        As I noted yesterday, our education system is churning out huge numbers of useless people. Some know they are useless, the rest are employed by the taxpayer directly or indirectly. The country gets poorer as the useless/useful ratio increases.

    The new PM is carved out of the same Labour Ideology, by end of the day nothing will be changed. All what he will do just promise heaven on earth, if they get in a 3rd term, all is on including Co-governance, 3(5)-Waters, Capital Gains Tax etc.
    So far he has done nothing, in fact he stuffed up the education system, since he is in charge of Police the crime got worse, as a Covid Minister he stuffed up the entire nation etc.
    As far as Sepuloni goes, she has been brought in a household whereby benefit fraud is common event, her mother was caught and convicted for fraud benefit. Someone like that is in charge of MSD and possible the Reserve PM

      I agree. Hipkins can’t make major changes to existing policy – he was an integral part of developing it. At best he can use his honeymoon period to axe some unpopular policies without appearing to flip flop. But no way will he touch 3 waters/cogovernance – he would have assured the Maori caucus already, which is why they didn’t meet yesterday.

        It is a direct result of Labour’s gross economic stuff-up over Covid: sending money supply soaring by printing (and buying) billions of dollars worth of bonds. It was Social Credit madness without a Social Credit government.
        
        Inflation will be a big topic this election year, and Labour will try to lie its way out of blame.

December 8, 2022
“There’s yet another fight brewing inside the Labour Party, with Chris Hipkins refusing to rule out the Māori Caucus’ aspiration for a separate Māori education system”, says ACT’s Education spokesperson Chris Baillie.
“Labour’s obsession with imposing an ethnic and Treaty lens on everything has set it on a path towards co-government in education.

“An August 2022 briefing leaked to ACT shows the Government is considering the creation of an ‘independent statutory entity to lead and steward the Māori Medium Education and Kaupapa Māori Education System’ alongside the Ministry of Education.
“Today in Parliament, Hipkins refused to explicitly rule out a separate Māori education system. He clearly doesn’t want it, but he’s keeping his options open because the powerful Māori Caucus aspires to a separate body.
“A separate Māori education system would be divisive and there’s no evidence that it would produce better outcomes for students.

“ACT has shown what works in education: devolving decisions to parents and communities through Partnership Schools.
“An independent report by MartinJenkins on Partnership Schools showed student engagement was significantly improved, there were fewer stand-downs and suspensions, students gave positive feedback, families felt more involved, and very few students opted out.

“If the Government wishes to give Māori a greater say over the education of Māori students, it should use an established and successful idea that was supported by the Iwi Chairs Forum – Partnership Schools.”

And if not in an Election year, will it be waiting for just after any Labour victory, now unlikely as that seems? So it should be discussed in an Election year any case, along with other matters Labour attempts to drop for Election year.

Or will timid reLuxtance allow that to happen – Labour victory, that is, or dropping of issues?

The term ‘hater’ is thrown around today with increasing abandon. Anyone criticising Ardern and her incompetence as the former leader of the country is quickly deemed a misogynist or a ‘hater’. It seems more common among lefties, sycophants who adore and don’t analyse and lightweights devoid of debating points.

Calling me a ‘hater’ says much more about you than me. Besides the mischaracterisation and the odium attached to the term it tells me:

1. You do not have a defence based on logic, common sense or intelligence.
2. You are mostly insecure, riddled with anxiety, struggling with self esteem.
3. You play the man not the ball stuff to create a diversion or shut down discussion
4. It usually means I have already won the point – you know it and cannot cope.
5. Often you use the term because you hate yourself and see me as the person you would like to be.

It also runs much deeper. Stifling debate by labelling people with extreme and obnoxious terms is aimed at removing critical thinking and constructive analysis. It paves the way forward for the growing band of totalitarians wanting to hobble democracy and impose their “superior” ideology. Not allowing any criticism of the catastrophic climate change meme, refusing to cover the negative aspects of Covid treatments are already bedded in. Nasty responses to any questioning using pejorative labels like “hater” is just another step down the road of rule by the elites. Sometimes called “the new deal”.

  The number of times I’ve seen the word “misogyny” in stories regarding Ardern in the last 24 hours is telling and it is global.
  This isn’t an accident. Its the same as the use of “anti vaxxer”, “misinformation” and “conspiracy theory” over the last few years. Meaningless terms used to vilify and end debate.
  
