Let not Jacinda put asunder
A couple of examples of Māorification of Government statements and publications –
… [the Human Rights Commission] considers that tikanga Māori has an important place in the provision of ongoing support for the community. Tikanga Māori are the first laws of Aotearoa, providing deeply embedded systems and practices to regulate behaviour.
Grounded in relationships between people, the natural environment and the spiritual world, key concepts and practices – such as utu, muru and ea – deal with maintaining harmonious relationships, reciprocity and restoring balance when these are disrupted.
… Such [a Te Tiriti o Waitangi based, collaborative] approach may be better able to acknowledge and address issues of collective accountability and ensure responses uphold and restore the mana of those affected.
– page 4, Reflections on the Report of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the terrorist attacks on Christchurch Masjidain on 15th March 2019

– addressing believers in Islam, and on behalf of those who died for their belief?

And in a rather more intensely Māorified report – Ināia tonu nei: a low emissions future for Aotearoa – the Climate Change Commission in the second last sentence of the Introduction, says –

“The time is now, Ināia tonu nei, to lead the change we want to see and to remain steadfast to the values that underpin our nationhood—values like whanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga and manaakitanga.

– and in the last sentence translates those values –
“We recognise the power of being connected to each other, having an ethic of care, respect in the way we progress, and taking care of things for ourselves and our mokopuna”

But surely in driving a cultural wedge between Māori and the nation’s 83 percent non-Māori, and indeed driving a similar wedge between Māori Elite and Māori of lower social levels, isn’t Ardern’s Labour Government utterly ignoring, even betraying, any sense of whanaungatanga (the power of being connected to each other), kaitiakitanga (having an ethic of care), and manaakitanga (respect in the way we progress).

Labour’s vast cultural appropriation is a sham, of which Jacinda should in fact be utterly ashamed.
But, although most of Jacinda’s tactics are obfuscation, rather than transparency, you should still try to see through them.
Why say “They Are Us” when you would then act to split “Us” apart?

  Labour will always say they are one of us.
  Labour are unionists operating like unionists.
  
  A unionists only role is to exist.
  A unionist will go into a place of work, look for the one most disgruntled Ahole every workplace has and carefully ramps up a minor grievance into a major grievance with management..
  Then, for a modest fee deducted from those least able to afford it, turn a largely harmonious workplace into a miserable war of constant battles.
  Workers against management.
  Union members will form a strict hierarchy for any form of promotion regardless of ability.
  The most rubbish employee will be defended.
  Wages will be discussed, so will hours, variations, entitlements.
  Union members against non union members
  Union members against contractors.
  Union bread makers will strike for bolt manufactures if they manipulated by the same union franchise.
  Union members force the idea everyone wants the same thing at the same time at the same time of life as normal.
  God help any construction company in a contract with a completion over a date penalty.
  Unions are never at fault and if they make things worse is because its and are just as much a “victim” of the circumstances they created…sound familiar?

  Success can only be achieved by standing on the necks of Labour supporters no matter what that success is.

There has been no shortage of mockery directed at people who have been questioning the safety and efficacy of the experimental genetic injectables. ‘Covid nutto-whack jobs’ is a favourite of one of our KB brethren. ‘Conspiracy theory!’ is another favourite sledge, one I suggest is usually lobbed by the obviously ignorant. The problem for those feverishly bull-horning such statements is that the evidence of massive harm is building faster than the official narrative channels can suppress it. Here are some of the more recent examples of this swelling evidence base:-

– Excess deaths continue to climb. For example, in England and Wales at week 41, excess deaths are 16.8% above the 5 year average. Another example is from Australia where the 75-84 year old cohort is being annihilated, with 8k excess deaths since they were forced, cajoled and bullied into taking the experimental genetic injectables.

– Further, the funeral business is booming. Service Corporation International (NYSE:SCI) is the US’s largest listed owner of funeral homes and cemeteries. Thomas L Ryan, SCI’s CEO said “We’re having to do at one point of time 20 percent more funerals which is unheard of in a year versus, let’s say, a year or two before”. SCI jumped 10% recently on record revenues. Disclosure: I own a small parcel of SCI.

– Injected children are dying at an alarming rate. Double injected kids are dying at a rate of 15.22x uninjected kids, and triple injected kids at a rate of 45.23x uninjected kids.

– Cancer occurrence is at a 9-Sigma divergence. Many aren’t usual cancers that could be attributed to lockdown-related treatment delays. For example, Testicular Cancer occurrence in the US is at a 10-Sigma divergence meaning the chances of this increase being a natural cycle/trend variation are billions to one.

