Using dead people

October 28th, 2004 at 9:12 am by David Farrar

Jim Sutton is complaining that Federated Farmers is “using a dead man to promote political cause”.

Considering the long history, under FPP, of dead people voting for Labour, it only seems fair to me that they can help out Federated Farmers also!

It doesn’t seem that bad to me. In fact what Federated Farmers are saying makes a lot of sense.
On always wants to tread carefuly when talking about the recently deceased. But if I were to be killed by, say, protesting wharfies, I would want the National Party to use my death to their advantage.
But then I suppose I could be categorised by a cynic as a party hack…

Michael, quite right. One should not speak ill of the dead, particularly those corpses which still breathe, like Mr Tamihere.

And I thought getting a Visa card once you were dead was hard, now the undead are in the polling booth as well.
How foolish of them to only vote for labour, its a wonder Rodney doesnt get them to set up tax avoidance schemes, after all the IRD cant claw back depreciation once you are dead

Heh this proves my point, Ross Robertson is so low profile, that no-one even knows he is an MP.

In fact it is very amusing that my having mentioned him low profile once, makes me the second highest Google hit for him!

The Doofus of the week is nationals John Carter of Northland. he went into battle over the Chair of the DHB working for a Maori health organisation which was funded by the DHB.

Trouble was, apart from he is a total idiot, the Maori organisation is funded by the Health Ministry.

Time for John to get a software upgrade for his Brain

The Crown health enterprises as they were called under national had some doozies as Chairman.
One meeting I went to, the Chairman seemed to be in the final stages of emphysemia, just the qualification you need, then there was the guy who was chairman in wellington and waikato where libel laws mean not much can be said while he is still alive
