Ditto ‘Executive Decision’ – the only appeal of that movie was that Steven Seagal got killed off near the beginning.

The Rock would be my fav Nick Cage movie, with added Sean Connery 🙂 Con Air would be a close second. God he makes some crap nowadays tho.

A self-made man with business experience and not a career politician (Bit like Key).
However, I don’t think his 9-9-9 proposal will fly as it includes a federal sales tax (The last 9).

Avatar (21 million downloads) – yes, on hire. Hated it. Really, really hated it. PC crap.
The Dark Knight (19 million) – at the movies, hired the DVD, very good. I’m a huge fan of Christopher Nolan.
Transformers (19 million) – no.
Inception (18 million) – at the movies and hired DVD, very good also.
The Hangover (17 million) – no.
Star Trek (16 million) – Yes, at the movies, hired the DVD. Good, better than expected.
Kick-Ass (15 million) – no.
The Departed (14 million) – hired dvd. Not bad.
The Incredible Hulk (14 million) – no.
Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End (14 million) no.

Had to go over to the Mount late morning to do a little job. When I finished I went to the beach to see what I could see. The ship is on the horizon, about 20 kms out. I was at the junction of Marine Parade an Oceanbeach Rd. The beach was nice and clean- the tide was going out, so the clean-up dudes had probably done their work a few hours before. Also the wind has gone West, so any oil is being blown over past Maketu to Pukehina, Otamarakau, Matata, Whakatane and Opotiki.

On the way home (Matua) I though I’d go down to Ferguson Park and see how the harbour was. There were odd little bits of what looked to me like oil sort of clumped together, but generally the beach was reasonably clean. The seagulls and other wading birds were happily fossicking around, and keeping clear of the ‘oily’ patches.

Of course, the Foreshore and Seabed belong to the Maoris. Strangely, I didn’t see any of the bro’s cleaning things up, only pakehas.

Oops – my bad. Our hard working bro’s would all have been hard at work – only the lazy honkeys would take time off work to go and jack nohi at the beach, probably seeing if they could score anything, eh bro? 😉

Well, a few idiots like you seem to think a theocracy would be better, but most of us are quite attached to our democracy and have in the past, and will if necessary in the future, fight to protect it from dangerous theocrats like you.

I like some Ridley Scott movies but Robin Hood was just terrible. Gigantic step down from Galdiator.

We don’t have a democracy Jack. I lived for quite sometime under a dictator..would never have thought I would ever think or write this , but there were some positive aspects to a dictatorship.

Nicolas Cage has been good in some things – Wild at Heart (there’s that David Lynch…), Kick Ass, Adaptation (obviously), Leaving Las Vegas, and I liked Matchstick Men.

But then, when you say yes to every single script you’re ever given, you have to swing a few hits.

Gosh. I had no idea BorkerJerk hated black people so much. He’s a true heir to the ole’ Democrat Party.

Sheila goes into a pet shop, immediately spotting a large colourful parrot.
The price tag is $5.00. “Why so little, sir?,” she asks. The owner looks at her, says, “Look, Lady, I gotta tell ya – this bird used to live in a house of ill repute, so ta speak – and sometimes says some fairly vulga stuff.”
The woman thinks about it, deciding she just has to have the bird anyway and takes it home, puts the bird cage in the living room waiting for it to say something. The bird slowly looks around the room, then at her and says, “New house, new madam.” The woman is just shocked at the implication but thinks, “Gee, that’s not really so bad.”
Her two teenage daughters return from school and the bird sees them come in and says, “New house, new madam, new girls.” They are a just a little bit offended – then begin to laugh about the situation.
A bit later Sheila’s husband Bruce comes home from the pub. The bird looks at him and says, “Hi, Bruce.”

A judge of some thirty years passed away unexpectedly. Upon his passing he as greeted by an an
Angel who explained he was there to guide the judge to heaven. The Angel introduced himself and added, “and I must say it is truly an honour to meet you.” As they slowly headed closer to the pearly gates the judge suddenly stopped dead in his tracks and in no uncertain terms said, “Listen, I don’t care how rare it is for someone of my stature to make it up here, but if there are any lawyers in there, I’m not going in. I’m tired of them all. I’d rather suffer an eternity in Hell than argue another minute with an lawyer.”

Arriving at the pearly gates, and with much eyebrow raising by the heavenly host, the judge was determined to be worthy to enter Heaven. “One moment, St. Peter,” said the judge as the gates to heaven swung open for him, “just one thing, I’m tired of being around lawyers. I’ve been around them all of my life. Are there any inside? Because if there are, the deal’s off and you can just send me to Hell right now!” “Certainly not!” cried St. Peter, “You’re quite safe. There are no lawyers in here.” Feeling reassured, the judge pressed on and through the pearly gates into Heaven. The judge found Heaven very enjoyable until one day when all of a sudden a very elderly gentleman with a long white beard, wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase in one hand and a handful of papers in the other pushed past him mumbling something about be late for court. Enraged, the judge stormed back to St. Peter. “Hey! St. Peter!” cried the judge, “You said there were no lawyers here.” “There aren’t,” stammered St. Peter. “I beg to differ,” the angered judge promptly retorted, then pointing to the elderly man, “What does that elderly guy over there look like to you?” demanded the judge. “Oh my,” St. Peter said laughingly, “That’s not an lawyer! — That’s God. He just thinks he’s an lawyer!”

No checked that one out nasska, no sign of His Lordship there thank Christ.
I am a bit worried though. Here was me suggesting he was a grasping poser and I could have been insulting God.
I noticed he claimed yesterday that he didn’t need to live off WWL and had two other areas of the law that paid better.
That came as a surprise. I never realised conveyancing and ambulance chasing was so lucrative till then.

Never trust a christian eh? or a lawyer. 🙂