For anyone who gets their ‘news’ from the mainstream media none of this will align with their perception of the world. However there are literally thousands of channels where the truth is leaking out, and yes, there are some crackjobs in the mix too. But for anyone with eyes open, there is now unassailable evidence of these experimental genetic injectables causing systemic harm to the cohort who have taken them.

Suppression on the part of some may be welcomed by many because confronting the personal impact of this evidence may be too painful. I’d venture to suggest that some of the downticks on this comment are evidence of that. As the Matrix’s Cypher said: “Ignorance is bliss”, but ignorance is ultimately bad for humanity. A safe, civil future demands that those responsible for the most egregious abuses of their fellow humans should be held to account.

  I wonder how much they paid Twitter over the past couple of years and what effect this may have had on Twitter censoring alternative treatments and questions about the safety and efficacy of the vaccines.

  Thats the problem faced by the state. Admit to making a horrible mistake and the general population loses confidence in govt. Then govt cant get anything done. Or just gaslight or stonewall the jaxx garbage to preserve people’s confidence in govt.

    They cannot admit it, the potential backlash would be off the scale and unpredictable. But certainly it would be at a level unseen in NZ. There has never been a betrayal and abuse of human rights on such a scale as that imposed by Ardern and her government.

  Thanks. I have been following the excess deaths. You would think that this would be headline news globally.
  
  There are still people pushing for young children to be vaccinated. One of the most strident in New Zealand is Julie Ann Genter who is highly critical of the government for the delays in the approval of the vaccine for infants aged 6 months and older. She has two such children.
  
  It astounds me. The Greens, and JAG specifically, oppose GM organisms which have been demonstrated to be safe. Technology that would deliver huge benefits to agriculture. For example there are GM grasses that reduce methane emissions.
  
  Yet she is intending to give her infants the COVID vaccine at the earliest opportunity.

    BY – if she genuinely supports these jabs and is prepared to inflict them on here children then all it proves is that she is an incompetent person and not very intelligent. There is too much evidence available now for anyone to claim they don’t know. Maybe a few months ago, but no longer.
    
    That she and so many like her have access to power is quite a concerning situation. They are dangerous ideologues without the ability to think rationally. Not good.

        I should clarify. The vaccine for children aged 6 months to 4 years has not been approved by Medsafe. Pfizer has applied for approval. JAG is urging Medsafe to get a move on so she can vaccinate her children because she is worried that they are being placed at risk by COVID. This worry has extended to her partner approaching their local MP to complain about the delay.
        
        Therefore I conclude that her comments have nothing to do with “political expediency’. Indeed she is criticising the Government for being incompetent with releasing the vaccine for infants. Even IF Medsafe approves it, the Government needs to authorise it for use and they need to fund it.

  Table 11 of the latest MHRA Yellow Card report published on 3rd November reveals there have been 58 new vaccine deaths in the last four weeks and that eight of these are children.

‘Viewers were left in the dark this morning after TVNZ’s morning news show Breakfast went off-air for nearly 45 minutes.
The show was on for around a minute at its usual start time of 6am on Monday before disappearing, with Breakfast’s Twitter account citing “technical issues.”
In the absence of the Breakfast show, Dog Squad Puppy School filled in.’

The standard of critiquing of Jacinda’s Government was at an all-time-high for the timeslot…

This morning at 530am, nothing to be seen.

I had to roll through the feed twice before I found one story from last night – buried about 27 stories deep.
Anyone reading $1tuffed this morning could be forgiven for thinking that no poll was released.

  Not sure this is a conspiracy. The problem I have with the format of the Stuff, Herald, RNZ, NewHub websites is that it is practically impossible to find older stories that are ‘non breaking news’. They seem to not have any kind of system to allow important / popular stories to stay on their home page. They just pop the latest stories on the top and push everything else down.
  
  I am constantly surprised with the poor design of all there web sites. Overseas websites do a much better job.

Yet another jamboree. The 27th COP but interspersed with thousands of meetings of “experts”. Each in a different, and salubrious setting. They have been at it since 1980 – over 40 years and what do they have to show for it? Zilch.

Three of the biggest emitters – China, India and Russia have low level reps attending indicating they do not take any real notice of these threats and projections.

As for the rest of us – polls show its a yawn, with cost of living and economic issues away ahead as priorities for most of us. Remove a few people reliant on claiming catastrophes for their living and a compliant media and no one would notice.

Student loans / allowances … does something need to be reformed here? My son’s two flatmates dropped out of university this year due to not being able to afford to live.

I don’t see how students manage without parent help. When I was at uni you could get through the year with a xmas holiday job. The big difference was rent was affordable back then.

  My oldest will graduate his 5 yr Uni this year with about $35k in the bank. He has a $70k student loan but is not worried. Turned down a $200k job in order to gain experience elsewhere.
  
