  The way that Jordan Peterson is being promoted, when usually anyone who supports mens rights is “sexist” or a “dinosaur”, suggests that he has become a safety valve for the disillusioned and someone who is not a threat to the establishment.
  
  After all there being no opposition to insane feminism might make people question what’s really going on and they don’t want people knowing the reality of the feminism agenda which is depopulation and the sexes intensely polarised.
  
  However if he helps young men get their shit together in a society that does not care then I support that 100%.

    Labour is enforcing fair pay because national didn’t bother to promote fair pay. There is endless examples where employers have taken the piss out of the ECA and their employees.
    As Ruth Richardson said “Those who do the work will get more pay.” – but future national leaders then sat back and watched as all staff were being paid the same rates and said nothing.
    Sadly employers have had this coming for a long time but they can still do something about it — pay their productive staff more than the unproductive.

      National kept pay rate rises above inflation and reduced taxes and increased benefits. Business rewarded workers for productivity.
      Labour incease wages and benefits but tax all this away. This results in the benefit to the country not being distributed to the people who are making NZ a success but to the overweight slobs doing nothing.
      But that’s socialism and it works, look at Venezuela.

        Not when I lived there, instead they paid everyone the same rate or there abouts – the productive carried the unproductive – and I’d think that won’t have changed too much in small/medium businesses.

        That’s nothing to be proud of when it relates to public servants. And it doesn’t relate to those in the private sector as it’s not the role of government to ‘decide’ when/where/what with regards to private sector wages.
        I’m simply stating that National should have promoted the idea that people be paid according to the proportion of work that they do compared with those they work with – as that is how Ruth promoted the ECA!!

      Agree entirely – but the unions are against this approach.
      
      In my business, my most valuable assets were my employees (well, some of them – – ) and I looked after them very well.
      
      My business made money, and I shared the profits with those who made the greatest contribution.
      
      Unfortunately unions demanded all be treated equally, so the most productive had to miss out at times.

The Auckland Ratepayers’ Alliance is asking questions about ATEED’s sponsorship of Pride Festival events like KIWIFIST 2018.
The R16 event is part of Pride’s February 2-18 festival. It is described on the ATEED-sponsored website as ‘New Zealand’s biggest arse-play event’, and advises attendees to ‘BYO toys and lubes’ for ‘a full-on, five-hour-plus, gathering of gay and bi men into fisting and arse-play big-time’.

Since so many Auckland Council beaches are closed time to time for having shit and other sewerage on them, what medical consultations has ATEED had in the advisability of helping promote an event where people might put their hand up another person’s bottom?

I profoundly beg my pardon if people are still having breakfast, particularly any form of wheat cereal.

Will Bishop Brian Tamaki, see Penny’s light, and refuse now also to pay his church’s rates, or is he screwed by Matthew 22:21 – Jesus said “Render to Phil Goff the things that are Phil Goffs; and to God the things that are God’s.” or Romans 13:1 – “Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities – even local governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God, except for Trevor Mallard.”

Or will Brian just remain silent waiting for Auckland’s volcanic field to do God’s work, especially for those who have paid tens of thousands more to be on the right side of the street to have a view of Rangitoto – sort of direct line of ~~sight~~ fire ?

And if Brian’s churches are excused from paying rates, will he voluntarily pay something so he can then withdraw it with as much public furore as possible to save Auckland from likely volcanic wrath?

Winston Peters with only 7.2 % party vote gets to decide the Election.
That’s MMP. That’s the system designed to thwart Germany from ever having another Hitler (and why the fuck can’t we have instead the apparently better system the US forced on the Japanese?
Anyway now Winston polls well below the thresh-hold that would see him not in Parliament at all.

However he gets to announce a $10 million covered race course for the racing industry he has chosen to represent as Minister, while Ardern struggles with definitions of poverty so she cannot yet say how many her already announced policy will lift out of dire need.

It would seem the covered race course is a surprise to Finance Minister Robertson, who is still trying to get over the Jacinda “Captain’s Call” strait-jacket of no new taxes until after Election 2020.

But what does $10million buy in race track coverage, when that cash would buy you less than 10 average Auckland houses?
And how is it budgeted when its location is even still a mystery?

And further to that, how far will punters have to travel in inclement weather to stand or sit dry under a structure to protect them from the same inclement weather?

