National Front protest

TV and press have covered yesterday’s national front rally and counter-protest.

I have to say that I do wish the anti-NF protesters didn’t all wear balaclavas and scarves over their faces. Oh I understand that there is a legitimate concern over their photos going up on pro-NF websites, but to the average member of the public, they look almost as thuggish as the NF themselves. No amount of explanations compensates for instinctive reactions that the group wearing balaclavas are up to no good.

I don’t mean to belittle the honest intentions of those who protested – good on them for doing so. But be careful you don’t give the NF a propaganda victory like happened last year.
