Sir Kenneth Keith

The election of Sir Kenneth Keith to the International Court of Justice is no small thing. A very rare honour – more for Kenneth than for NZ.

National MPs have added their congratulations with Chris Finlayson noting he was taught by Sir Kenneth at Vic, and Wayne Mapp trumping that with having had Sir Kenneth as his PhD supervisor!

I worked at the Red Cross National Office in the early 90s and Sir Kenneth was our advisor on international humanitarian law. He was hugely respected not just within NZ Red Cross, but also by the Internetional Movement.