Had enough? No, more must be coming

  I am sure the racetrack will be made portable so that if a race meeting is cancelled through bad weather they will just transport it to the location. Or maybe they could just send a fleet of jets to bring horses & people to the Waikato where the new track will be.

  This is just another confirmation for my “talk is cheap post” below.
  
  Winnie knows he can make all these promises because, by the time anything would actually get built and have to be funded, he’d be long gone.
  
  $10M wont even pay the consultants’ fees for doing feasibility studies etc., let alone the costs of RMA hearings etc.
  
  Winnie can say all this stuff and be seen as a visionary, let down by all the pesky engineers, accountants and people that actually make stuff happen.
  
  Even if this got a green light tomorrow, and Robbo found $250M under the sofa, the RMA process would prevent anything being done before 2025 or so. By then Winnie is safely out of harm’s way.

    Actually all the engineers’ reports and hydrologists’ reports have been done for an all weather track at Matamata. It was at an advanced stage of planning then the Racing Board (I think) pulled the pin on it. That is why they no longer run steeplechase events at Matamata. Part of the arrangements was to get rid of the steeplechase track and enter into land sales and purchase agreements with neighbours, which was all done before the pin was pulled.

      When was that? If it was more than 10 years ago or so, you can guarantee all those reports will have to be redone.
      
      It isn’t just make-work either – engineering standards for data change and nobody wants to risk liability due to using old/insufficient data.

      Tauhei, I know New Zealand has a reputation for breeding stayers but most races seem to e run over 1200 metres to 1600 metres.
      
      Why can’t a straight mile track be built instead of those ovals, parts of which might be galloped on only 4 or 5 times each day…

    Surely it would still be a grass track with massive under-track drainage for the sort of money they are talking.
    
    Synthetic surfaces (aka astroturf) are incredibly expensive. A hockey field costs over $1M and that is pretty fragile – you have to be careful about the footwear you use. It certainly can’t take a horse walking on it, let alone 20 horses galloping.
    
    “Astroturf for horses” would surely cost a hell of a lot more per area than atroturf for hockey.
    
    Using hockey turf style covering for a whole racing track would cost many tens of millions. I can’t see a synthetic track costing $10M or whatever.

      The surface would actually be sand & shell much like a harness track probably.
      
      I do know there was talk of it at Matamata some years ago but it doesn’t solve the problem of meetings being cancelled at all. There are far too many racing clubs in this country but the fact there is does provide options if a particular track is damaged
      
      They do use such tracks overseas where they have limited number of tracks to race on purely to preserve the grass for big meetings

Now why would they do that?

I’ve come to the conclusion that the Lefties like to talk and like to have “conversions” and pretend they are doing things.

But they don’t actually want to get into the space where they actually have to do things.

When you’re just talking you can make all the right sounds (about poverdy, sustainability and bamboo bicycles). When you’re just talking there is no risk of failure. You can pretend everyone is going to be happy. You are not accountable for any outcomes.

It is only when you actually come to do stuff that things really get hard. It is then that plans go awry, and some people get happy and others get annoyed. It is only then that people really have to put their arses on the line.

So making, then scuttling plans is a much safer option than making a plan and executing it. This keeps all the consultants in gravy and everyone can go to meetings, look at the PowerPoints and feel important without taking on any real responsibility. It does not matter that the crap that is being talked about will not actually work. You can promise the earth. It does not matter unless you actually DO stuff.

I think we’re going to see lots of that with the CoL which is whay I am not too worried about them breaking stuff. They have already started many conversations and will start more. Great. People who are conversing are not achieving anything, but they are also not breaking anything either.

  There is bullshit here somewhere. No way is the annual plan not seen by both politicians and the management team before its released. The policy at AT, could have changed since I worked there but I think not, is that both the CEO and Chairman sign it off before it could be published onLine. Before that it would be sent to all councillors embargoed so they would have read it and be prepared for questions from constituents. The Auckland Councils Mayors office and Council CEO would also have a copy. My view is a copy was leaked to the Minister and he raised shit.

        RP: Yup, certainly. As I have written before, the anti-jumping bill will force people to jump.
        
