Kiwiblog Stats Apr 2006
This is the first month I have had Google Analytics running on the blog, so some new stats to play with 🙂
* 76.3% of visitors are returning visitors while 23.7% appear to be one-off
* A total of 37,590 unique visitors (not visits which is much higher)
* 25 addicted users made over 200 visits in April 🙂
* 64% of visits are from typing in the URL, 12% from Google, 2.7% from Bloglines, 2% from Public Address, 1.8% from MSN Search, 1.2% from Scoop, 0.8% from No Right Turn and 0.6% from Sir Humphrey’s
* 86% of visits from NZ, 4.5% Australia, 3.7% USA, 2.4% UK, 0.4% Japan
* Network locations are 34% Xtra/Telecom, 16% TelstraClear, Ihug 6.7%, Orcon 3.6%, CallPlus 2.4%,
* Top search terms include Louise Nicholas, David Farrar, Kiwiblog, Winston Peters, Cactus Kate, text bullying, horoscopes, Clint Rickards, Fran O’Sullivan, Kate Sutton, Charlotte Glennie, Air New Zealand Uniforms
* Most visisted pages – The Louise Nicholas Case, Another blog breaks the law, and surprisingly Search Terms
* 61% on Internet Explorer (change now, seriously) and 32% on Firefox with 4.0% on Safari and 1.7% on Opera.
* 96% of IE users are IE 6.0, 39% of Firefox users are 1.5.0.2 and 30.1% 1.5.0.1 and 19.5% 1.0.7
* 91% on Windows, 6.1% Macintosh, 2.6% Linux
* 80% of Windows users are on XP, 12.4% on 2000, and 5.3% on 98.
* 55% of screen resolutions are 1023 x 768, 16.4% 1280 x 1024 and 11.5% 800 x 600. One person is 1792 x 1344 and one is 2304 x 864!
* For speeds, 56% are on cable/DSL, 38% on dial-up and 1.4% on corporate accounts
