Radio Ratings
November 25th, 2004 at 10:04 am by David FarrarPaul Holmes may be off TV, but he is increasing his radio ratings. I am not surprised as I have always thought Holmes is far better on radio.
Radio Pacific has spent a huge amount of money promoting Michael Laws’ talkback show, and they must be devastated that his ratings have halfed to 2.3% – a rating around one sixth of the guy he promised to beat – Leighton Smith.

Yes the cheeky whitey certainly does have a face for radio.

Devlin off Radio Sport may account for some swing listeners between genre. The good goss is that Devlin will be hosting the Radio Pacific breakfast show when his restraint of trade runs out – so I expect Laws will be gone burger.
I think Laws’ problem is that he just isn’t funny enough to be that much of an asshole and get away with it.

Holmes ratings will drop back ( next year) , the US/Australian elections in the last ratings cycle would have boosted the news stations.

Yesterday I suffered a severe bout of diarrhoea and you knwow, all I could think of was ztev!!! Amazing. ztev to you not think that just somehow a general election in NZ might compensate? Do you not think Mr Holmes himself might do a few clever thiings to enhance his ratings? He is a man of some intelligence and wealth so, unlike many of his vocal detractors, he is not just going to sit around on his arse bleating on blogs.
Vote:Frankly, I can’t stand his TV show but that’s a different matter.

DPF, where do you stand on the Fallujah-like blog-war between Aaron Bhatnagar (http://bhatnagar.blogspot.com) and Matt Nippert (using the pseudonym of “Lyndon Hood”) of anti-capitalist weblog Fighting Talk (http://fightingtalk.blogspot.com)? A posting, please.

I thought the Matt Nippert/David Cohen/Neil Falloon war was far more funny.
Is Lyndon Hood really Matt Nippert? I never got that impression.
