Monthly Blog Stats

April 29th, 2005 at 12:44 pm by David Farrar

For those political blogs which want to be part of my monthly stats roundup, it would be a great time-save to me, if you can count up late on Saturday the number of posts and comments for the month and send them to me (david@farrar.com). It takes hours to count them all up manually.

Graeme – I posted on Usenet for eight years, including the main anti-spam groups. I am on every psam list there is already. Just checked my filters and there are around 750 spams sitting in the filters for the last few days.

Couldnt you get Miss Ten to do the counting for you. I assume she got her nickname from her ability to count that far.

Interesting query here. When i do a trce of all the routers between my ISP and your host site blognz.com there seems to be cuckoo amoung them.

    Tracing route to blognz.com (202.49.187.30):
    Hop
    # Avg
    ms Loss
    % Graph Address
    1 * 100 0.0.0.0
    2 58 222.153.0.1 (222-153-0-1.jetstream.xtra.co.nz)
    3 76 222.152.127.189 (222-152-127-189.jetstream.xtra.co.nz)
    4 48 202.50.245.190
    5 52 202.50.245.193
    6 53 210.55.202.49
    7 58 33 202.50.245.242 (orcon-dom2.akcr8.global-gateway.net.nz)
    8 80 60.234.16.2
    9 92 202.36.170.4 (albinoni.earthlight.co.nz)
    10 72 202.49.187.30 (blognz.com)

All IP addresses are 210.. or 202… etc but one 60.234.16.2 doesnt give up a name when a whois search is done.

Miss Derek is 49 years old, while the local Miss Ten is somewhere between 18 and 30, depending on her mood :-)

However they both do support centre-right parties, Miss Derek having endorsed George W Bush!

dpf..yes, miss dereks’ voting patterns would fit with her profile as one of the great minds/intellects of the 20th century…yep, bush would definitely be her man..i think derek would relate to that “aw, shucks” downhome simplicity schtick of the bush…

how does it go? with friends/supporters like these, who needs..?

one would hope the comparison made with your friend was purely on the physical level; anything else would be an insult, eh?
