Aussies still flocking here

Stats NZ reports:

Net migration from Australia continued to rise, with a net gain of 1,600 migrants. This is the highest annual net gain of migrants from Australia since the September 1991 year and the fifth consecutive month to show an annual net gain.

We all know that there has been a big change from a few years ago, but the trend is still continuing.

• Arrivals from Australia for year to February are 9.6% higher than the previous year
• Departures to Australia for year to February are 7.1% higher than the previous year
• Net migration to Australia has gone from 2,390 net to Australia to 1,720 net to NZ.