  There is nothing “misogynistic” about disliking Ardern and her tyrannical policies. Her biological sex has nothing to do with her unpopularity. Anyone attempting to use it is unable to present a valid argument to support their position.
  The Karens (and Kens) everywhere will cling to this belief until their dying day, that their princess was the victim of “far right misogynists.”
  They cannot face the fact that she was useless at the job, she divided a country, she destroyed an economy and she deliberately created a two tier society and punished good people for daring to not bow down to her.

    Disappointing then, that Mr Hipkins apparently did nothing to respect, or even speak to, the mandate protesters when they first arrived at Parliament last year.

    Yep, if all these (leftie) political commentators, Labour/Ardern supporters and media opinion writers also came out against the misogyny, misandry, bigotry, effigy-burning and effigy-pooping and throwing of sex-toys at National MP’s at the time then I would take their current views seriously.

  “Hater” and “phobic” (Islamophobia, Transphobia etc) are labels screamed by people whose actions are governed by faith rather than reason. Jacinda was guided by a belief that she was right. The COVID elimination strategy was right. When people used logic to point out it was absurd because the vaccines didn’t stop transmission, those people were the spreaders of disinformation.
  
  The “trans” movement is also based on faith. Anyone who identifies as a woman is a woman. This is big in the UK, and especially Scotland. There are lesbians in the UK who feel (unsurprisingly) that they do not want to have sexual relationships with trans women. Many of these women are being targeted as “Transphobic”.
  
  The world has gone mad. It will self correct. However, that could take some time. It will get worse before it gets better.

  Isn’t it sad and telling that those who are at the frontline calling for equal treatment of women , are the same people calling for different treatment for female PMs.
  Negative comment on Ardern is not allowed but negative , nasty stuff about male PMs particularly a National one, is to be applauded.
  I’m still waiting for anyone to show me articles of Ardern being assaulted on Waitangi Day, political campaign meetings of people chanting FU Ardern or media coverage of a close personal friend of an opposition MPs, song about doing nasty things to her daughter.
  Arderns had it easy. There aren’t many highly paid import jobs that effect the lives of so many, that would accept her total failure of pretty much everything she said she was going to do or achieve

Now he can fluff it again.
Sepuloni possibly something, but did not keep the Islanders on board in the Auckland Mayoral Election.
Hipkins, enjoy the UK Coronation, and the next 9 months whilst you can, before you get the boot – which is why no others contended.

Theft in supermarkets is common. It has increased dramatically since someone decided that criminals would not be stopped if they had got passed the checkout and that police would not be notified. Staff are not allowed to interfere at all. Security can only intervene if culprits can be caught prior to checkout. We are not talking about women with large coats nicking a few items in their inside pockets – it is loaded trolleys pushed out the door in full view.

It is one reason for higher grocery prices – we are subsidising petty crooks. Retail theft amounted to $1.2 Billion last year. That’s the recorded stuff only. Double it at least. It’s over $800 a household and maybe well over a $1,000 if unrecorded crime is added in.

If you buy weekly, your grocery bill could be $25 to $30 higher just to keep the crooks happy.

And of course that $25-30 isn’t for a weekly buy, it is just over a week as a statistic
But it will be more than you might give a guy sitting cross-leg with a cardboard sign outside the supermarket

But – That is what it is, yep

And – like everything else Jacinda has left Chippie to figure out – that doesn’t need to be what it is
Although trying unplugging New Zealand and plugging Aotearoa in, is not going to fix it.

  Well my spies tell me that for the last 5 years, while Grant was attempting (and failing) to keep the economy at least appearing like normal, Chippie was shoring up his base within the Party.
  
  Grant was the affable human face supposed to keep business and international markets calm, and Chippie was putting in the building blocks of the socialist revolution and the mass centralisation to come – the “commanding heights” if you like.
  
  Cindy was always a glove puppet, her job was to be adored and sell “brand kindness”
  
  Unfortunately:

The Platform has some interesting commentary and interviews on the compliance framework given to the media seeking funding by New Zealand on Air related to supporting the Treaty of Waitangi. It is an indication of the work that has been going on in this area by this government. It’s well worth a listen, from Plunkets first expose through to Seymour’s and Peters comments. The framework makes a number of assertions on New Zealand that appear to be accepted government policy now. I.e. New Zealand is a racist country, Maori never ceded governance to the Crown and there is a need for two systems, one for pakeha and one for Maori. So despite a change of figurehead, this government will still have the same policies and ideology. It may get hidden by Chippie through to the election but it’s there and will be brought back into policy once they get back into power whenever that maybe. It’s an insight to where this country is headed.

