Government hints at more help for Medical Students amid shortage.
Funding is on the way to train more Medical Students and additional support for trainee may be on the way as New Zealand grapples with work force shortages in the Health System.
You would have thought that this would have been addressed by this Labour Government who have spent billions ripping our Health System in two to give Maori their own Health system these shortages were always going to happen.
But after nearly 6 years in Government they were more interested in creating Racial tension and dividing hard working New Zealander’s.

  Both the Otago Medical School and Auckland’s School of Medicine had made offers to train more students. The Government had not taken up the offer.
  
  Instead of wasting money on massive advertising campaigns and creating a megabureaucracy around Health, Our Government could have funded the Med schools and Nursing programmes to train more doctors and nurses.

    Had experience over last week of our health system. Checked with several large private A&E providers and they all had queues of more than 3 hours. At least one for a large period of time only had one nurse and one doctor on duty as they can’t get enough staff.
    
    Imagine turning up with a very sick baby and having to wait 4 to 5 hours or risk 12 hours at public hospital.
    
    Labour are so broken as they can’t understand the issues in primary care (need to wait a week to see your GP) force people to get sick to then go to private A&E which can’t cope so it feeds into and overloads public hospitals

      If the baby is very sick the triage nurse would usually push them through quicker. I was at the hospital A&E two weeks ago, pushed straight through

        Agreed. No matter how broken the system appears, there are great people working at the front line. They routinely prioritise babies for rapid treatment. This has been my experience with grandchildren on 100% of the occasions they’ve needed A&E.

      Wait a week for the GP? I had to wait a month for mine for my 6 montly checkup as part of renewing my pills. If I was really sick, it would have been resolved one way or another before then.

      I don’t think there is any point. I know one nurse who gave up waiting for that and moved to Ireland to work. Also talking to the nurses in ED a two weeks ago I asked if many are leaving, yes. And they told me if they were paid a decent wage they would stay but they’ve lost several in the past few weeks.

        A lot of that pressure would be due to the loss of so many colleagues. The law of unintended but entirely predictable consequences strikes again.
        
        Probably true that to reverse that disgusting policy wouldn’t make a huge difference, but it would certainly be the morally correct thing to do. As you say, many wouldn’t go back now anyway.

        A year ago I was in the hospital. There I met a very senior nurse who was looking at giving up nursing entirely and considering a job on a factory floor instead. She had been working in one of the specialised wards for over 10 years. She said they’d had 50% turnover in a year.
        
        Even the porter guy that rolled me down to the operating theatre said he was leaving for Oz at the end of the month.

        Clan a lot of the pressure is, indeed, due to loss of colleagues – especially the senior colleagues.
        But there are a lot of other pressures too.
        
        For example they have cut support staff. This has caused at least two other problems:
        * the hospital does not flow efficiently. For example I had to wait over 3 hours in all waiting just for a porter to roll me down to the operating theatre and back.
        * staff end up doing tasks way below their training level. Instead of nurse aides making beds, the already overworked nurses have to do the jobs instead.

        cmm – and how many people take advantage of the compulsory, consequence free, 7 days holiday available when they get a sniffle and test positive with a totally unreliable RAT?
        
        I just witnessed it, a friend who is a teacher aid at a primary school had a head cold, took a couple of days off while he presumed he was probably able to spread the bot. (Which he picked up from the kids)
        He was ready to start back to school mid week. As he pointed out, 5 years ago he would have gotten a hard time for even taking a couple of days of and would have been accused of having “man flu”.
        
        He realised he would be losing sick leave days, I told him to take a RAT test just to check, even though they are less than 50% accurate. He went to school, went to the principal, got a test, tested positive, got the rest of the week off work to watch Netflx and drink coffee even though he felt totally fine. What a perverse incentive that was used to help sell a narrative by giving totally inaccurate numbers.
        
        He might have had covid, he might not. So might everyone else at the school. Thing is, nobody was actually sick, nobody was dying, some people will just play the system and why not. Why be punished for trying to do the right thing?
        
        This is what the Labour government are all about and they repeat this with their welfare payments. People who want to work are often better off on a benefit. Those who work are often punished. It’s a perverse system that buys votes for a corrupt government.

