Socialists loathe it when their own methods are used against them – they cry like little bitches

Sean Hannity shows how you deal with libtards – when they go low, you kick them back in the ballis!

The utterly biased anti-Trump (so called) journalist Chuck Todd from utterly biased (so called) Meet the Press news show on NBC pointed out that Hannity had a conflict of interest as he’d been a client of Trump’s lawyer Cohen. Think about that, Todd thought Hannity shouldn’t talk about the Cohen raid on his show because he used the same lawyer as Trump. Could’ve been worse I guess if say, Hannity had bought a suit from the same tailor… or bought a car from a dealer who had sold one to Trump in the past then maybe.

Now Todd is crying a river because Hannity responded by highlighting that Todd has a major conflict of interest Todd’s wife is a “consultant” to the DNC and Todd should’ve been declaring exactly the same sort of conflict of interest every time he made a political comment.

Todd is boo hooing about poor him and poor wifey to try to hide the fact that like all socialist liars he thinks conflict of interest only applies to other people. What a fucking hypocrite – Chuck Todd materially benefits directly from the Democratic party and he thinks he’s a saint. If he lives up to his own standards he will have to give up his job.
The lying whoring MSM infest Labour relationships and vice versa. In NZ we have the PM, the speaker, the genocide defender to name but a few who are domestically entrenched with medium profile media types.

But back to the conflict of interest. There is a pattern here about how crooked socialists work. Disgraced and soon to be prosecuted Andrew McCabe failed to declare (while clearing Hillary Clinton of any wrong-doing about her dodgy email server during the election) that his wife was getting a massive campaign contribution from one of Clinton’s bagman.

And in NZ we see the same sort of dodgy double-dealings with Jacinda’s office as mentioned on KB a few days back.

It must have been mortifying for him to have it revealed publicly that ‘lawyer’ Michael Cohen had only three clients – two sleazeballs who had used Cohen for non-disclosure agreements with former ‘lovers’ – and poor old Sean Hannity, who is a universally acclaimed beacon of moral rectitude.

  I like Hannity and the way he dismantles Left arguments by doing his homework. I look forward to the criminals he exposes being brought to justice, and I can understand why his show is popular. Of course he has good sources of information, just as our investigative journalists used to have. CNN by comparison has the extremely dour and flawed Anderson Cooper.

    The new sponsor for New Zealand’s media awards had a few interesting things to say. He spends a lot of time in the US and finds about one third of the people he meets seem to get their news from Fox, etc and about two thirds from CNBC, etc. He finds their views completely polarised. His interest is in the quality of journalism, and rejects the view that everything on one side of such an extremely biased view of the media could be always wrong, and the other side always right.

        Thanks, but I wouldn’t say that it is only the ‘mainstream’ media that is a problem. Lack of trust in institutions generally is the problem, and people turning away from formerly trusted sources of information to even less trustworthy sources doesn’t help.

  RedRadio this morning interviewed a cretin from the Ploughshares Fund who basically did nothing but insult Trump: Kim Jong-un was just laying a ‘trail of carrots’ that Trump was following, Trump was grasping at the ‘shiny object’ etc. He was presenting Trump as a complete idiot who was being played by Kim.

    I might be proven wrong, but the hypothesis that of Trump as a complete idiot being played by Kim seems to fit the available facts and has yet to be proven wrong.
    On the other hand, the hypothesis that Trump is a very stable genius whose insults and threats have brought Kim to the bargaining table also fits the available facts and has yet to be proven wrong.

  The Duck is becoming more and more protective of the COL with every sitting. Reminds me of the teacher at school who ran the morning assembly. Detention here and detention there, “wait outside my office after assembly” mean six of the best. He ceased canning when a few of us turned to him after be had administered the punishment and said “is that all you have got old man”. It’s about time National also stood up to this dictator and had a few walkouts. He will not want his reputation tarnished so that there is no “title” on his retirement.

Every time the kid got whacked, he’d involuntarily lift his head and smack the back of it on the doorknob… Teachers could be sadistic little fkers in those days.

    I was once told that it was wrong to hold a grudge for many years however when I heard that a former teacher had been killed in a car accident I had a celebratory drink. This prick used to thrash us at school just for the pleasure.
    
    It go so bad that one day after he lost his temper with the resident class clown he demanded to know who had not had the pleasure of being canned by him. Those that put their hands up were duly dealt to over the next 2 days.
    
    It was obvious a complaint was made as he went on holiday for a week after that. When he came back he rarely canned again.
    
    He would not have survived in the current environment.

      One of my friends was in for four. Upon entering the discipline masters (I kid you not) office, he found the dean was also there “to supervise”. My friend said “I didn’t realise it was a spectator sport”

Forgiveness is begged, I didn’t have time to write a shorter version.

