    No, and I won’t because there are much better ways to get your point across.
    
    My suggestion is for Amnesty International to hold a women’s soccer match at a stadium, but have all the players in a full Burka, and each player attended by a male who has been tasked with telling the woman what to do.
    
    It would look ridiculous, and draw attention to the sort of rules Saudi women are forced to live under, and if they sold tickets, would be an interesting fundraiser.

Waitangi day and its attendant controversy is upon us once again. The Waitangi Tribunal has recommended that all Crown land in northland be returned to its former tribal owners. There is a call for massive compensation to Maori and that the Northern tribes didn’t sign over sovereignty?

One cannot imagine how NZ can continue in its correct form. We appear to be devolving into a tribal ethno state.

David Seymour is the only one speaking against this. For the first time in my life I’m seriously considering voting Act.

Can we please stop feeling so guilty about what happened in the 19th century? The truth is our ancestors treated the Maori folk beautifully. We should honour our ancestors and be grateful for the wonderful country they passed on to us.

  The Waitangi Tribunal is an example of cogovernance. Just look at its membership to see it is over represented by Maori. Effectively we have handed the children the keys to the Lolly shop. No surprises with what is happening with that strategy.
  
  Gifting bs rights to industrialised fishing, radio waves, television networks etc are all examples of the Waitangi Tribunal taking the piss and getting away with it.
  
  The trouble with trying to appease a child having a tantrum is you just reinforce that their strategy works resulting in bigger and more frequent tantrums.
  
  It is time for the Waitangi Tribunal to be ceased.

    Pineapple: the WT also decreed that Maori owned offshore oil and gas – not recoverable until technology advanced sufficiently in the 1970’s. That was of course before said oil and gas was denounced as an enemy of Gaia.

  Some did, others didn’t, whether judged by past or present standards.
  
  Just as claims that colonialism was a unique and unmitigated evil tend to destroy the claimants’ credibility, so too does the rose-tinted opposite narrative.
  
  Though I agree that current policies and politicised historical distortions will turn NZ into a failing ethno state, we should at least acknowledge historical wrongs and, if possible – which is not very much – rectify them without destroying ourselves in the process, while focusing on our common, non-racialised future.

    The truth is also that some Maori treated other Maori appallingly, brutally, and in many cases fatally. One of the major reasons they asked the Crown to intervene, rule over all New Zealanders and enforce the rule of law. Which they did.

  I have never felt “guilty” for one minute and I believe those who affect “guilt” are either virtue signalling or have a psychiatric disorder, or both. Colonisation brought the rule of law and new technologies. Yes, sh#t happened and where some people were unfairly treated we have tried to address that. Unfortunately these good intentions have been preyed upon and exploited by the unscrupulous who seek to undermine New Zealand’s future as a successful modern democracy.

Havent watched the TV news in years, its always awful and my evenings are much more relaxing for having avoided it.
Just read the article from Jenna Lynch and yes avoiding TV3 is still a great call. She couldnt possibly have reported a largely peaceful day with well received and worded speeches and explored that, oh no we get this utter crap:

  I noticed on that Homes in the Country (or whatever it was called) that TvOne was playing during the holidays at 7pm, that the young host keep referring to Aotearoa and not once said New Zealand
  
  I had to laugh when he was looking at homes for a retired English couple who had just moved here and he asked them what they thought of Aotearoa and what made them move to Aotearoa. They had a very confused look on their faces

    Southern: Constantly referring to “Aotearoa” is all part of a “boil the frog to death slowly” strategy: keep repeating it until it becomes the established norm, and anyone who refers to “New Zealand” is seen as an old fart, a racist, or a redneck – or all three.
    
    The only way to fight this is to call for a CIR on the name of the country – just as they did with the flag (Although that was a government referendum). After the flag referendum gave a decisive result – as would one on “Aotearoa” – it was a became a dead issue, and will be for 20 years.
    
    I have tried to persuade Don Brash and his “Hobson’s Choice” outfit to follow this course – pushing for a CIR on the name of the country – but dear old Don says they have “other priorities”.

      DG: One of ACT’s key policies, and I believe one of their baseline coalition demands, is a referendum on the name of New Zealand. Over the last 5 or 6 years I’ve become personally convinced that by far our best chance to rein in this woke BS and prevent New Zealand sliding (hurtling?) down the slope to becoming a banana republic ethno-state is to party vote ACT.

    This letter was sent to King William IV by 13 Māori chiefs from the Bay of Islands in 1831. Its main aim was to seek the king’s protection against the French, who had recently sent a naval vessel to New Zealand. The chiefs were also concerned about inter-tribal conflict and the misconduct of British subjects, and wanted the king to defend them against lawlessness so everyone could live peaceably together.

  It is appalling that Hipkins doesn’t know exactly what the three paras of the said treaty say – paraphrased if not word for word. The whole bloody thing is about 500 words.
  
