The Aussies are going to be one very tough team to beat at the RWC. Last night was my pick for them to win but I did not think they would out muscle and out skill us.

It was always on the cards that when the injured came back they would have a formidable lineup. Add in Cheika and you have an aggressively skilled pack that is getting its act together. That sounds familiar.

Its game on RWC. Does John Key have a backup feel good plan (you know like actually reforming the economy) to get him through to 2017. We dont like losing RWCs do we?

Joining the conversation late, three things were blindingly obvious from last night’s game:
1) Carter is well past his sell-by date (probably third reserve for first five eighth)
2) Williams is never going to perform consistently well for the ABs (ditto second five eighth)
3) McCaw is not the player he was (but it’s not clear that we have anyone better)

I suppose the fourth point is why all this was not obvious to Hansen a year ago? He should know this better than anyone.

Sopoaga’s accomplished debut vs SA certainly posed some questions. Can the ABs take Sopoaga/Carter/Barrett/Slade to the RWC? I would drop Carter now, but I don’t think that is gong to happen.
Williams I see as a good reserve as he can play 2nd 5, centre or wing. He’s not going to beat Nonu out of the starting XV, and probably not Fekitoa either if it came to that.
McCaw, Kaino and Read still make an outstanding set of loose forwards.

THC (the active ingredient in marijuana) is oil soluble. Human skin is a permeable membrane. Therefore it’s likely that the oil based unguent rubbed into into the skin would be an ideal carrier.

Worth noting is that they burnt the mixture as well. The temple priests would have been fried 99% of the time.

I’m still deciding whether to bother watching Hellstorm. One thing that bothers me is the subtitle: ‘The Real Genocide of Nazi Germany’. Is this implying that there was a ‘false’ genocide?

I suppose somebody else must have mentioned this already but I am shocked at how culturally ignorant the Turks are. It appears they had to have the significance of the Haka explained to them. How can this be?, we are always being told that the Murri culture has relevance and that the entire world loves the rain dance and “get’s” its deep cultural meaning.

By the way, I found all this out in about half an hour after watching the movie. If Reid really did do the research he claims, he would have found it all out as well.

This is like reviewing a movie by reading about what other people say but not actually watching it.

How nuts is that?

Multiply that by the hate-filled allegations Captain Bananas so casually hurls, and one can clearly conclude this guy has no ethics and no intelligence. But plenty of belligerence and bluster.

2015 feels a lot like 2003 when the NZ team we led by a woeful Canterbury captain, the arrogance level is there (more worried about promoting a new style of boot than playing the game) and blind to the fact that the NZ players are well past their use by date.

Yep, it’s going to be a lot of fun this year.

I actually said to a few Aussie mates yesterday that if we had to lose a match this year it would be this one. Obviously I’d prefer not to lose. But such is life.

There is no guarantee we will win the world cup. And calling Richie woeful backs up what I said about your limited knowledge.

The husband said to the doctor, “B’Jayzus, I may not be the smartest guy in the world, but I don’t see how putting a firework in a beer can next to my ear is going to help me with my problem.”

“Trust me, it will do the job”, said the doctor..

So the man went home, lit a cracker and put it in a beer can. He held the can up to his ear and began to count:

“1, 2, 3, 4, ?5,” at which point he paused, and placed the beer can between his legs so he could continue counting on his other hand.
