      In my studies in psychology and sexuality it became apparent that the clitoris was indeed a strange organ. Its sole purpose was to create feelings of pleasure. Now many of the other organs, if not most have a role to play in keeping the body alive and healthy. And men don’t have an organ that is solely dedicated to pleasure. But most red blooded men do get a tremendous amount of satisfaction in inducing pleasure in women. Maybe she is jealous of the fact that many men derive great satisfaction through this organ that only women have. Now we can’t have that, can we, men deriving pleasure from women….     Wrong, Penny had to later back track on the amount of profit. The proceeds of the sale of timber was split between the council & the Maoris. The amount of return to the council (less than $500k) was barely greater than the amount that ratepayers were forced to pay as a targeted rate. However, the Maoris seemed to have pocketed all proceeds and paid nothing towards the project costs. The ratepayers were ripped off.

      It is 74 years since the us and SU (Joey) first met. Every proposed meeting is subject to sabotage attempts. For example, Eisenhower’s meeting with Khrushchev was cancelled when someone countered his specific orders to stop U2 over sight flights until after the meeting.
      I met Francis Gary Powers in Houston in 1970 when he signed my copy of his memoire. He told me that he had been ordered to stand down. Then quite unexpectedly he was summoned to the flight on which he was shot down. He never found out what had happened. But he did say that his book had been censored by “powerful interests”.

  For the life of me I can’t see that what Trump did was so bad? He hasn’t given away anything to Putin. He hasn’t made any nefarious deal with Putin.
  
  His crime was not saying what the media wanted him to say about Russia interfering with the 2016 election. I don’t think he ever will do either. The reason being that Russia interfering with the 2016 election is conflated with Trump colluding with Russia to steal the election from Hillary Clinton.
  
  This is the central issue from Trump’s point of view. He believes that if he says yes Russia definitely interfered with the 2016 election than his opponents will take a mile and say his election was illegitimate and stolen from the rightful winner Hillary Clinton.
  
  Regarding Russia we should see what comes out of the summit? Everybody on the left and the right is getting far too overheated on this issue in my opinion.
  
  The facts appear to be these – the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia. There probably was interference by Russia in the 2016 election but this did not change results or the vote tallies in any way. And the actual person in charge of the country during the 2016 election, one Barack Obama, did nothing about it.

      He thought he could handle this guy on his own and was totally intimidated.

        No I don’t get the feeling he was intimidated, at least, not to the point that Obama was over his “red line” with Syria when he let Russia walk all over him. Trump did say before the election that he was going to try to mend relations with Russia. I think he is trying to do that to a certain extent. Russia knows he is no pushover though.         Actually Trump has been far tougher and harder on Putin and the Russians than Obama ever was. The real person who showed himself to be intimidated and overawed by Putin was Obama.
        
        Trump has, for example
        
        1. Permitted lethal weapons to be sold to the Ukrainians which Obama wouldn’t do;
        2. Full on fracking which depresses the oil price which hurts Russia as they get something like 90% of the foreign income from oil & gas;
        3. Opposed the gas pipeline to Germany which Obama didn’t.
        4. Opposed Russia’s ally Iran’s attempts to become THE regional power in the middle East, something Obama actively enabled.

    Since a chunk of the intelligence community has been involved in the long running slow walk (nice mixture that) coup to remove a duly elected POTUS, I don’t find it surprising that Trump is reluctant to entirely support the US Intelligence apparatus.
    
    The latest indictments of a range of Russians is pure grandstanding. Mueller’s team has no original evidence of who if anyone hacked the DNC or Podesta emails, the only evidence was collected by a company Crowdstrike who are run by committed anti-Russian Ukrainian. And who just as an aside, entirely failed to prevent teh removal of emails. They claim to have been notified in April 2016 and to have installed software to prevent exfiltration in early May, yet the huge majority of the emails that were extracted are dated between 19 and 25 May. That does suggest one of three things – Crowdstrike are totally ineffective and incompetent; or they actually wanted the almost entirely innocuous emails (read them, there’s only 7 people’s emails and most are in finance or admin and there’s NO emails from any senior operational people) to be extracted for some purpose; or they weren’t hacked by removed by an insider so unaffected b y any Crowdstrike anti-hacking software. Of course all three could be true. Just note that the Mueller indictment says that the emails were exfiltrated in late May early June, yet another “mistake” as that is simply not true, no emails after 25 May were taken and released.
    
    And Guccifer2, that suppoosed expert hacker, who instead of just releasing the documents hge said he had hacked, instead created his own Russian Language blank document, copied and pasted the contents of some hacked documents into that blank template so they showed Cyrillic language settings, and then converted them to PDF, and back again so Cyrillic error messages would be embedded for url’s that have a space in them (linked to specific versions of Word) – gosh, for a secret Russian hacker he seemed to be either utterly incompetent or determined to show a trail leading to Russia. Why would he bother to copy/paste and not just release the files, and if he must c/p, why use a freebie Russian linked version of an old copy of Word ?
    