    National and or Act would do well to try to calculate how much this government has spent non-productively and get it on some bill boards. Could start with the 1.9 billion on mental health that nobody seems to know what happened to and the only tangible difference is a lowering of the number of beds available. 57 million on a cycle bridge that never happened is another that comes to mind. How many Dr and nurses could have been trained for just those two? Tot it all up and expose how much that waste is to each household in the land regardless of ethnicity. Do something! The media won’t help you and few people engage with the legacy media anyway.

    Otago University used to be a University where merit and excellence meant everything. Not so much anymore. So even though they want to train more students, they won’t all be there on merit, and nor will they all have achieved the excellence that used to be required to move on from pre-med. And the University will of course get more money, so there is an ulterior motive in increasing numbers of students.

  Perhaps if the Uni’s trained the best, rather than than the rest, we would be in a better position.
  The drop out rate from the Special Entry pathways is double that of General Entry.
  Perhaps it has something to do with the mid-70 pass rate required for Special Entry, rather than the mid-90 pass rate required for General Entry?

        I wouldn’t worry too much, the top orthopaedic surgeon in our hospital is South African, two other orthopaedic surgeons from South Africa and one from the Middle East. We can get great surgeons and let the NZ trained ones go to Australia 😜

Legally, a Maori is a person of Maori descent who identifies as Maori. So, from now on when speaking of a Maori I’m going to refer to him/ her as a person identifying as Maori. Seems more in tune with the zeitgeist, wouldn’t you say?

Which brings me to another point: the statement of genealogy that accompanies the naming of any Maori person. I don’t have a problem with that, except that in most cases it’s partial, i.e. it excludes non Maori antecedents.

Take Rawiri Waititi, for example. Googling tells me that he’s at least 1/8 English.

‘Rawiri’s paternal grandmother was Dorothy Tihore (the daughter of Matehaere Patihana Tihore and Alice Ann Gill). Alice emigrated from Kettlewell, in England, to New Zealand in 1909, and was the daughter of Henry Gill and Ann’.

But you won’t find that in his ancestry statement on the Maori Party website.

‘I am a mokopuna of the Waiariki iwi through my Te Whānau a Apanui, Ngai Tai, Te Whakatohea, Ngai Tuhoe, Ngati Awa, Te Arawa, Ngati Tūwharetoa, Ngai Te Rangi and Ngati Ranginui ancestry’.

What does that say about his respect for his great grandmother? To me, it reads that he’s embarrassed by her being English, perhaps even ashamed to have non Maori forbears.

Personally, I have more respect for those Maori who include their non Maori antecedents in their whakapapa statement. It’s just more honest.

  A heck of a lot of folks with Maori ancestry don’t know their whakapapa.
  
  If a dad/mum did a runner when a babe was young (or in utero), and the parents hadn’t told each other of their ancestry, then the child will grow up not knowing much.

    What about all the Maori who change the name their parents gave them because claiming a Maori name makes they think it will give them some sort of status . What an insult to their parents who chose their name. I’m looking at you Tipene O’Regan, born Stephen, Hekia Parata born Pauline Wayman married Wira Gardiner, Rawiri Paratene (actor) born Peter David Broughton. etc etc etc. I could go on

    Correct Anan. And of course, Norway is used as one of the Scandinavian “success” stories by the left for promotion of socialism. Chloe Swarbrick gave Scandinavian socialism a big push not long ago. What they don’t realise, is that the socialism of the 1970’s to 90’s failed abysmally, mainly because the norms of social responsibility and hard work collapsed. Even the social democrats have been toughening up on welfare payments and reducing their generosity. So Norway socialist? More centrist these days.

I’m a bit late to the coronation analysis party. Busy weekend. So mrs kk happened across a live stream of the coronation. I wasn’t particularly interested and, critically, the cat was demanding to be fed, so I only watched a tiny segment. It showed the ecumenical multi-faith leaders being led in as the honoured took their seats.

Now in these things, ranking is everything. A flourish at the front of a group is worth a hundred hunkerings down at the back.