Approaching the end of my 70th year, I frequently look at how things are done now, compared to “back in my day”. As a rule, things are much better; indeed perhaps too much better when comparing the restricted diets available in the 50s to the unrestricted calories consumed by westerners today.

One area where I feel we have lost a vast amount of value is in the Schooling of our children, with six grandchildren under 11 I am taking a great interest in what the system they are in is offering, and comparing it to my school days.

I grew up in England, so cannot reflect on the New Zealand system, but I am given to understand they were similar, and working on that thesis the fool owing reflections are mine, and mine alone.

Schooling started for me and liveable at home with my parents insuring I received good grounding and polite behaviour and appropriate manners.

At the age of five and seventeen days, I started primary school as the youngest in my class – a burden I was to bear for thirteen years as there was just one intake in the September after you turned five. School was a short walk away, and everyone in walking distance of the school went there. For the sake of class size limitation to circa 30 pupils we were streamed alphabetically based on surnames. Each classroom had a six by five matrix arrangement of desks, to which we were, again, allocated alphabetically by Christian name. ( My Jewish neighbour was told that Howard was a good Christian name and he could continue to use it, the one follower of Islam was informed that Mahmoud, would be acceptable if a Christian was so babtised, and so was allocated a desk. No one wrote to the papers or protested outside the school over these wanton actions byTHE HEAD.

Toward the end of the September to August year that we reached the age of 11, our entire year group sat a multi part ‘test’: called the 11 plus, despite some of us still just 10 at the time. The test covered reading, writing, arithmetic and intelligence and the four papers took two days to complete. Our achievement in these four areas were used to “stream” us for our secondary schools, of which there were four kinds. The Modern, where the focus was on life skills and dexterity. The Technical, where the focus was on mathematics and technical drawing. The Grammar, where the focus was on academic subjects. While all three streams followed a core 3Rs curriculum, their areas of focus were clear and conscientiously delivered.

Not being totally unaware of the challenges involved in accurately making streaming judgements at age 11, The was as option two years later (the 13 Plus) where pupils whose teachers or parents believed they had been erroneously judged could ‘have another go’.

Our block had seven houses, and seven boys and girls spread over a span of three years. Two of us went to Grammar schools four to Technical school and one to Modern school. In our mid to late teens we were able to compare notes and “satisfaction”about our schools. We were mostly happy at the assigned schools, though two of our number who had to ride two busses to school and then the same two back home were envied for their “any day any time” bus passes, the rest of us had a ‘scholar’s pass’ limiting us. At around 1968, when we had all left school, fiveof us on to university, one to an apprenticeship and one to a department store in “town”, we were together at the first marriage in our group. Were were all clearly happy with our lot in life, content that school had prepared us for adult life, and clearly determined that the joys of the 60s should continue.

We were an Accountant, a Lawyer, an Architect, an Electrician (who employed four others,) a Civi Engineer, a Navy NCO, and a Department Manager in a city store. We were different, in our natures and abilities, and The System worked for us, in my view because of its focused diversity.

Inn a few years my grandchildren will be placed in “college” secondary schools based on nothing more than proximity. Their teachers will work hard, and with great dedication, to imbue them all with “a good education”. Wether the physically or mathematically gifted will have had their gifts encouraged toward engineering careers, or the “brainey” ones intellects challenged with logic and grammar, or the less academically minded taught the life skills required to survive in the ever changing world in which we live, would appear, to me, to be less likely than probable.

Of even greater concern to me is the fact that they will have been educated in a “no failing” environment, where the realities of the life they will face will come as a potentially crippling shock. An acquaintance of mine has a twenty year old, who left school at 17 hoping for a career in sports. He had done well in College sports and believed he would continue on the senior clubs and leagues. He failed to get into the local Club’s senior team, having been told there were too many others better than him. He failed to get a job at the local supermarket, being told there were others better suited to the position. After a year of similar rejections he had descended into deep depression, virtually never left his room and video game, and at 19 took his own life. I sincerely believe that had he gone to a Modern type of school, he would be alive and happy today; but I’m just an old guy working hard to avoid fartitus, and hoping for the best for his grandchildren

  Dave.I think this is one of the biggest issues facing this once fine country.
  The greatest thing a future maybe centre right party could do on being elected is return the education system to something like it used to be.
  The unions need to be ousted from control and education taken back to basics and away from social engineering.
  Do it quickly.
  Unfortunately I don’t see anyone with the guts to do it.

  Dave, I suspect you’re right about the education system. However we can’t prove anything without evidence. We need the ability to innovate, combined with objective and comparable measures of success. Unions are bitterly opposed to both.

  Encourage your grandchildren to have more than one interest; let them experience failure; guide them into good friendships.
  