  The ToW clearly states in both English and Maori versions that the Chiefs conceded governance to the Crown in return for the Crowns protection and receiving all the rights of British citizens. Its there in black and white and no amount of but but but can change it.
  None of us where there at the time but we can understand the Chiefs were concerned with the tribal wars that had they continued would have eventually wiped out Maori. They were also concerned that the French might expand their control and they knew how the French treated the people of their colonies and it was a damn sight worse than the British. So they rightly figured the British were a better bet.

    The govt didn’t want competition from the private sector on that account and Hobson was sent with instructions to gain sovereignty and the sole right for the Crown to control land sales .

So, putting Chippie in the big seat means that labours Mr Fixit (and Mr Joyce he aint) has to drop a ton of his current workload.

And that workload has seen some spectacular failures. Take MoE as one. Attendance rates, the consolidation of tertiary institutions etc. Arguably our education system is in its worst shape since forever. Trouble is our measures of success and failure are held from us, the taxpayers who fund it all.

So, raises questions:

If Chippie isn’t taking these big ministries, who will? And we can expect better outcomes from them? (Stop sniggering)

The Maori caucus is a law unto themselves – will he dare reign them in and risk a snap election?

Interesting article in the Telegraph that you won’t see in the NZ msm re the NZ housing collapse (predicting a 28% fall by end of this year), basically attributing it to poor decisions by Ardern, Robertson and Orr. Also interesting to note that Brad Olsen, infometrics economist, a definite fan boy of Ardern and Labour, now starting to change his stripes and call them out for mistakes.

I guess Olsen can also see the writing on the wall and will be seeking consultancy work from the Nats down the track post election. Reading this article will definitely make you feel like leaving NZ or at least encouraging your young ones to go offshore. Especially if your livelihood depends on the NZ economy and you don’t have a mortgage free house.

“It was a bit of a laughing stock,” says Olsen. “The Prime Minister was elected partially on quite a strong focus around the housing market, affordability and home ownership for Kiwis,” he adds. “In fact, we’ve seen that affordability has gotten worse.”

Olsen concludes “New Zealand’s housing market has been “cooked” for a long time but Jacinda Ardern’s tenure has not helped, Olsen says.
“The current Government was voted in partially on trying to fix housing incomes,” he says. “That certainly hasn’t occurred.”

  Soaring Immigration
  
  Before the pandemic struck net migration had reached 85,106 people, compared with 55,353 when she took office in October 2017, according to official figures from Stats NZ. Net migration had reached its highest point since at least January 2002.
  
  “The conversation around migration has been fairly poisonous in recent times,” says Brad Olsen, an economist at Infometrics, a research consultancy. “Realistically, the issue wasn’t that we had a high level of migrants coming in, it’s that we didn’t plan for and fund for that growth.”
  
  So Labour campaigned on reducing immigration and did nothing, well not quite, allowed immigration to rise to its highest levels since 2002??
  
  Tax on landlords
  As demand outstripped supply, this only increased prices further, with tax regulations adding to the froth.
  
  “The tax system is oriented in a way that encourages investment in property effectively as a form of savings,” says Michael Gordon, acting chief economist at Westpac Institutional Bank.
  
  “So we’ve tended to have house prices basically being dictated by their investment value rather than their value as a dwelling. It’s the investors that set the pace and anyone who’s been looking for their own home has had to pay up to match the investors. That’s been a long running issue.”
  
  An attempt to change that without addressing the underlying issue of a lack of supply and excess demand has only pushed up rent prices.
  
  In March 2021 the Government announced that landlords would no longer be able to offset their mortgage interest costs against their rental income. Landlords have responded by passing on rising costs to tenants.
  
  Yet this was pointed out to Labour (and Greens) over the years that their “idealism” on controlling landlords would make things worse. But not only did Labour (and Greens) ignore that, the majority of the MSM instead of informing its readers/listeners/viewers, paid scant regard and were largely uncritical of Labour’s policies making things worse. PM Ardern was never held to account over this by (most of) the MSM (instead they gushed at her social media posts).
  
