Jim Peron in NZ Herald
Jim Peron has an article in NZ Herald which is worth a read.
Jim makes the good point that NZ has a law which prevents people from referring to many criminal convictions if they are over seven years old. And yet Mr Peron, who has never been charged or convicted of anything as far as i know, is having allegations from over 20 years ago used against him.
I understand NZ First are boasting they have more “dirt”. Unless said “dirt” is evidence of a crime, then I can't see its relevance. And if they do have such evidence they should be referring it to the authorities, not turning parliament into the Spanish Inquisition!