  I always find it interesting that Sir Apirana Ngata – the guy on the $50 note – thought that Article III of the treaty was the most important, and the most valuable to Maori not Article II, which is all you ever hear about now.
  
  Professor Philip Joseph – the acknowledged pre-eminent expert on New Zealand constitutional law – has said “If the treaty was anything, it was a treaty of cession”

I have read the article but nowhere in it does the article’s scribbler state who these Councillors are and what they are objecting to.

Couple of concerning issues now developing that show NZ will never have a happy conclusion to Māori and Others relationships

Herald had an article this weekend about major concerns from Māori and Pakeha activists around the number of non Māori learning Te Reo. The concerns are based on if someone learns it then they may feel an ownership of the language which they can never have as they aren’t Māori.

Then is growing criticism of anyone (but especially politicians and senior officials) who can’t pronounce Te Reo correctly. This included Govt ministers laughing at Luxon, Seymour etc making speeches at Waitangi.

We also had OneNews interviewing Marama and some other female Labour MP on their views of Seymour’s speech and complaining you can’t criticise Māori in Te Reo but he was asked to speak in Te Reo.

So we have all official departments, towns, cities etc being converted to Te Reo. Claims we need more speakers to keep the language alive. Demands at certain events you can only speak Te Reo. But at the same time now saying Te Reo is only really for Māori.

It’s either an official language and should be treated neutrally as such or consigned to some pigeon dialect spoken by a few Māori elites.

  The vast majority of New Zealanders will never learn Maori. They already have a perfectly adequate language which suits their every-day needs.

Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta cancelled her reception and the speech she was going to give to dozens of diplomats who travelled north to Waitangi on Saturday. And now she is bundled off to India on Waitangi Day.

On Friday Mahuta was interviewed by Waatea News and was asked about international travel. Mahuta did not mention this trip to India in 3 days time. Also the Beehive only released the PR about the trip on 5 Feb for a next day departure…

Hmmm, I wonder what controversy is brewing that meant she had to be ‘dissappeared’ in such a hurry.

Driving yesterday between Featherston & Masterton yesterday – what a cluster that road has become! 80kmph on a perfectly good open road, overtaking lanes coned off, then reduced speeds due to non existent roadworks near Masterton which have been there for months with no progress.

That road all on its own should see the CEO of NZTA fired for incompetence.

Travelling on the new motorway heading south of Otaki, I saw a car coming the other way flash its lights. I looked out for a mobile speed camera, as you do. There are long straights, nothing in sight. Then I noticed a traffic officer, speed gun in hand, sited on top of one of the overbridges. About a mile down the road were several police cars including mid blue Skodas, BTW, pulling over vehicles pinged by their colleague.

For me, this smacks of entrapment. They build a perfectly good motorway, then restrict you to 100. AFAIK, no one has had a speed related accident causing death there. There are plenty of more dangerous roads than that. It’s police actions like this that cause them to lose credibility; they risk losing their social licence. Whatever happened to policing by consent?

  Driving 110 on an expressway shows just how stupid Waka Kotahi is. If we had that from Whangarei to Wellington you could not only sufficiently reduce emissions as engines would be running more efficiently, you would have close to road to zero on that 1,000 km of roading network.
  
  Instead they focus on reducing speed and not maintaining roads.
  
  I also agree with Greg Murphy that biggest issue is around driver behaviour. Had one person pull into an expressway doing about 70km/hr, one person speed up when I tried to change lanes, heaps of people changing lanes with no indication and some struggling to drive straight in a lane

  Mate, they lost credibility 30 years ago when the government of the day – National I think – decided to merge the “traffic cops” with the real police.
  
  Most if not all of them will be retired now, but that stupid decision meant that from 1992 a significant number of “police” were guys who had failed to get into the police, or just liked strutting about in knee high boots and jodphurs…and who enjoyed riding British motorcycles maintained at someone else’s expense.

  I have seen a hero cop on the section north of the Johnstone’s Hill tunnels in Auckland where the new Warkworth bypass is set to open, an area that is all coned off and reduced to one lane in each direction with a speed limit of 50km/h standing there with a speed gun trying to catch people doing >54km/h.
  
  I was almost tempted to thank him for his bravery and service keeping us all safe at a time where we have increasing gang violence (when the media just describes it as a group of people having a small fight on the main street), ram raids, and dairies being robbed every other day.

  In all likelihood this officer has just saved your life. Speed kills, didn’t you know? The faster you go, the bigger the mess. Now, if you were travelling 1 km/hr below posted limit you’d be perfectly safe and the said officer could spend his time investigating for example a burglary or hate speech. Better yet, if you were traveling on a bicycle you’d be even safer and it would contribute to your cardiovascular health, which in turn, would result in due course in a few more exciting years in the rest home.

