported crimes where a brown skinned person is the suspect and then telling us about it. You provide the link (very useful I suppose for those of us interesting in reading about crime) but just to make sure your point is made you specifically mention out the race of the suspect/convicted criminal as well.

Now as far as racist behaviour goes it’s pretty low-level but let’s not pretend you are on some kind of moral crusade, Manolo.

There’s a big difference between people who are nudists/naturalists (whatever it is called) and people who get their thrills from exhabitionism. No doubt the true nudists are pretty annoyed that their lifestyle is being given a bad name by a few who equate nudism with sexual behaviour.
The law is pretty straightforward about indecent exposure – just apply the law if it is necessary.

Sad news for the families and friends of the ballooning tragedy victims. Not to mention the 18 who died on the roads this last couple of weeks.

It’s all about the spectacle in the end. Sure the road toll/head count is a staple of the holiday news bulletins, but dying on the road is such a boring way to snuff it.

Now a train wreck, well that’s pretty cool, a mining disaster… meh, like conjoined twins, there’s a couple a year.

But a mini-Hindenburg. Wow. That’s gonna be headline news around the world. I bet you.

This guy was walking along a nude beach one day. About 50 metres down the beach he saw a sign. It said BEWARE OF GAYS! but he didn’t think anything of it.

Another 50 metres down the beach he saw another sign. It said BEWARE OF GAYS! he started to think he’d better be cautious but it didn’t worry him much.

Toward the end of the beach he saw a sign that had been kicked down on the ground and he bent down to look at it.

The sign said YOU ALREADY HAD TWO WARNINGS!!!

@reid: Again, the legalisation of prostitution has little to do with it, other than helping to highlight a silly law. Allowing workers and employers in that field to have similar rights as others does not then imply that prostitution is equivalent to an office job, just as forestry is not equivalent to an office job.

The law causing the problems cited in the article is the one forcing folk into jobs they do not wish to take for valid reasons. It would be equivalent to a women or man refusing to be an underwear model and being refused their benefit, which clearly is not a reasonable result. In the article you gave there was the example of being a nude model or being in a call center for telephone sex for example.

Since he’s fifteen I’d suggest that punishment won’t be a major issue here. Probably a few months in a youth facility & an expression of remorse will cover it yet his victim has been robbed of fifty odd years of life & experiences.

My 7.54 was aimed at the ridiculous restrictions on self defense our legislation provides. If the mother had done the same thing in NZ the best she could hope for would be bankruptcy after she paid for lawyers to defend a charge of murder/manslaughter.

The law in this country covering self defense is ridiculous.

As you know 911 skepticism and who did it are quite different things, but since I’ve been here which is 2003, you’ve been conflating them, all the time, every time. Not even Andy.

Simple fact is, I don’t care and never have about who did it, why they did and how they did it. All I care about is the simple plain fact the investigation was rushed, superficial, subject to atypical practices respecting evidence of a crime scene, missed important things. Given incidentally 911 augered in the war on terror it also has had and continues to have significant ramifications in the geopolitical organism and since some of those “ramifications” bear signs of investigating as well so yes, I care about all of those things.

But as to who did it, I don’t care, I never have. It doesn’t matter. They’re never the planners anyway so who cares about them. They’re small fry.
