In a time series…
The chance of the first data point being a record is 100% 1/1 the second 50% 1/2.1/3.1/4.1/5.1/6……
this has a seasonal and other weather component etc but it is how the graph underlying trend in # records should proceed if there is no trend: The chance of the next data point being a record high declines towards 1/Infinity.

This graph shows clearly that around 1970 the number of records has tended to trend upwards and did not decline as a data series over time showing no trend should .

This is in direct contrast to Steve Goddard the “real scientists” stated version of statistical reality were his phony examination of this graph proves how easy he manipulates unthinking idiots .

A half smart fifteen year old could work this out for them self.