  The impact of low interest rates
  All of these issues came to a boiling point when New Zealand’s central bank, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, dropped interest rates from 1pc to 0.25pc in March 2020 response to the Covid pandemic.
  
  Interest rates had already been steadily falling in the preceding years, which coincided with an uptick in house prices.
  
  “Since the pandemic came through the huge levels of both government stimulus, but more importantly, monetary policy loosening and ultra cheap interest rates meant that a huge amount of people piled into the housing market because it was cheap,” says Gordon.
  
  The Reserve Bank of New Zealand had followed the lead of other countries that had dropped interest rates, but it did not take into account a divergence in Covid policies.
  
  New Zealand shut its borders early on and was able to stick to a “zero-Covid policy”, with its residents enjoying much more freedoms than other countries that had endured tough lockdowns.
  
  “That freedom plus very low mortgage rates caused one of, if not the biggest, house price booms in our history,” Gordon says. Prices went up by nearly 50pc from 2020 until the end of 2021.
  
  This is a massive failure that the Minister of Finance, Grant Roberston and RBNZ Head Adrian Orr are soley responsible for. Both of them should be resigning in disgrace ….
  
  A bursting bubble
  
  Gordon says policy decisions should have been trying to take the heat out of the housing market rather than creating a bubble, which finally burst when the Reserve Bank of New Zealand started raising interest rates in October 2021 to tackle inflation. The bank’s main policy rate has now reached 4.25pc.
  
  “Mortgage rates have now gone back to where they were in the mid 2010s,” he says. “Some people won’t have seen rates like this before, and that’s really changed the arithmetic in terms of what anyone, whether they’re an investor or a homeowner, would be willing to pay for a house.”
  
  Olsen says households who bought when interest rates were low are now facing much higher mortgage repayments. Mortgage rates have more than doubled within the last twelve months.
  
  “That’s a pretty significant hit to current owners who are having to find the money from somewhere to pay their mortgage, but also has severely limited the number of potential buyers that can get a mortgage,” he says.
  
  Labour are destroying the Kiwi dream of owning a house for new buyers and making it tough for existing homeowners.
  
  Labour (Ardern, Robertson and now Hipkins) should be held to account, but instead all we see is Ardern media sycophants “blaming the people” for being “misogynists” …. granted there is no place for misogyny and threats against ALL politicians, but there seems to be a disconnect when it comes to understanding why people “hate” Labour/Ardern etc. Sure some of it is ridiculous …. but some of it is from everyday Kiwi’s struggling with the cost of living increases (that Labour’s policies accelerated) and housing/rental affordability that is impacting on wide sectors of NZ’ers (eg not only poor and low income but also the middle and working classes).
  
  The buck stops with the top i.e. Labour …. but Ardern sycophant commentators are too blinded to see any of this.
  
  (Oh but they will “hold the top to account” once there is a change of Govt later in 2023 … confirming they are partisan leftie hacks)!

      Solar flares and the occasional danger they present in orbit (with days of warming) are well understood, and humans can handle a lot of radiation exposure with only small life-time increase in cancer risk. Flares take 2-6 days to get to earth, meaning there was only a few days of high risk in the Apollo missions.
      
      These days a storm shelter – small cavity inside heavy shielding provided by fuel or water or other useful mass is generally designed into long-duration missions outside the earths magnetosphere.

“For decile 1, fewer than one in four students passed the reading standard, just 10 per cent passed the numeracy standard and, tragically, just 2 per cent were able to pass the basic writing standard.

“The fact just two out of every 100 students in decile 1 high schools could pass a basic writing test should be a national outrage.
“The results for decile 2 students aren’t much better, with pass rates of just 30 per cent for reading, 12 per cent for numeracy and 8.5 per cent for writing.
“A world-class education system should be judged by how well it lifts children from underprivileged backgrounds and provides them with the opportunity to succeed in life. On this measure, Labour is completely failing and has no plan to turn things around.

who decided to define covid deaths as “any death with a positive PCR test at a 40 Ct” or even a death within 30 days of such a positive test?

who decided to count as a covid case any positive test result using a monstrously over-sensitive diagnostic underpinned by a regime of mass testing of the asymptomatic never before undertaken in human history?

this did not come out of nowhere. someone made these choices and determined what the “data” was going to be for this whole affair. and that person pivoted the whole world upon the fulcrum of this seemingly small technical choice.