  Next boy is studying along nicely, spent last year living off $9 per week after expenses. Picked up a few holiday jobs here and there. Has a nice job lined up for this summer that will nett him approx $10k.
  
  Daughter has realised she will be about $7k short for the next uni year and is beavering away at part time jobs over summer.
  
  It’s really not that difficult if the kids are willing to apply themselves.

    The jobs for the young ones are out there as everyone is so short staffed.
    In Devonport there are so many Students working in Restaurants and the supermarket is just full of Takapuna Grammar Students.
    Our 17yo does 3-4 shifts a week (not at the moment due to exams) and he is saving heaps.
    Goes up to $22 an hour in Jan.

  The course fees are becomming out of control. As the govt makes support for students higher (and they have) the universitys can ‘squeeze’ more money from the students. Its a money go round. Increased support will be met with increased fees and expenses. This happened in a massive way in the US too.

  My niece who is at uni says the opposite. She got a student allowance this year as her parents were mandated out of their jobs. Said she is awash with money. $350 per week and pays $100 pw to live in a flat in Riccarton (there are 6 in the flat).
  
  When I was at uni in the 90s I got $107 pw student allowance and paid $60 of it it rent.

Sounds like the Prime Minister will leave the 2023 election as late as possible, implying more time to push through its legislative priorities.

National in particular has an experienced team, and I sincerely hope the team is working on how to reverse a raft of policies. Several policies are being very deliberately embedded with contracts, commitments and complexities as we speak.

      hullkiwi – maybe I was unlucky and got her at a tough time of day. Maybe she was just out of the loop which is possible. But it was fascinating when she was referred to me by someone to correct me when I said that Ardern was not opposing the TPPA at the time when it was being protested against by many of the left, including the major protests in Auckland.
      
      It was presumed by many that she and the Labour Party were opposed, especially when they had been running a petition on their website that stated in no uncertain terms:
      
      NO TO TPPA which had garnered hundreds of thousands of digital signatures. It vanished from the website a week or so out from the election. It became clear that for whatever reason, policy had changed.
      I was in a debate with someone on the Labour Facebook page and they gave me grief for suggesting Labour were going to support it.

        Sorry, but politicians by their very nature are never allowed to admit they have been wrong or made a mistake. And they will never issue a real apology for a mistake that can be traced to them.
        
        Instead we get vacuous apologies for events and circumstances that occurred before Jacinda most contemporary commentators were born and even involved her father. All to carry favour with the Polynesian electorate. If it could help her.

  If you read the Treaty of Waitangi carefully, you will notice Article 2 is really all about what the Chiefs of the Tribes are to retain and what they can sell.
  
  Basically the slaves, hangers-on and dependants of the Tribes are in the clutches of the Chiefs.
  
  So if a Tribe receives a Waitangi handout, their Chiefs (tribal authority) decide how that money is spent/invested…. and for many of the tribes there is no great desire to tackle the problems of their lower ranked members.

Yesterday in GD, Wayne Mapp told us various Maori and Marae based PHO’s… are now quite widespread throughout NZ, and are generally known as He Puna Hauora… Maori specific health initiatives and providers have been around for 30 years.

Does anyone (Mr Mapp perhaps) know if their performance has been rigorously evaluated? Given that the Maori Health Authority is being justified in part as a solution to racism allegedly in the health system, it would be useful to know 1) how (in)effective HPH has been been in improving Maori health and eliminating racism; 2) what additional benefits a properly implemented MHA is likely to offer over the current system.

Of course, given the current government’s record, effective implementation is an entirely unrealistic hope.

My, that poll was fun. Labour at 32%. A massive recession beckons next year. It’s not looking good for poor, old Cindy. I think that in next years general election, Labour will score in the twenties.

I’ve seen polls that made me sad. For example, there was an early poll that showed 93% supporting the Covid response. I was one of the 7% dissenters.

The mainstream narrative remains that Labour did a good job on Covid. I have a different theory.

My theory is that a lot of people secretly realise that got cheated during the Covid hoax. They are in denial, and tow the party line in public, but perhaps unconsciously they realise now that they got played.

Being conned is one of the worst feelings in life. No one wants to admit that they were not rational, and were tricked.

I sense that increasing numbers of people realise they were cheated and lied to. This is one of the reasons that trust has collapsed in Cindy.

That’s my two cents worth…

Reach out to those who you othered or smeared, or ignored, or ridiculed. Admit your mistake, apologise.   The only thing that I signed up to during Covid fiasco was the vaccine, which I did enthusiastically and willingly.
  
  When the facts change, I change my mind. The data coming out now about the vaccine now is troubling, no question. Suffice to say, I wouldn’t have the vaccine now, with the information that I now have.
  
