Scott Watson

I've always thought Scott Watson was guilty of the Smart/Hope murders. I followed the trials quite closely at the time and my former boss wrote a book on the case. His view, and mine, was that Watson did it but that the were lucky to get a conviction.

Rodney has been reading a more recent book which asserts it was not Watson, and doesn't think “for a second” that Watson is guilty. I found the evidence along with the Watson scrubbed his yacht so thoroughly it was cleaner than a hospital ward the main indicators of guilt.

I also recall a documentary after the trial when someone testified that Watson once caught a dolphin or shark and cut it up and dragged it behind his boat, and when asked why he said it was to see how long it would take for sharks to completely devour a body. Not rpoof of anything and was not evidence at the trial. But fairly chilling.

So what do people think?