On this Waitangi Day I call on the British Government to immediately begin preparations to install co-governance throughout the UK.

Native white Brits are to be regarded as ‘people of the land’ and are to be accorded all sorts of special rights and privileges including, but not limited to, an automatic 50% representation on all governance bodies, a separate whites-only health and education system, legal and criminal justice systems.

A key point to this is that Brit co-governance will not be a destination but rather a journey – allowing white Brits and their allies to keep making it up and changing the goalposts as they go along.

Anyone opposing this move will be roundly abused and labelled a filthy racist.

In return for supporting and encouraging this move, private and state news media organisations and companies will be lavished with taxpayer funds. Organisations opposing this move will be denied any funding.

Anyone wanting to develop anything, build anything or require any sort of resource consent will need to acquire a ‘cultural impact assessment’ from whitey first and for which they will charge a very pretty penny. No assessment, no consent. No consent, no development.

Non-whites and whites who do not whakapapa to the British Isles should accept their new position with good cheer recognising that the native Brits are indigenous, were there first, and therefore deserve superior rights and privileges than those that came recently.

What’s more I fully expect all New Zealanders who support co-governance in Aotearoa will to a person wholeheartedly champion this move, think it perfectly appropriate and will speak up at every opportunity to lend their weight to this cause. After all, if co-governance is right in NZ it must be right in the UK as well. Right?

I now call on Willie Jackson, Kelvin Davis, Marama Davidson, Waititi and Ngarewa-Packer, Margaret Mutu, Tuku Morgan, Christopher Hipkins, Nanaia Mahuta to use this Waitangi Day to speak out and call for co-governance for native Brits so that they can achieve better outcomes in their own land.

  If Maori want pakeha to leave NZ, then they should get in contact with the UK and try and persuade them to grant full citizenship to any pakeha New Zealander of any age so they can return their ancestral homelands to live and work. This should include full pensions, health-care, and benefits etc.
  
  Then they can use their TOW reparations to buy up Pakeha houses at full market prices, so NZ homeowners can use those funds to buy houses in the UK, which appear to be a bit cheaper than NZ houses are. The UK has its problems but maybe a large contingent of pakeha could make a difference politically.

There are now thoght to be more than 1,000,000 wallabies running free in New Zealand.
Over the next 50 years they could spread through a third of the country.
Wallaby exclusion zones have been put in place in an attempt to control the spread.
Two species, the dama in BOP/Waikato and Bennett’s in South Canterbury/North Otago, by 2025 could cost around $84 million in damage.
Kawau Island is also considered a wallaby problem area with parma, dama, brush-tailed and swamp wallabies present.

We have so many, we had to send some parma wallabies back to Australia when they were getting scarce there.

01 Jan 2022: Two gang members arrested for possession of around a kilogram of meth.
A similar amount was found less than 4 months earlier.
01 Oct 2022: Otago Daily Times:
The Eastern District, spanning from top of the East Cape to Southern Hawke’s Bay, stands out for Armed Offenders Quad callouts in 2022.
There were 232, more than double most other areas.
In May alone there wer more than 86 deployments, of which 83 were pre-planned.
June also had more than one a day.

I remember when

Went for a drive along one of the newly designated 80 kph roads.
As I drove along a largely straight, well marked, scarcely populated rural road I thought about how only a short time ago it was safe to drive at 100 kph.
What I found myself wondering has happened, in such a short time, that made the change necessary.
No signs reminding me to look twice for motorcyclists, that 80 kph isn’t a target, that it is a high accident area, to have a rest if I’m tired.

  Close previously healthy young family member got myocarditis after jab here in NZ; and local hospital (who gave the jab), plus MOH, plus ACC, plus the bosses of Ministry of Health both political and clinical — all declined to accept cause-and-effect from their mandated injection. This despite patient having heart rates over 250 on (Holter) monitoring, and 3 separate hospital admissions for recalcitrant tachycardia up to 300/min at one stage, in a previously well, athletic young person in their 3rd decade of life.
  
  We’re not looking for payouts, and we were fortunate to be able to pay for cardiologist eval in Australia. But even after being presented with that confirmation from 2 Australian specialists, NZ ACC says “needs to be verified by NZ practitioner back in NZ, who we will nominate.” Of course, if there is no acceptance of the damage done, there will never be any payout. Quite a neat avoidance of both clinical and financial responsibility and accountability, for narrow values of ‘neat’.

And now we know why. Chris Hipkins is speaking at the massive 20,000 people attending free all day concert in west Auckland at the marae. Willie Jackson, Phil Twyford John tamihere , Carmel Seoul o I and Chris Hipkins are on stage and the stage backdrop is a massive picture of the Maori party leader.

Was labour trying to distance themselves from treaty and cogovernance issues at Waitangi and instead link themselves to a free concert for Aucklanders featuring Stan walker. Much more positive vibes.. but I think that an why they weren’t at waitangi