        As a NZF MP you have three options when the bill gets close to its final hearing:
        * Jump: CoL loses their majority and there is potentially a change of government. Potentially negotiate onto National’s list and make another term as a National MP in 2020.
        * Stay in NZF, but refuse to vote along party lines. What’s Winnie going to do? Fire you? Then he loses his MPs and thus has no more leverage over Labour/Greens. If you’re a cross-bench independent you really don’t have a chance as an MP in 2020.
        * Meekly submit and stay with NZF. No chance of another term in parliament since NZF is going down the gurgler.
        
        Hmmm options, options….

  Umm very quick peruse. The one about open borders. For example NZ can barely pay for looking after it’s own citizens. We cannot open our borders to everyone and pay for them as well. The Somalian refugees have cost us a lot of money to take just one example. I’ve heard that half of them can’t find work. Many will be on welfare long term.
  If we have a homeless crisis we need to look first after our own.
  
  Unrestricted immigration and open borders has been rejected in the UK and the USA because it’s detrimental to the country and its own citizens.

        I took the bare facts: 0.14% of the population is responsible for 1% of the crime overall (or 6% in specific categories). That translates to 7 times the average offending rate (or 43 times for some categories).
        
        The other commentary is just that: commentary. “Prepare to see these statistics manipulated in many ways, by both sides of politics, as the state election draws closer” does not change the facts. It does not change that 7x or 43x number.

  There’s all sorts of reasons why NZ will never get someone like Trump leading the country.
  For a start we don’t have a presidential system whereby an outsider can circumvent the party establishment as Trump was able to do with ease.
  Don Brash probably came closest, but he was no Trump.
  The cabinet in NZ is made up of elected MPs and can’t be dismissed from parliament – although that could change. So there is a limited pool to choose from. POTUS can pick any wild eyed ideologue he likes.

The old record of 6.5 million viewers was smashed by smithereens by Trump with an astonishing 11.7 million viewers. It was also the highest rated presidential address of any kind in the history of cable news.
  
  Now to the reaction from viewers. CBS took an instant YouGov poll. Here are the amazing results.
  
  97 percent of Republican viewers liked Trump’s speech.
  
  72 percent of independents liked it.
  
  Amazingly, 43 percent of Democrats liked it.
  
  Overall 75 percent of Americans approved of the speech. And a shocking 8 out of 10 felt President Trump was trying to unite the nation, rather than divide it. Two-thirds reported the speech made them feel proud.
  
  Which means anyone who isn’t a bitter, nasty, arrogant, hateful, Kool-Aid drinking socialist loved what they saw. Unfortunately, that leaves the entire Democrat Congress.
  
  That’s why I report the Democrat Party committed political suicide on Tuesday night. Their response to Trump’s speech was out of bounds. It wasn’t normal. It was hateful. It was bizarre.   Actually, prosecute him, I wouldn’t have a problem with that. It goes past flirtation and involved actual physical assault – not a particularly high grade one as the woman was able to push him off and get away, but in the context, assault.

The speaker at Question time was a disgrace on Tuesday and went down hill from then on. Labour have taken to hiding poorly (and that’s being nice) performing ministers from Question time and having Twitford and Winston fronting for them.
Both these two, Robbo and the Doctor who’s not a Doctor just rant and rage about the last Government and give no indication on how they will fix the last governments perceived “Fuckups”. Trevor Mallard lives up to his name by allowing Ministers to Duck hard questions by using semantics, and using weasel words to allow them dodge and weave there way through Question time.
The week of the 13th will even be better/worse after the members get back from a week of Troughing.

Overall a nice little perk for the Dairys and a sneaky back door way by the real thieves the Peters “selected “Coalition of Corruption and Confusion.
Talk about legal theft and Coalition craft,this one takes the biscuit.

Came across a piece of mangled NewsHub reporting with video of a noble Lord answering a question & then announcing he would be going to the PM forthwith to tender his resignation. This little episode occurred in the UK House of Lords, when Lord Michael Bates failed to live up to his own standards of noble and courteous behaviour. His crime he was late to the despatch box to answer the question from an opposition member of the Lords. As he left the despatch box there were cries of “no” from Labour lords. This was because of their high regard for Bates, who was seen as a Minister who was renowned for answering questions fully & completely.

I wonder if such practice could ever catch on in the NZ parliament?