Indeed, who are the people who came up with these clearly idiotic numbers? In NZ the CT for PCR testing was run at 40, monstrously inaccurate. Who here decided that was appropriate? It wasn’t Ardern, we know she isn’t very intelligent, but someone told her and Hipkins that it was a good idea.

It is the same with the “climate change” nonsensical numbers.

and if you think this is bad (covid data) you should see what’s going on with climate science where the data is of such low quality, so adulterated, and so deliberately misrepresented that it takes 2 weeks just to really explain to someone how to read it critically.

these people have been caught cheating and hiding the data so many times as to disqualify them from ever being trusted again. the “hockey stick” used by al gore and the IPCC in AR4 was a complete fraud. the math was so bad that it created hockey stick shapes from random number strings.

and the issues go all the way to the base data.

the US temperature system run by the NOAA has one-sided warming slanted error rates that far exceed the century scale signal they seek to measure. the system as a whole almost certainly has a > 2 degrees C warming bias from bad siting near heat sources, increased urbanization, and a reduction in sampling sites in rural areas.

and just like covid, they did not even know it because they steadfastly refused to look.

How and why does this happen? Follow the money. Every time.

THAT is the power of the denizens of data definition and the talliers of tables.

in a society as beset by regulators, experts, and agencies as our own, it has come to constitute a form of commanding heights in the war over the perception of consensus reality.

and this has become deeply dangerous as the folks producing data are not honest brokers nor interested in truth. most are incentivized to push narratives and crisis because it’s good for business. it expands agencies, keeps the grant money flowing, and guarantees sweet sinecures “in industry” later. it does not need to be a conspiracy (though i’m sure some try). it’s just an emergent phenomenon based on the self-interest and self-selection of the cogs of this machine.

All deplore the ‘vitriol’ and ‘misogyny’ that Jacinda Ardern was subjected to.
All trying to portray Ms Ardern as some kind of ‘female victim’.
Sir Keith Holyoake once told me you had to have a thick skin if you were to survive in politics.
He often had his manhood questioned. Whether he had a spine. A whole lot more, too, He gave back as good as he got. Even among hairy-armed, muscular unionists with Pommy accents.
Mrs Holyoake – a genuinely kind woman – was never spared, either, by those on New Zealand’s left.
I was never a Jacinda fan. OK, I believed that she probably was kind. She was the Mormon cop’s daughter from Morrinsvile. She probably assimilated all that religious bullshit about ‘kindness’.
She was faultless in Christchurch after the massacre. Our horror and disbelief that this had happened in our little land was etched with hers on her face.
She had a baby while in the job – the women would love that and it seems they do.
She is lauded for White Island. Why? What did she do? She didn’t fly a helicopter into an erupting volcano to rescue people. Que?
She locked us down in 2020. Fine. I could do that. Over a month-six weeks I drank two bottles of black rum.
I tolerated the other lock-downs and I obeyed the rules and dictates. As a septuagenarian I was supposed to be in a higher-risk category.
I took the vaccine and the boosters: most of my family live overseas and if getting vaccinated was helping me to see my grandchildren then so be it.
I really started to go off Jacinda in her second term. Now she was not sounding sincere. Now she was not being ‘kind’.
A friend could not get home to meet his mother’s dying wish that she see him one last time.
She was obfuscaing and she was spinning in answers to questions she did not want to answer.
Now we started to hear about He Puapua and co-governance and Three Waters.
Our bought-and-paid-for media were not doing their journalistic job.
Why was it semi-retired pensioner-type, non-mainstream journalists such as Graham Adams who assumed the burden of digging into what was going on behind the scenes with this government?
Where was Jessica? Where was Tova? Where were Henry and Thomas and Jason and Aaron and Audrey – particularly Audrey because she’s been around so long and knows better – and Claire, too.
Why were our bought-and-paid-for media giving the government such a soft run.
Oh, OK: perhaps because they’ve been bought and paid for.
They deny it, of course, but like the Bible says, you know them by their fruit.
As I said before, I got vaxxed and boosted and obeyed all the rules and dictates.
But I was deeply unhappy when several hundred of my fellow citizens were vilified and smeared – and in some cases I would even say defamed – because they dared to go and take their protest to Parliament.
Many of these people are rock-solid New Zealanders. They’re the kind of people who probably grew up in circumstances Jacinda would recognise – her neighbours, her friends, men who would drop everything to help someone out, women who would whip up batches of scones, cook meals all the while multitasking in ways that men never quite can.
And yet Jacinda and our media smeared and vilified them and made them out to be more dangerous than they were.
I was surprised to hear and read reporters wittering on about how afraid the protestors made them feel.
Oh, for fuck’s sake!
Journalism can be dangerous. I’ve been chased by gangs and their rottweilers. The cameraman and I made the car just ahead of the enamel on the dogs’ fangs.
A bottle filled with petrol and with a rag in the neck was thrown at my bedroom.
But I was lucky that I wasn’t in Vietnam, Rhodesia, or Northern Ireland where journalists out reporting the action could be shot and killed.
The journalists at Parliament weren’t like the courageous colleagues who report from Kyiv, Kherson, Karkhiv. They can really get killed there.
And you can’t keep saying that they’re the victims of misinformation and disinformation – you belittle them when you do that. You sound like finger-wagging school marms. You take away from them any sort of intelligence.
Our self-righteous, sanctimonious, sin-inventing woke Left hated it when mostly decent, law-abiding New Zealanders rebelled against the dictates of Jacinda’s government.
And if they had things to say about that and about her that wasn’t ‘vitriol’ and ‘misogyny’ – that was them expressing their right to free speech.
And it was a lot less lethal than bombs and bullets.
Chris Trotter writes about Jacinda’s potential; she reminded him of Norman Kirk.
She did have the potential. But behind her toothy smile and her earnestness she became fake.
That’s not ‘vitriol’ nor ‘misogyny’.
That’s how she was.
She squandered all that potential.
And as Sir Keith Holyoake – one of our great prime ministers – would say: ‘You have to have a thick skin to be in politics.’

