The Great Barrier Reef

Each day is better than the last

Today it was out to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkelling and scuba diving as well as sun and swimming.

We went out by catmaran to Michaelmas Cay. A 90 minute sail out, five hours of snorkelling and diving and then a return home. I haven’t had so much sun since yachting in the Pee Pee Islands a year ago.

Above is a photo I took of some of the reef. The range of colours in both the reef and the fishlife is incredible.

And another photo.

Believe it or not but this is a huge effing clam. You don’t want to stick your leg nearby!

And drinking champagne on the way home!

I had such a good time, I might go and do another reef trip later in the week. There are few better ways to relax than underwater!