    Based on this and other identified issues with RSID records and dates, it seems more than likely that G2 is a “plant”, quite possibly a sock puppet operated by Crowdstrike. Yet Mueller and his team seem to think he is most definitely a Russian. If correct, based on his complete lack of tradecraft, the Russians should probably send him over to the US as punishment for being so inept.

    I agree he’s finding it very hard to wrap himself around the Russia meddling. If he admits it happened as the Intel community say, then he believes it deligitimises his place as President.
    
    Of course legally it doesn’t, the election happened and he won, he’s been sworn in so it can’t be undone now.
    
    I think he basically just cannot countenance the fact that his greatest ever personal victory was actually somewhat undermined by the Russians. His strategy is to attack his own side in order to preserve his own personal position.
    
    He’s too stupid or egotistical to realise the damage he’s doing to America’s role and position. He is weakening the role of leader of the free world by associating with Putin and taking him at his word.

      Latest bit of news to drop. It appears that the Chinese infiltrated the Clintonmail server (note that this is different from the DNC or DCCC email systems, and separate again from John Podesta’s email) and added in a bit of code that bcc’d every single outgoing email to a Chinese server.
      
      That’s all her emails including all those she deleted and scrubbed AND all the Classified ones (and please, no bullshit about being not classified at the time – some were said by the FBI to have been at the highest security level). All of them, all gone to the Chinese intelligence service.
      
      And guess what, this was detected and this information was provided to both Peter Strzok and to Intelligence Community Inspector General (who told Strzok actually). And, that was ignored and not acted upon.
      
      So the FBI statements that say that the Clinton server may or may not have been hacked by a foreign player or players was knowingly false and misleading – an outright lie. All to cover up that they were covering for Clinton.
      
      How much worse would it have been perceived if in the midst of all the eMail misuse kerfuffle the story got out that not only did Clinton have classified information illegally on her home-brew server, but that every single email had been read by the Chinese.
      
      So it appears that Trump was asking the wrong people for HRC’s emails during the campaign, instead of suggesting that the FBI ask the Russians for them, he should have suggested that they ask the Chinese. And amusingly, the FBI (or some of them) knew about this at the time – and said and did nothing about it.
      
      Tell me again folks about how Hillary was innocent ?

        It’s supposed to be something from Lisa Page’s testimony to the House committee. That’s a closed doors hearing but details can of course leak out. I think Colonel Lang got it from True Pundit.
        
        So not definite but Colonel Lang has been a reliable source in the past.
        
        Next uncorroborated snippet, Mueller plans to offer the Podesta brothers immunity to testify against Manafort. That, if true and one can’t be sure about that, would be a genuinely disgusting and politically biased development as the Podesta’s were every bit as complicit as Manafort as they were in the various schemes together. The main difference seems to be the Mueller is only interested in those with a symbolic R after their name and steadfastly looks after the interests of those with a D. May not be correct though, he has asked for an immunity deal for 5 witnesses against Manafort though, names not confirmed.

I don’t know what it is about the police. I have recently had two completely different experiences.

1. Reporting an incident I witnessed involving serious abuse of a child. The constable was polite and efficient and sensible.

2. I was wheeling a shopping trolley out of a supermarket across a pedestrian crossing to my car. My plan was to unload my groceries and then return the trolley. Next thing a motorcycle cop comes at me with his lights flashing accusing me of “theft “ of the trolley. I could not reason with him. He demanded that I return the trolley even though my car was 20 metres away.

Now technically I was in breach of the supermarket terms and conditions by taking the trolley across the road. But that is a civil matter. No way could the police support a case for “theft”.

Anyway this cop literally followed me on his motorcycle all the way back to the home of the trollies.

    No those people who hire rental cars and don’t return them, ever, are guilty of theft. If you return your car a day late, that is a civil matter. If you are three days over due and have not communicated with the rental car company, you can expect the police to assume you have crashed off a cliff or have done a runner with the car.

  Probably the same jack-booted thug that pulled me over once for running an amber light.
  He was perpendicular to the intersection and “assumed” the light was red.
  When I asked him why he didn’t pull over the car behind me he made some excuse about me being the first one.
  I challenged it in court and when he came to give evidence I only had to ask one question:
  “How far was my car from the intersection the light changed from green to amber?”.
  He could not answer it.
  So I asked the JP who was presiding that if the cop could not tell how far I was from the intersection when the light changed, how could he tell if it was safe for me to stop or not.
  The JP agreed and threw out the charge – chastising the cop for wasting the courts time.

Ive been watching the first season of Veep and feel Labour may have watched it a year ago.