Do we have laws in NZ that protect us from corruption of our members of parliament and public service leaders? How comprehensive are they?

1. Are their earnings fully and publicly disclosed and accounted for?

2. Are all sources of income audited?

3. Where they gain income from acting in their official capacity does this have to be passed back to the employer ie the NZ people? eg Womans Weekly Articles, TV appearances etc

Yesterday this header on Newshub caused 850 comments ‘New Zealand scientists find kawakawa has dozens of positive health effects’. The finding was about spectrum analysis of the beneficial compounds not the medicinal uses.

Most popular comments were that:
1. scientists were not needed to discover what we (Maori and Pacifica) have known forever
2. Govn is going to steal our knowledge and stop us collecting our own medicines.

On the first, if they had read even the first paragraph they would see this was iwi engaged research with AUT.

On the second, how many will submit to the legislation currently open?

Paid a visit to the ‘Human Zoo’ last nite.
Went to dinner in the city with a couple of overseas friends, we left the restaurant about 10ish and took them for a drive up and down K’Rd a few times before dropping them back to their hotel.

Unbelievable to see the ‘dregs-of-humanity’ all congregating in one place. Needless to say, not a Cop in sight when we were there.

The are more than happy to engage in misogynistic slurs when it’s the likes of Judith Collins or Paula Bennett they are targeting. They just happen to be the wrong ‘kind’ of woman – so are considered fair game.

They are more than happy to circle the wagons when young interns are getting digitally raped by more senior staffers in their own Party, or attempt to evade prosecutions for the male when females are sexually abused at Labour Party Youth Camps.

They are more than happy to ‘heart’ rappers who audibly state they would like to rape a female simply out of revenge for happening to be the offspring of a politician they disagree with.

They are only concerned about ‘misogyny’ when it suits their own agenda – to use females as human shields so they can get to abuse anyone they choose with impunity.

We will soon find out if Hipkins has any chance of survival and will come down to priorities.
If he continues the path of virtual signalling climate change/green energy, funding Ukraine, Vaccination obsession, pro maori theft of public funds, forcing 3 waters, Treaty of Waitangi bastardisation, identity politics, deplatforming opinions, etc then he is doomed.
If he turns focus back to the basics of fixing NZ infrastructure, education issues, health availability, crime concerns, government transparency, business opportunity, return of tourism and agriculture, promotion of family and community then he may have a chance.

I suspect that proving that someone is inherently evil is problematic. However, it is possible, in my opinion, to prove that someone has said and done evil things.