Our King, the head of the Protestant church (which came into existence so Charlie’s forefather could shag who he chose) made very sure the Sunni and Shia muslims were honoured with top billing. Then came the Buddhists, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Baháʼí, and finally the various branches of Christianity.

Hatchets are supposed to be buried, but on coronation day one hatchet was not buried, but rather placed in a brightly lit, museum-quality display case: At the very end of the ecumenical procession, and long after the camera operator had no doubt begun yearning to scan the crowd for someone famous picking their nose, hurrying along as an apparent afterthought was the representative of the Catholic church. This chap, for all his faults represent some 5,000,000 UK people where, by comparison, a full muster of UK Zoroastrian’s barely fills a bingo hall.

If Charlie doesn’t collapse under the weight of the conflict diamonds in his blingy new headpiece, he sure will under the weight of his gereatrtic virtue signaling.

  Nonsense. Cardinal Nichols was an integral part of the coronation service. This marked the first time a Catholic Cardinal attended a coronation and was part of the formalities. It has been seen as a turning point in Anglican/ Catholic relations. He was no afterthought at all, tacked on at the end. Don’t write untruths.

      The Cardinal did not ‘hurry in’. He was part of the formal entrance into the Abbey at the beginning, prior to the entrance of the Queen and King. If you stopped watching at the point of his entry then you saw nothing of the Coronation whatsoever and are in no position to be making comments! As I said earlier, you are writing nonsense.

  Not sure what your point is. Did you actually watch the event?
  According to the Catholic Church England/Wales website, at least five high level bishops, a representative from the Pope and Cardinal Vincent Nichols attended the King’s Coronation.
  Cardinal Nichols had a prominent part to play in the ceremony – I saw him.
  Also noted on the website mentioned above:
  “Seventy years ago, it would not have been permitted for any Catholic to enter a Protestant church, let alone to take part in a Coronation service.”

  I didn’t think the Sunni and Shia muslim representatives were at the front of the group of inter-faith representatives actually. From the commentary it seemed they were in the middle of the group, which would make sense if they entered alphabetically – Bahai and Buddha would come before Muslim and Roman Catholic would be towards the end.

The Reparation committee in California has voted to approve a claim that all black people in the state should be paid reparation which could total $800 Billion

The payments are based on time spend in California eg how long you were “discriminated” against and for a 71 year old black person would equate to $1.2M

California is already close to being bankrupt so not sure where $800 B is coming from

We had a fabulous weekend at the LNI National Party regional conference in Napier at the weekend. The highlight was Napier Mayor Kirsten Wise’s opening speech where she described the horror of what Napier went through in February.

Another highlight was the panel discussion between National’s Cyclone Recovery spokesman Chris Penk, and HB candidates Katie Nimon and Catherine Wedd. The candidates are dealing with dozens of requests every day, and National has set up a hotline at Parliament for cyclone victims to try and have things happen for them; they’re getting very little out of the government. The biggest complaint is that decisions are being delayed and delayed, where people just want some certainty as to whether or not they can rebuild, and there’s no sense of urgency from the government.

The other takeaway is the exceptional standard of the candidates in LNI electorates (Napier and Whanganui down to Wellington). If other regions have a similar level of talent, the incoming National caucus is going to be exceedingly strong.

    It’s very much a government problem. Ministerial visits have become few and far between, and getting answers from either MP’s offices or from government agencies is taking forever. People who had two months worth of relief from their insurance companies are having that run out, but can’t get any indication from anyone when decisions will be made on whether or not they can rebuild. That’s causing all sorts of problems including a spike in mental health concerns.
    
    Catherine Wedd and Katie Nimon are doing a stellar job trying to get answers, but they’re often running into brick walls. That’s why National has set up a hotline into Parliament, so that MP’s can do their best to get answers for Napier and Tukituki constituents, despite both electorates having Labour MP’s.

  I flew down to Christchurch a few weeks ago with a man who works for Spark. Apparently the government told them they had to present a business case to the minister for them helicoptering in 4 generators to keep the cell sites operational.
  This should have been a no brainer but I think speaks to the disfunction in this government and the fact the minister feels they have to micromanage everything.

