The Progressive list

The Kiwi Party and Progressive Party have released their party lists – I have updated my candidates section.

The top three for the Progressives are:

  1. Jim Anderton, Cabinet minister (Wigram)
  2. Matt Robson, barrister, (Maungakiekie)
  3. Josie Pagani, communications consultant   (Otaki)

Josie would be a great MP. She is a former press secretary, and one of life's really neat people. I'd almost be tempted to vote Progressive if it were not for the fact that I'd get Matt Robson back also!

Okay I'm not really tempted to vote Progressive – but I do now rank them higher than Labour due to Anderton's abstention on the report. My rankings now are:

  1. National (nc)
  2. ACT (nc)
  3. United Future (nc)
  4. Party (+1)
  5. (+1)
  6. Progressive (+2)
  7. Labour (-3)
  8. NZ First (-1)

The figures in brackets are a change from April 2007, when my ratings were:

  1. National
  2. ACT
  3. United Future
  4. Labour
  5. Maori
  6. Greens
  7. NZ First
  8. Progressive

Labour's defence of Winston Peters and undermining of the Privileges Committee has disgusted me, and changed them from a party which I merely strongly disagree with, to a party I have almost no respect for. Well not so much the party which has many good people in it, but the current leadership.
