Relationships Bill Vote Details

Tim Barnett’s ofifce kindly sent me the Hansard for the vote, and I have calculated that the votes in favour and against by party are:

ACT 4 – 5
Green 9 – 0
Labour 50 – 1
Maori 0 – 1
National 8 – 18 (1 no vote)
NZ First 0 – 13
Progressive 2 – 0
United Future 1 – 7

Total 74 – 45 (1 no vote)

The ACT MPs in favour were Hide, Coddington, Roy and Shirley.
The sole Labour MP against was Taito Field.
The eight National MPs in favour were Key, Mapp, McCully, Rich, Simich, Sowry, Williamson and Wong with L Smith not voting.
The sole United Future vote in favour was Peter Dunne.

I suspect the third reading will be closer, but still a very healthy margin.