  Good to hear, i thought Katie did exceptionally well last election cutting Nash’s margin considerably, in an election controlled by the covid bug, she was the only candidate to cut the margin of a sitting mp, and one of Labours better ministers.
  
  As for candidates, virtually all candidates have been shown to be extremely talented, the lady standing against Hipkins is a prime example, let’s hope she is high enough on the list to make parliament even if she cant beat Hipkins.

How can an MP who was appointed to Parliament from the Party List, by the Party, resign from the said Party and retain her seat in Parliament. I would have thought that resignation from the Party was also resignation from Parliament.
Should the Speaker of the House be enforcing that resignation?

    This issue was debated at length here last week. The Speaker has refused to release the letter of resignation from Kerekere. So we cannot know whether the law has been circumvented.
    
    As I suggested last week, there was only one right course of action:
    
    – Speaker seeks legal advice from Crown Law Office on the implications of the resignation letter.
    
    – Speaker makes decision to allow Kerekere to stay in Parliament or expel her.
    
    – Speaker announces decision. Releases legal advice and the resignation letter from Kerekere.
    
    In a functioning democracy such a course would have seemed pretty obvious.

      This one, Kerekere, is a Green list MP. The confusion is there seems to be no discussion around removal from Parliament at all. I am assuming that the Waka jumping law only comes into play when you switch parties.

        In the case of Kerekere, isn’t the issue straightforward? If the Green co-leaders wrote to the Speaker invoking the waka jumping provision, she would be gone from Parliament. The Green leaders announced that they would not do so. As far as the law goes, isn’t that the end of the matter? She can stay in Parliament.

        But RoboRob it would seem logical that if a list MP who only gets into Parliament because a) is placed within the number of seats gained by the party vote and b) would no longer be entitled to stay in the house in any capacity when/if they resign from the party that got them there. Surely they can not just assume to be an independent or even align with another party. Normally the loss of a sitting list member is replaced by the next eligible person thereby maintaing proportionality. Is there a legal mind who might clarify this point for us?

  I would have thought a standard part of mmp would have been that list mps must leave parliament if they leave their party. After all they are there solely through selection of the party and to ensure the party is proportionally represented.

    I think the implied logic is that the waka jumping law is in place for the sole benefit of the party whose MP has resigned or whatever, and it is entirely at their discretion whether the law is applied or not.
    A reasonable position, but probably contrary to the law as it was actually written at least in respect of the Whaiteri letter.

    No. But it needs to be triggered by the MP writing to the speaker or the leader of the Party writing to the speaker. In the case of Kerekere, neither of those things hapopened.

    It was fun to read Parliament debating with The Speaker whether to release Meka’s resignation note. Robertson and Parker had to keep interjecting to help him out. The Speaker sounded out of his depth, and kept repeating the mantra of ‘confidentiality’…. so the Opposition switched to asking him about the official advice he had been given.
    
    Then he kept misinterpreting the request to release THAT advice, as a request to release the original resignation note. So he kept giving the same answer even as the question changed. LOL
    
    Why would the simple courtesy of notifying him of an action — one that soon became publicly obvious — require confidentiality? Or are we supposed to believe it was full of ‘soul bearing’ stuff?

      If we are to have a meaningful and truthful Commission of Inquiry into the Govt’s handling of Covid 19 (and its derivatives), they will most certainly destroy evidence that could prove negligence and/or corrupt practice by the Labour Party and its Ministers.
      My reason for stating this is because Hipkins was the Minister for things Covid and he was definitely party to all Govt Edicts and Covid-related processes and they won’t permit his being hung out to dry as a result of Commission findings.

For those disinformation wallahs who chuck the word genocide around with gay abandon, could I suggest they read East West Street – On the origins of Genocide and Crimes against Humanity by Phillipe Sands. It’s a stunner of a book and sets out what genocide really is. It’s also a good personal history as well.

I have been to Dachau twice. the second time was with a tour group and I couldn’t go in again. It is very profound to go and see what humanity can do.