The PMs speech on “fixing poverty” proves yet again the Left dont want to see an end to poverty. Poverty provides them with an excuse to raise more taxes and berate anyone who objects. How could you deny the poor. It also gives them a weapon to attack the Right as they dont care about the poor.

Only 2 things will fix poverty education and employment. And the Left have no interest in implementing either. They want to throw more of the Rights taxes at the problem knowing its not the quantity of income that determines the outcome its the quality of the spending.

There are plenty of strategies to achieve this but the PM did not mention one in her speech. In 10 years time unless we have policies around education and employment the numbers will still be the same or worse.

      A good lawyer is a treasure & I admit that mine has served me well over the years.
      
      My bitch is that they generate their own employment. They have a knack of getting the nod from Parliament to make sure that everything MUST be run past one of their number. It’s a protection game.
      
      In 2016 NZ (according to the Law Society) had 12100 practising lawyers……that is one for every 383 people. In Auckland they really bleed the plebs….. one for every 299 citizens.
      
      A good criminal lawyer is worth his salt. Ditto for many who specialise in business & commerce. But family law & conveyancing?
      
      One of my heading dogs would have run circles around most of the wankers. 🙂

        In practise they have the best interests of the children and parents at heart……..after the relationship has broken down that is…….councilors, real estate agents, marriage [re]-celebrants, accountants, lawyers, divorce party planners…………it’s an industry……and most of them advertise for business.
        
        In QLD a local family law practise had adverts on the radio constantly reminding people of their legal rights “if they were having relationship problems”[who hasn’t to some degree]……most was to do with money matters like superannuation, houses, boats and cars, and how ‘husbands can get the better of their wifes financially’ – young female voices played the roles of friend looking after ‘worried friend in bad relationship’.
        It’s all about taking other peoples money. They couldn’t give a fuck what happens to the kids.

As expected it’s damning for the FBI, the DOJ and some very crooked people in the DNC, most likely up to and including Obama himself.

FISA warrants gained to spy on President Elect Trump based on Steele Dossier who was paid $160,000 USD by the DNC to produce the false information in the dossier.

Steele’s words about Trump to Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, a senior DOJ official – he was “desperate that Donald Trump not get elected, and he was passionate about him not being President”. This clear evidence of bias was recorded by Ohr at the time but not included in any of the subsequent Page FISA applications.

During this same period, Ohr’s wife was employed by Fusion GPS to assist in the cultivation of opposition research, paid for by DNC and Clinton campaign via Fusion GPS. The Ohrs relationship with Steele and Fusion GPS was inexplicably concealed from the FISC.

While the FISA application relied on Steeles “past credible reporting on other matters”, it ignored or concealed his anti-Trump financial and ideological motivations.

Furthermore Deputy Director McCabe testified before the Committee in December 2017 that NO surveillance warrant would have been sought from the FISC without the Steele dossier information.

Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr later provided the FBI with all his wifes research paid for by the DNC and Clinton campaign while concealing their relationship with Fusion GPS and Steele.

The DNC rigs the Democratic Primary Election against Bernie Sanders so Hilliary can win the nomination. Obama’s administration starts to request surveillance on Trump, his family, his transition team, and anyone associated with him. Donna Brazil gives Hilliary the questions to a debate. The DNC pays Christopher Steele to come up with a smear dossier about Trump. The mainstream media releases a taped conversation about Trump talking about grabbing women parts. After all this Trump still wins the General Election.

Obama orders an investigation into Russia meddling in the elections. Obama changes Executive Order 12333 to allow more agencies to have access to surveillance data. The Democratic Party comes up with a scandal that Trump Colluded with Russia to win the election with no evidence or proof. This wild claim is backed up by the mainstream media.

Obama hold overs start unmasking Trump’s transition team and staff members then release the classified information to the mainstream media. Why? Because the DNC and the Obama administration colluded with the intelligence community to thwart Trump’s campaign efforts to get him elected president. All this Russia collusion is an attempt to cover up the fact that the Obama administration, the intelligence community, the DNC, along with the mainstream media used our nations surveillance as a political tool to try to get Hilliary elected President. This makes Watergate look like a kindergarten play. Let that sink in.

This is plainly treason. Americans subverted by their own banana republic government that decides who will take rule, DOJ/Obama/FBI implicated directly. The government proven to subvert all US citizens in an act of treason.
