It was amusing because Mary desperately tried to paint it in a negative light in every which way but time after time the science shot her down, until finally in the last seconds she asks him if he’s an AGW denier (what the heck is that anyway?) and he laughs and says no, he’s a scientist who deals in facts and fact is, the temperature hasn’t risen in 17 years.

Is Mary a journalist or a propaganda mouthpiece? What the heck is wrong with someone whose view is so often so transparently wrong but yet never seems to learn anything from her clear, present and frequent mistakes? Will she ever improve or will she always wallow around in the mud of stupidity and ignorance?

Ok, for arguments sake lets say that Obama is a Kenyan Subject what does that make Ted Cruz.

When he was born in CANADA his father was not a yank but his mother was, same as Obama.

The Government is opening an NZ embassy on the tiny island of Barbadoes as part of NZ’s campaign to get a seat on the UN Security Council.

Fuck the Security Council, and fuck the numbskull career diplomats who are getting NZ politicians to spend millions for what in effect is their own ego. The diplomats are well enough looked after now, as their wives’ campaign to keep their perks showed. However, it can’t be fun being a diplomat from a tiny country amid all the bigger country diplomats.

What possible trade benefit to NZ is a seat on the Security Council? None.

It’s only benefit is to make the diplomats – and politicians – feel important.

Last time one of the trade-offs was to take thousands of Somali migrants. They have since brought in thousands more of their relatives, and in total have contributed fuck all to NZ – not even an Olympic running medal. Then there will be costly (in risk as well as dollars) commitments to UN peacekeeping in remote countries of no importance to NZ.

Have you ever tried condensed milk with chopped peanuts, shaved coconut, shaved white chocolate, golden syrup, ground ginger, fresh lemon juice, icing sugar and custard powder thrown in?

That’s a fantasty sugar fantasy that shouldn’t be legal.

Uncooked biscuit mix and ginger crunch mix is up there too. I would love to not care about weight and go for it.

I find the opposite. Lots of carbs… sugar is 100% bad news… can cause a serious power surge leading to explosive off the handle mood swings and the general desire to unleash unholy violence. I’m sure I’m much more sedate on my current diet.

Overcarbing has led to unplanned marathons.

Suggested alternative (for arse-kicking mode without the energy value): Way OTT fuck-off strength tastebud killing coffee. With a dash of trim milk of course.

This is my theory about griff. I think I’ve met a lot of blokes like griff. They’re great. As long as they’re laughing. Yes, I did type that wheat was throwing off my spelling. In another comment (to Kea), I missed out the word “to”. I could have sworn it was there. The wheat seems to cause mild dyslexia, among other things. I’ve had full on dyslexia before, but only when in full throes of a migraine. Then I just type gibberish which seems to have meaning when I’m typing it.

Anyway, I find all this really interesting since I’ve found out that wheat allergy, migraines, autism and schizophrenia are connected. I just get migraines (and so do both my boys), but I have an autistic brother (severe on the spectrum) and a schizophrenic brother.

If you live in Auckland and have been for a walk around your suburb recently
you will notice that the grass on the berm in front of many properties is now calf height and growing.

You will also have noticed that the grass on the berm in front of every single block of units
is the same height. (who is going to take it upon themselves in a block of say, 8 or 16 units to mow
the grass out on the berm? Especially if they are all rental units.)

Len Brown has recently employed a couple of extra spin doctors to promote his cause on the ratepayers
tit for $200,000 pa each.

The NZ Herald carries a story from an idiot, Len Brown suckarse called John Roughan who says this is a
good thing. (Roughan admits that he lives down a right of way)

Len Brown has spun this as a cost cutting method of reducing rates increases and helping make Auckland
the worlds most liveable city.

Helen Clark used to look straight down the barrell of the camera and tell the sheeple that black was white.

Lucy, she wants to go to Church in the morning. I will take her to my friends one and hopefully it will be a long long service. That way i will not have to endure anymore attacks. I hate the conflict and hate seeing someone so conflicted. I don’t care if she falls to the ground talking in tongues, just as long as it gives her some comfort.

I had a look at a Catholic Church and they had a “Pet Service”. Is that literally for pets ?

I had a look at a Catholic Church and they had a “Pet Service”. Is that literally for pets ?

Yesterday was the feast day of St.Francis of Assisi.. Often, many churches, including some Catholic churches invite children to bring their pets along.
Dunno about a Mass though – probably just a blessing.

I’ve heard of a bring your pet to Mass event. Happened in Wellington, at the Lower Hutt parish a few years back. It was reported in the local Catholic paper, Wel-com. They even had pictures.

Haven’t seen one here in NZ. But when I lived in Oz thru the 80’s, most years the kids brought their pets to school and the PP would bless them. Haven’t seen pets in Mass though. Except a blind guy I know, Ken Joblin, now down in Christchurch always brought his dog with him.

Wellington Diocese – the one that’s run by feminists – not the bishop 😉

A correspondence to The Herald pointed out that the council own the berms and are responsible for them. In fact if you leave green waste on the berm ready to be picked up they will give you notice to get it off. The streets look like crap, so it is an impasse between those that are prepared to mow and others who don’t give a stuff. Given that many are outside businesses and NZH owned lots, added to the fact that the council can’t force the public to mow their own (the council’s) lawns Brown’s plans look plain dumb. A simple answer could be a rates rebate for those that mow their lawns and a charge (included in their rates, as it has been in the past) for those that don’t. I think Lenny the ‘Mayor is in the house’ Brown is going to look increasingly stupid over this issue.

We mow our own berms here in Kapiti. I’ve even done it a number of times, though mostly I get my 16 year old to do it.

I think Wellintonians mow their own as well.