      That’s not an argument that holds any water. If “they had it coming” is used as a justification for anything, then anything is permissible. It’s a wholly subjective claim.
      
      I made this same point the other day. The Allies thought the German civilians of Dresden and many other like-places “had it coming” did they? Well, the Nazis thought the Jews had it coming too. So if “they had it coming” is a legitimate excuse, then that absolves the Nazis. But the objection may be, “yeah, but the Germans really had it coming.” Well, says who? Maybe the Germans though the Jews really had it coming too. Pretty soon, we are in a spiral of moral relativism from which there is no exit. That’s why there must be some objective criteria for what is and what isn’t permissible.
      
      So this is why “they had it coming” is such a shit argument, no matter who uses it, and it negates any claimed moral high ground. Morality was the putative driving force of the Allies, so when all sides are acting immorally, the truth becomes clear – war is always about conflicting interests and power dynamics, dressed up in a moral veneer. Each side tells itself that it is right.
      
      The safest and most logically consistent thing to do is say look, the Nazis committed war crimes, but so too did the Allies. We can’t have this comic book conception of “we are the good guys, and they are the bad guys” because that is not how the world works. Don’t you find it odd that “we” are invariably the good guys, and someone else isn’t? That’s just propaganda.
      
      In all wars, all sides commit inhumane heinous acts in the fog of war, and it is really only one’s particular perspective that determines the value of these acts. That is the unvarnished truth.

      My great aunt copped a V1 in London. He was sheltering under the stairs with her husband and that saved their lives.
      It is all very well to sit in an armchair and argue that the Brits should not have done this or that when Hitler had no compunction about bombing Britain to pieces.         Britain, and France, declared war on Germany, Peter, not the other way around. Why? “Because they invaded Poland”? Well, the Soviets invaded Poland at the same time as Germany did, so it follows that the invasion of Poland in itself wasn’t the reason (otherwise they would have declared war on the USSR, too). As I’ve argued here recently, the Allies wanted war with Germany, because France and Britain had then (and always have had) a clear self-interest in keeping Germany relatively weak or even with them. This is all basic stuff, stripped of all the rhetoric and outward layers of justification.
        
        Clearly, Germany played its own part. But to believe that the Allies were just passive actors and only responded to Germany (which is the contemporary assumption) is simply historically inaccurate. This was as false of WW1 as it was of WW2.       It’s thought that due to the lack of smoke normally associated with white phosphorous, the Russians are using magnesium thermite.
      Use of white phosphorous and other incendiaries which are clearly horrific weapons, isn’t banned. Other than in areas with concentrations of civilians.
      The US and Israeli used white phosphorous in civilian areas, the Russians are using thermite in areas not populated with civilians. Presumably to save them having to go street by street doing hand to hand fighting which would mean heavier losses of personnel.
      
      Apparently this is the “rules”.
      
      International humanitarian law stipulates that white phosphorus munitions should only be used in areas devoid of civilians. Even using it against enemy combatants has raised concerns, given that the munitions can cause horrific injuries.
      
      Billy Connolly summed up the irony of the argument around “bad weapons” in his inimitable manner when he said:

One Labour fear seems to have been that the Maori Caucus could assert pressure on Jacinda to allow a Maori agenda, under their threat of some mass desertion or disruption – which may be a reason Ardern bailed – but Whaitiri’s successful waka-jump to the Maori Party now shows that desertion is possible.
Maori Party President Tamahere welcomes such moves and Hipkins not only has to now work with Ardern’s fear of disertion but also Whaitiri’s evidence it can be done, and list members too, as long as they themselves do not tell the Speaker in writing that they have resigned from the Party they were elected on, and the Leader of the Party does not do that either – and in Hipkins case he may not for fear of a further exodus.

Very good article in the Herald by Mike Hosking about the coronation, I thought.
Personally, rather than attend in person I recorded the event and watched the next day. I thought the two parades with the carriages were fantastic, but the actual coronation was rather tedious.
Camilla is no Diana, which would have suited Charles. It wouldn’t take much to upstage him, King or not.