I think when we look at the legacy of Cindy Ardern, what will always define her is desire to create “two classes of people”. Yip, yip, that’s exactly what it is. Creating two classes of people was Cindy Ardern’s categorical, unequivocal ideology. To me, it defines her world view and approach.

Adolf Hitler was apparently a charming man, who loved dogs, and was great with children. He was vegan and teetotal. Some argue that he wasn’t evil. I don’t agree with them.

Hitler’s ideology that there should be “two classes of people”. There was the German volk, and there was the Untermenschen (the sub-humans).

Cindy Ardern’s “two classes of people”, is straight out of the National Socialism playbook. This belief system is certainly evil, in my opinion.

In my view, Herr Hitler, with his characterisation of different classes of people (Untermensch versus the rest), was definitely evil.

Perhaps you could argue that that Cindy Ardern isn’t inherently evil. However, in my view, it is almost impossible to argue that the words and actions of Cindy Ardern weren’t evil.

The creating of “two classes of people” will be Cindy Ardern’s enduring legacy.

How can history not record her push for “two classes of people” as an evil ideology?

Hipkins wants to unite the country (according to some news report I heard). Is that an admission that the previous PM was not uniting the country? Is that some veiled promise that we’ll see the back of policies designed to divide the country?
Or by ‘unite’ does he mean the exact opposite, IOW pushing forward with splitting the country in two?
Politicians often mean the exact opposite of what they say, so I suspect he wants the division to continue.

But you’ll note, not one single mention of the numerous promises Ardern made and broke, the expectations she cynically raised to get votes but then smashed, the policies she pursued that had the opposite effect than was intended, the waste, the division, the explosion in homelessness, rent and house prices, the damnable crisis in education, the absolute proven bullshit she poured on us during Covid, the heaping upon businesses of more cost, burden and complexity and then attempting to blame Putin for the rising prices of staple goods and services, the sitting on hands while street crime exploded, the massive increase in our indebtedness through reckless borrowing and spending – nope, not a single mention of this stuff. Just hatred of women.

Suze Wilson must think we’re idiots.

I think Ardern, while she had her moments, was a terrible PM – she demonstrably failed the acid test of her time in office, that of New Zealanders being better off after her service.

It’s got absolutely nothing about her being a woman. Nothing.

For Wilson to be right, that would mean a future female NZ, who enabled/delivered widespread prosperity and achievement, who delivered on her promises and stayed the hell out of our lives would still be reviled and cursed by a misogynist NZ public.

If she believes that then she’s got rocks in her head.

  I had nothing but deep respect and admiration for the way she went about her business, her conviction, her policies and the, in my view, great positive effect she has on Great Britain.
  
  I’d I was ever to have a political leaders mug up on my wall it would be hers, after WSC of course.
  
  But according to the learned professor I must automatically hate and want to abuse Thatcher because she’s a woman doing a man’s job.

For some reason RNZ thinks mediocre music is more important that our being able to listen to the whole press conference. We listened to a whole lot of blah and spin (why are they always humbled?) and completely missed the Q and A.
What is wrong with our state broadcaster?

That will be about as successful as them backing Efeso Collins to be Auckland mayor !
Does Labour have some sort of inbuilt suicidal wish ?
Have they never heard of “reading the room”, “ play to your strengths”, “stupidity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results” ?
Don’t they realise that there are many voters in NZ who don’t live in Auckland?

My favourite politician over my lifetime is Mrs Thatcher.

Of course, Mrs T doesn’t count as a feminist icon to the Cindy lickspittle media, because she was a Conservative.

I also thought Judith Collins would make a great Prime Minister, but she was relentlessly bashed by the same Team of $55 million Cindy lickspittles who are now accusing CAKE et al of being misogynists.

Cindy Ardern was the most popular Prime Minister in our history, and has slowly become widely hated, due to her sustained cruelty and incompetence.

The alternative argument of the lickspittle media, is that the population has over the past year has suddenly en masse quite magically become misogynistic. This propaganda doesn’t even make any sense.

I knew that the Team of $55 million would run with the revisionist “stab in the back” misogyny conspiracy theory.

Cindy’s cruelty caught up with her. She is a fake, a phoney and a fraud. Her main legacy was to create “two classes of people” – a monstrous decision that will cast a shadow over society for decades.

Cindy probably has a cushy “job” lined up at the WEF or the UN. Good. Please go away, Cindy, and don’t come back.

