Great Barrier Reef

Tuesday was spent out on the Great Barrier Reef. And unlike last time when I went out on a large cat, this time it was a small sailboat and heaps more fun. There were only eight of us on board, plus the crew and that gave us lots of flexibility.

Very impressed that the pickup from the hotel was in a stretch limo. Nice.

Most of the time we went just by sail, which was great.

We went to the Low Islands – very small but very hot.

On the trip back the wind went up to 25 knots and we spent most of the trip on a lean. Around half a dozen times the waves were so big it pushed one side of the boat right down to water level.

All in all a great day. I love snorkelling and sailing. Also managed to get some more tan!