    I’ve never been to North Korea, but we were in Bangkok when the previous and much loved king died. We had to rush out and buy yellow shirts to wear for a month. I read about people being chased in the street by hard core royalists if they wore another colour.

  There is only one solution. Lock them all up in a facility with military level discipline. Let them out again if a multi-disciplinary assessment team determines that they have actually changed. If that takes five years it takes five years.

You have to wonder why it takes so long to track down overstayers and how so few ever get deported. The guy they scooped up the other morning has got a temporary visa and is on the fast track to residence.   – they do not want to be identified.
  Which is why the Census again is so low and will be moderated, amongst many other things, to appear to have many more Maori than ther actually are.

Why is there so much support for the idea of a Republic.
What are the advantages (apart from an imaginary separation from the UK) of becoming a Republic.
A President who will be a political appointment.
Extra costs of elections and probably a higher stipend than Governor General.
An ability to remove our freedoms which the Monarchy don’t have.
More risk of corruption and power to the elite.

Are elements of growing percentage of elderly in the population a sign of the ‘iceberg’ creeping up on social services.
In the last week I have heard of several cases where elderly people have become members of the ‘circumstances unknown’ society.
People whose death might not be noticed for a considerable period of time.
One of them has a story that could be a major article in the newspaper, as it highlights so many problem areas, but they remain hidden from the mainstream.
Self isolation, growing age and sudden lost of health, hospitalisation and their exit procedures, social services and social services at the weekend, ability to be safe at home when older.

Re the ‘normal’ flu jabs, I know a number of people on here get them regularly. I was thinking about getting my first one the year just before covid started for that coming winter. As events transpired I decided against it. I am convinced now that it was the right decision and I won’t be getting one any time soon.

Here’s a link to a letter that RFK wrote to CNN’s resident medical expert Dr Sanjay Gupta on the topic which has firmly cemented this decision.
It was actually published in 2020.

He highlights the disinformation we have been bombarded with regarding the flu vaccine. Sounds very similar to the disinformation regarding the covid vaccine.

2. CNN assertion: CNN routinely promotes the flu shot for everyone older than 6 months, proclaiming that the best way to protect against serious cases of the ailment “is to get a flu shot”.

Fact: In reality, there is absolutely no scientific basis for the CDC’s assertion that the influenza vaccine is the most effective way to prevent the flu.

The Cochrane Collaboration’s comprehensive 2010 meta-analysis of published influenza vaccine studies found that the influenza vaccination has “no effect” on hospitalization, and that there is “no evidence that vaccines prevent viral transmission or complications.”

The Cochrane Researchers concluded in 2010 that the scientific evidence “seem[s] to discourage the utilization of vaccination against influenza in healthy adults as a routine public health measure.”

Four years later, Cochrane published a follow-up meta-review including dozens of more recent scientific studies and again concluded bluntly that the body of scientific data provides “no evidence for the utilization of vaccination against influenza in healthy adults as a routine public health measure.”

Even more worrisome, a study from January 18, 2018, in the Journal of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, PNAS, found that influenza vaccination actually increased transmission of the virus, with vaccinated individuals shedding more than six times as much aerosolized virus in their breath than unvaccinated individuals.

Read the full letter, some quite astonishing information in it. Feel free to debunk any of it but please provide evidence to support if you do.

Looks like the pharma industrial complex has been playing us for years. I’ll do a follow up post to this explaining why we need to be very, very concerned about the current moves to make the WHO the boss of health responses worldwide.

I won’t be complying with anything that comes out of that orifice of corruption.

Why it’s hard to acknowledge reality.

Our society in the West is built on trust and a feeling of superiority – we built the institutions that run the world and they, and we, are good. We consider ourselves humanitarians, the public health advocates, the unifiers, and anti-fascist freedom-lovers. We consider our system is better than the alternatives – we are ‘progressive’.

It takes quite a step for comfortable, middle-income, Left-leaning professionals to believe that the institutions and philanthropic organisations we have admired all our lives might now be pillaging us. Our society relies on having ‘trusted sources’, the WHO being one of them. Among others are our major media organisations. If our trusted sources told us we were being misled and pillaged, we would accept this. But they are telling us these claims are false, and that all is well. The WHO’s Director General himself assures us of this. Anyone who thinks rich corporate and private sponsors of WHO and other health institutions are self-interested, that they might mislead and exploit others for their own benefit, is a conspiracy theorist.