    While I could believe it, what value would Cindy bring Blackrock? She no longer runs the country, so can’t do them favors, and her influence is waning and probably only lasts for a few more months. This assumes we will have an election in October and it is honest.
    Bankers, financiers and vulture capitalists aren’t very sentimental and unless she can make them money, she is of no use to them. She is not clever enough to provide value through her own skills and brains.

Joel Maxwell, the part-Maori Stuff reporter who seems to be an enthusiastic promoter of Maori separatism, was a late learner of the Maori language, but now foists it on all Stuff’ readers.

He has an additional enthusiasm, veganism, for which he seeks a Maori angle in Stuff.

Joel could research cannibalism in pre-Westernised Maori, and conclude what would happen if, as a young, brownish warrior, he refused a slice of roasted enemy.

That would have gone down well.

Perhaps he would have then been offered a semi-vegan alternative, a sacrificed slave, fattened on indigenous berries.

Imagine the response to Joel’s polite decline to that: “Again, no thanks, Bro, I’m vegan, vegan, vegan.”

American Airlines (the carrier brand, not the country) have experienced a 300% increase in long-term disability claims between January and July 2022. In other words, peak post-mRNA jab damage timing.

This would also explain why in October last yearthe FAA quietly revised new acceptable-to-them EKG manifestations to ‘allow’ more pilots to keep flying. Of course the question is, are these cardiac-damaged pilots safe to fly?

Then, and I swear I’m not making this up, apparently it’s a verified tweet-whatever: Bill Gates has stated that “vaccines in our food supply solves the problem of vaccine hesitancy”.

Well, Bill. I suppose by your standard, then drugging people whom you date, solves the problem of informed consent? Gah. Evil.

None.

Bit they have achieved nonetheless.

The notion that because Sepuloni is deputy-PM this will somehow result in great gains for Samoans, Pacific folks generally or the rest of New Zealanders is a sick joke.

They’re trying to fool NZers, yet again.

The Team of $55 million current propaganda is that Mr Hipkins is somehow a “Mr Fixit”.

Mr Hipkins was statistically the worst Minister of Education that New Zealand has ever had.

Mr Hipkins latterly presided over the Police Department. He didn’t fix crime, unless “fixing crime” means being embroiled in the worst crime wave in New Zealand’s history, and helplessly flapping.

What has Mr Hipkins fixed? Anything at all?

He did defame a few women, calling them prostitutes, during the Covid fiasco (did he ever apologise for that?). He sent Ms Bellis into the hands of the Taleban (he fixed her!).

I suppose the “Mr Fixit” moniker is on account of the fact that Mr Hipkins has been given a huge number of roles. The problem is, he performed all these roles abysmally, without exception. He fixed absolutely nothing…

I suppose the one moniker that Mr Hipkins is extremely unlikely to get is that of being “The worst Prime Minister in New Zealand’s history”. This achievement is almost certainly nailed on to continue to be held by Cindy, hopefully forever. Cindy is the GOAT (greatest of all times) in the useless Prime Minister stakes.

Mr Hipkins will need to content himself with his previous award, of being New Zealand’s worst ever Minister of Education, in our long history.

  I suspect the same people who gave the “Mr. Fixit” name to Hipkins are the same ones who defined Ardern as a “consummate Communicator”.
  ( probably Ardern herself ! I never thought of her as having exceptional communication skills, in fact rather the opposite. Her pronunciation is appalling, she never directly addresses the subject but waffles-on to deflect from the issue, and her facial expressions and hand-waving are very distracting ).

West Auckland’s Avondale Market is not far from Carmel Sepuloni’s Kelston electorate and was busier than ever on Sunday. And there’s no doubt the cost of living is the major concern here.

As a west Auckland MP, Sepuloni is expected to provide solutions to those problems and even more so now, that she’s been confirmed as our next Deputy Prime Minister.

Just experienced a flight from Akl-Wgn return this weekend on Air “Aotearoa”.
The whole experience was infuriating, from the pathetic flying waka safety video to the cabin crew turning themselves inside out to speak in Manglish, except of course important emergency instructions I am sure by international law they have to speak in English.
I am sure we all agree that greetings and farewells in a countries native tongue are readily accepted in international travel.
Problem is, New Zealand, as usual, has to lead the world in going completely over the top!