An incompetent, narcissistic, airhead is promoted far above her ability and surrounds herself with incompetents.
She has a boyfriend who is only attracted to the power and prestige, becomes pregnant which she hides and then decides to make out her government is the most transparent in history while refusing to takes notes or minutes as these can be requested in OIA.

I’ll keep watching and see what else Labour have in store for us.

Our tertiary education is going to sink further as the equality freaks at the Tertiary Education Commission threatens that funding will be trimmed to meet “equality” goals.

Here’s some of what Tertiary Education Commission deputy chief executive Paora Ammunson is reported by Radio NZ as saying:

“”For this year we’re not denying institutions funding but what we’re saying to them is ‘here is an area of provision where there are yawning disparities. Before we release that funding to you we want to have a chat with you’,” he said.

“We want to see from the tertiary providers that they’ve got a plan in place to achieve those goals.”

The report adds, that, if it is not satisfied with an institution’s response to poor results, the commission could allocate funding to higher-performing courses at other institutions.

The co-leader of the Maori Students’ Association, Pohoira Hughes-Iopata, is reported as saying:

“Funding would make a huge difference for institutions because that’s money that they’re missing out on if they don’t find a way to improve.

“That would be definitely be an important tool in encouraging TEOs [tertiary education organisations] to up their game around creating parity.”

Parity? What about goals of academic and research and education excellence?

And if the commission is going to push for racial equality, will it stop at just the Maori and Pacific Islander ethnicities it champions? If, say whites, are not attaining the levels of ethnic-Asian students, will there be financial penalties to change this? What if males are not achieving levels of females?

Expect more kapihaka and Maori oral history degrees to result from this. Let’s hope that the universities won’t react as Britain’s top universities have with measures such as extended time limits for examinations to help academically inferior students pass.

A great way to grease the slide for a remote group of South Pacific islands to slip into the Third World.

      Funnily enough, Obama complained of exactly the same problem with NATO – that most of the members don’t pay their way despite signing agreements to spend specified levels.
      
      Of course being Obama he was just too weak to do anything but moan futilely about it. Trump makes the same point but actually proposes do something about it. He also criticises Germany for refusing to spend its agreed share but being willing to spend billions on bringing in Russian gas and making themselves dependent on Russia for energy. You do have to wonder who’s side they’re actually on. Under Mama Merkel, and ex-east German, you’d have to wonder just how much she yearns to be back under Russian authority again.
      
      And just to further address your point, I might have let a rare glimmer of approval for Obama show had he made credible threats about NATO members paying their fair-share of the burden of defending themselves. But he was obviously just too clever and superior to try to actually achieve something. No wonder the rest of the world treated him like a door mat – he was ridiculously incompetent.

I lived in South Africa (many places) for 30 years and I can speak three African languages. I grew up with kids who ended up being found guilty of murder. I was involved in high-violence incidents.   No it doesn’t, why did they pardon communists like Angela Merkel who was a member of the communist party and all the rest of her collaboraters that are still up to their mischief yet continue to use ‘Nazism’ as an excuse to crack down on their political opposition.
  
  You know Merkel just recently got back from her Russian masters and arranged more big pay checks to fund the Russian army in exchange for oil and gas which she has banned German companies from extracting.
  
  Once a traitor always a traitor I suppose. Someone should investigate her because I bet her loyalties still belong to her Russian masters. And if things in Europe continue to deteriorate they will have the perfect excuse to not just reoccupy all the territory they lost but also to cross the Rhine and go all the way to the Atlantic!
  
  Good thing the UK is leaving that cesspit, hopefully they will maintain their own independent military force and keep a strong nuclear deterrence! The French will undoubtedly surrender and the rest of Europe has no real military capacity, the quick response force Germany out together for all of Europe was training with broomsticks painted black because real weapons were not in the budget!

      Yeah I agree I try and stay away from labels, what labels gets you is the textbook definition of nazi germany with the portrayal of 4 million some such number of jews so called poilentlessly murdered.
      
      Its best not to put humankind and human ideas in boxes. Its best to judge for instance the platform of a party or a person on the merits of their ideas.
      
      And supposedly left-wing means marxism and right wing means economic freedom, but you don’t seem to get much commitment to either of those from either side really. Nor does it describe their views in terms of any other basis i.e. social freedom, or authoratarinism or internationalism or any other hot-button issue…
      
      Its virtually meaningless to call people left or right nowadays. Its just a label, either of which triggers half the population and shuts down discord.

  I haven’t thought about this in any detail, but one preliminary legal issue that will arise is the right to sue – the legal term is “standing”. If the speaking tour promoters were to sue, they’d definitely have standing. But, for others, it’s not immediately clear to me how they’d have standing, other than perhaps on the basis that they were denied the right to attend an event.

  Hmmm, written by Christians no doubt, though to be fair the actual disciples were not christian as such. They were followers of a messianic jewish preacher who formed what was the “church of Jerusalem”.