There are no conspiracies left, they’ve all come true so far.

We are all capable of believing the rich and powerful of past ages would exploit the masses, but somehow this is hard to believe in the present. For proof of their benevolence, we rely on the word of their own publicity departments and the media they support. Somehow, malfeasance on a grand scale is always a figment of history, and now we are smarter and enlightened.

It is exceedingly difficult coming to terms with the fact that you’ve been lied to by people you trusted. Disbelief is not uncommon.

Over recent decades we have watched individuals accumulate wealth equivalent to medium-sized countries. They meet our elected leaders behind closed doors at Davos. We then applaud the largesse they bestow on the less fortunate, and pretend all this is fine. We watch as corporations expand across national borders, seemingly above the laws that apply to ordinary citizens. We allowed their ‘public-private partnerships’ to turn international institutions into purveyors of their commodities. We ignored this descent because their publicity departments told us to, becoming apologists for obvious authoritarians because we want to believe they are somehow doing a ‘greater good’.

We are gaslit and lied to on a daily basis, by politicians and the media who support this. A media who are meant to be the ones holding truth to power but have long ago abdicated their responsibility and instead happily take 30 pieces of silver (taxpayer funded) to shill for liars and frauds.

Whilst a schoolchild might see through this facade to the conflicted greed beyond, it is much harder for those with years of political baggage, a peer network, reputation and career to admit they have been duped. The behavioural psychologists that our governments and institutions now employ understand this. Their job is to keep us believing the trusted sources they sponsor. Our challenge is to put reality above right-think.

Who ever in their right mind thought they would see the day when our elected representatives (who we pay) are using psychological manipulation to get us to behave in a certain way? Is it any wonder we have lost so much trust?

Always remember this:

In its 2019 pandemic influenza recommendations, WHO stated that “not in any circumstances” should contact tracing, border closures, entry or exit screening or quarantine of exposed individuals be undertaken in an established pandemic. It wrote this because such measures would cause more harm than good, and disproportionately harm poorer people. In 2020, in conjunction with private and national sponsors, it supported the largest wealth shift in history from low to high income by promoting these same measures.

The WHO, like the UN has become a very dangerous organisation. They are threats to everyone on the planet. No conspiracy.

Clearly the softly, softly approach is not working with three different stories in the papers today (and likely a hundred unreported incidents):
* Dunedin Cops are “disappointed” after being abused and buggered around by kids.

* Just down the road from me, a 13 year old + accomplices were finally stopped after an 800km journey of mayhem to Nelson and back.

* Teachers in Northland being treated like criminals for restraining dangerous and disruptive kids.

It is all very well to blame the parents, but the parents are getting no support from the system either. Two of the kids on our street are pushing the boundaries and are getting no feedback.

The parents are concerned. The parents wanted to correct the behaviour. But there is bugger all they can do and there is bugger all the system is doing either. All they can wait for is, eventually, for the kids to do something serious enough that they land up in prison and hope that gives them enough “feedback”.

Throw the book at the scrotes. There are no pulishments/consequences for any of this – just bragging rights on Tiktok.

If the Dunedin kids were, instead arrested for interfering with the police and were given a caning then they’d think twice about it. But for now there’s just “bad boy/girl” points to score.

  The thing is that often these teachers are stepping in to secure the safety of other children (ie. the real victims).
  
  With all that paperwork and need to review policies, I expect a whole lot of teachers are just going to turn a blind eye to bullying etc. Just far too much hassle to get involved.

Herald today have finally got the trannysrcipt of the ‘Allen Outburst’ at the RNZ farewell in a huff party for Dunlop.

It appears she is insinuating that RNZ are just plain racist cos they dont ‘nuture’ their maori ‘talent’……

Maybe Mani Dunlop didn’t get the morning job becasue they thought someone else would be more relatable to the audience and thus have a better listener rating…..

Anyway it seems it those racists again at work.
