Meetings galore

Not much blogging in the last 24 hours as it has been meetings galore.

Started yesterday with the organisers of an Internet law conference beiing held in Auckland in November, then coffee with freelance IT reporter Juha Saarinen, lunch with Cathy freshly deported from a British Empire colony, and then coffee with Herald IT reporter Paul Brislen (who wrote a very good article today on broadband).

Then a meeting of InternetNZ’s legal & regulatory committee (which I chair), followed by the domain name dispute resolution working group and then the executive appointment panel.

A nice Japanese dinner last night and then back into it this morning with an executive committee meeting followed by governance & constitutional committee. Trying to catch up with Netguide Editor Nigel this pm but been playing phone tag. A quick catchup with an old friend, a bit of Curia business and now off to the Netsafe birthday function.

Meant to be flying home tomorrow but the strike by Air NZ ground crew might delay that. Hopefully I’ll be back by Friday evening though as I’m due to babysit my niece, Sabine, for my brother Matt.