  I don’t blame anyone for my decisions at the time, except myself.
  
  The ubiquity of Zero Covid nutjobs at that time still amazes me. At the time, belief in this insane fairy tale was almost unanimous. It’s hard to believe now, but almost everyone signed up.
  
  If I feel cheated by our Covid response, how must the legions of people feel now, who adopted zero Covid as their new religion for a couple of years?

  Once upon a time WINZ offices (or their equivalent) displayed large noticeboards detailing Jobs available and contact details of Employers needing workers.
  
  As a Uni student I could rock up to the board, call a number and hey presto, get some work.
  
  Years later when my eldest daughter was looking for employment and went to WINZ, she had to attend meetings and sit through talks about how to write CVs and how to dress nicely for an interview..
  (even though she had a 1st-class Hons degree and had had part-time work)..
  
  My Youngest also contacted WINZ once when she was looking for work… She was told to report to the Newtown Office at 9am for a “training” session… She duly did and no-one turned up to deliver the session.
  
  My impression is that the folks in WINZ have no idea about types of jobs, job vacancies, or Employers’ needs.

Where is the MP in NZ who is questioning the vaccine safety and the ethics of the NZ response. Where is our data on the number of ACC claims being made. Who knew it didn’t stop transmission and when.

I raised the issues of young males and heart attacks at the beginning of the vaccine programme after a new york times article confirming the issue in 2021, outlining that some countries were only vaccinating young men with a single dose because they knew of the issues, and i received no response from my Nat mp, ACT leader or Labour MP.

  Surely Knott – Dr John Campbell has just done a Youtube video re heart issues after vaccination. It’s a bit cryptic, that is because he knows he cannot say anything negative about the jabs or he can be deplatformed for promoting “misinformation.” It’s a great watch.
  Basically, he shows studies around the world pre vaccination programmes which clearly prove that covid infection did NOT increase the risk of pericarditis or myocarditis. Post covid infection had nothing to do with either.
  However, these numbers changed dramatically once the vaccines were rolled out, there was a massive increase in both.
  As Dr John politely points out with a nod and a wink, something else must be causing this problem. Of course he can’t state it. How sad is the level of censorship these days?
  
  Basically, work it out for yourself, but it’s patently obvious that the jabs are the cause. No doubt whatsoever.

If New Zealand were deprived of oil and gas today, the country would crash into a preindustrial dystopia. That will be true in 2030 and 2040, at least. And probably in 2050.

Let’s say in the next 20 years, we can get 100 percent electric light motor vehicles (cars). And 100 percent renewable electricity. That would be amazing, but let’s assume it is possible.

We would still need diesel for locomotives, for earth moving equipment, for tractors, and probably for the largest trucks. We will need gas to make fertiliser and as a chemical feedstock. And we will definitely need JET A1 for airplanes.

I am starting to think that no journalists in New Zealand understand basics of energy and industrial and transport processes. Natural gas will be a ‘golden fuel’ for at least another three decades. If we do not find any more here, we will need to import it from Australia.

I find these ‘journalists’ frustrating beyond words.

  We live in a magical age where technology has evolved extremely quickly. For example, these days a computer mouse (yes, just the mouse!) has a 32-bit processor hundreds of times more powerful than the CPU used to fly the Apollo moon lander.
  
  Batteries are just technology too. Surely we will see the same rapid improvement in batteries, charging systems etc?
  
  Of course we don’t because they are entirely different technologies constrained by entirely different laws of physics. Batteries are only a few times better than they were a hundred years ago. Electrical generation is similar.
  
  But the unwashed media do not understand and believe and promote bullshit.

  Apart from the shunting locomotives all others can be very easily electrified. But even the shunting plant can be electrified if right batteries are fitted.

  To be fair, (and I know more than most Kiwis about the Canadian Dairy industry)… the protectionism is literally *shocking* and I don’t use that word often. as an example, CA has a national milk quota – exceed and tip out. Also, the taxes Dairy products here are through the roof, next time I hear you guys complaining about Fonterrs/Anchor cheese, please remember I bought 225 g of cheddar today for $CAD7.51. Yes really, I wish the US would take CA on on this particular anomaly (its mostly a Quebec driven thing) it is a disaster, not just for you guys as exporters, but for us as residents and citizens.

The omissions are among a raft of changes to the document in an effort to be more inclusive and “address a detrimental imbalance of representation, understanding and appreciation of Māori knowledge, values and practice”.

Genuine question here, does anyone know why Worksafe is not looking at hospital staffing issues from a HSW perspective, it’s seems pretty clear from various statements by medical staff that some workplaces are not safe for patients or their own well-being ?
