Chill Simon! Add this story to Scoopit!.

Simon Power is doing a great job getting daily headlines about the seriously dysfunctional Corrections Department.

But I don’t think we need to get too worked up about two Corrections staffers turning up to a famous NZers themed Xmas Party as David Bain and Ahmed Zaoui.

I would rather costumes for parties are not political issues!

Is the Algerian terrorist a NZ citizen now?

Simon should be mindful of how petty he gets. Seeking micro-managed perfection now will leave him vulnerable in future.

Simon Powers wish is of course is NEVER to be corrections minister.
Donna Huata would have made for a more exciting costume.
What she up to these days?

I find it rather ironic that some hot shot lawyer should criticize corrections, because I thought the legal fraternity were employees of the department?

I mean to say, most parasites jump on board the legal aid gravy train on their way to stardom.

The Corrections Dept is vague on just how this pair of jokers resembled said ex-cons. “A rather large cardigan” makes you look like David Bain? And they’re even vaguer on the Zaoui lookalike. Was he wearing a Goucho mask?

And GWW, how on earth would you suggest anyone went about trying to look like Donna Awatere-Huata?! Although by Corrections standards, a pair of sunnies and a scowl would probably be considered the epitome of mimicry.

My old man is/was in Corrections. His best buddy made the worst golf score one day at an tournament for officers and had to wear a dress as a result. He’s 6 foot 7 and built like the proverbial s**thouse, and has a beard you could hide a badger in, as well as a rad ponytail.

My old man said he had totty throwing themselves at him that night in the bar!

My question is this: How many corrections officers are attracted to the job for the uniform? It’s just ‘dressing up’ under a different name, and the golf tournament suggestst they don’t need too much prompting!

Maybe next year they can go as Simon Power!

I would say at he risk of some personal vitriol I will take on the chin
that the profession of a correction officer is practically strss free.
The inmates live to a routine. Feed themselves when served and understand consequences more so on the inside than the out.

I can say more, but basically thats the key.

I’ll have two of whatever Hinamamu is on……

Is this the sign of his character? And I thought that Labour was against fun. This man would like to see people lose their jobs for nothing, all to score political points. I have always assumed the right is the same as the left.