  I taught a number of boys who were keen on a top sporting career; a few made it to International level.
  A couple had spectacular crashes (booze /sex abuse).
  But quite a few of the “2nd-raters”…. those who were never going to get into a Rep team.. have had great sports careers…. playing/coaching at local levels overseas; personal training for rich folk; running-helping at ski resorts, etc.
  
  Lots of kids don’t get the jobs they first set their sights on; nothing wrong with starting at the absolute bottom and getting a foot in the door.

    Same in music, Maggy. The most talented often crash, because they don’t have the stamina and basic life skills to form a proper career in music. Some B graders keep at it and end up being brilliant musicians and even better teachers, because they have had to work out every detail.
    
    Maybe having anything too easy in life isn’t that good for us…

      A graders can and should focus on their better talents like making rep rugby etc. while the B graders should focus more broadly on their talents like coaching, exercise, nutrition, sports related management etc. as Maggi has noted. And almost any young person can and should learn basic bookkeeping and related personal matters. The young man would have probably been now working at least at rebel sports with his sights on management of some kind, and not getting depressed after the supermarket turned him down. Combining ambition with reality is what he should have been taught by his parents and teachers[that’s not to say they didn’t].

  Apprenticeships are so important for those more gifted in those areas. But what’s happening instead? Contracts and subcontracts are spread around using our tax and rates money, and the companies bring in already trained people from overseas. Much easier than actually training up locals.

  Poor bastard. I had a similar experience with sustained unemployment at one time. The lower tier unskilled jobs are now an exercise in diversity. Unless you’re part of a pajeet or chang chain, or a transvestite or a woman or gay, you aren’t getting a job working in groceries in England. It’s getting that way as well in Australia.
  
  You might like to read John Taylor Gatto. He’s a former teacher of the year in the United States. A Mensa genius. He wrote a sprawling but enthralling treatise on the genesis and development of modern education in the west. He covers everything. From the ancient assumptions of modern schooling being Egyptian, Hindu and Chinese not western. From the institution of education in the West in Europe by the brilliant Church fathers and the founding fathers in America. To the debasement and perversion of what they left by the the reactionary section of the founding fathers, Frederick the Great in Prussia, Rousseau (who gave his five children away to strangers, all abusive child molesters) and David Rockefeller.
  
  Education today is designed, implicitly and explicitly, to make children stupid, unthinking, uncreative, dulled, stupefied, passionless automatons, who can function as good button pressers or column marchers in a factory or in a 19th century musket column.
  Well meaning vapid teachers can deny this all they like. That is the inherent to the fabric of our modern education system. These well meaning young women can smile airily and earnestly all they like. It doesn’t change the structure of the formula of what they are executing.
  
  And that’s the best version of it.
  
  Today you can add to that stupefacton and indoctrination by design post modernism and queer theory. The design of both of those ideas is to destroy the very notion of the objective, and the very notion of coherent natural laws. Everything is a subjective determination. It’s also designed to create more nubile young sexually adventurous kids for the gay community to enjoy. As I quoted from Huxley, schools are very well on the way to days comprised of ‘erotic play’ in the morning and ‘class (identity) consciousness in the evening. I would know. I’ve been a teacher’s aide.
  
  We are all indoctrinated in an oriental model, not our own Occidental model. It views the adult as a an empty headed child, and its aim isn’t education but transformation of nature.

  Yes, I work in the tertiary sector at a top tier University (don’t be so silly, of COURSE its not in NZ). Even here we see some that have been “passed” all the way through the school system. They get here and hit a brick wall and its truly devastating to see them decompensate. They just don’t cope when they fail. The other side of it is, its easy to be the smartest kid in the room when you come from a town the size of Te Awamutu. But the top kid in “C” class at AGS is probably smarter (not always, but commonly enough). So its a massive blow to their self esteem.
  
  We need to teach our kids to learn to fail. To have resilience and tenacity. And to pick up, dust off and go at it again.

    Concerning the current stat of NZ education:
    
    Does anyone remember ‘Tomorrow’s Schools’; the oh so clever ‘modernisation’ of education policy developed in the ’90’s? That’s where all this started folks and it was interesting seeing the massive difference in my children’s knowledge as a direct result. There is a seven year gap betwen them and the older (who was taught pre-Tomorrow’s Schools) was IMHO better taught and educated than the other, especially in such things as Maths, English and NZ History. The difference was surprising but the Dept of Ed assured us (as concerned parents) that there was absolutely nothing to worry about and that the children taught under the new exciting, all-encompasing policy would be even more ready for the Twenty-first Century than their predecessors taught in the old (and now oh so old-fashioned) way.
    
    How little we knew that Marxism comes in all sorts of forms and shades…

      A small point which seems to have ben forgotten by many:
      
      The Korean War is actually still being fought; the 1953 ‘Ceasefire’ was exactly that; a TEMPORARY suspension of hostilities – the North hs never accepted peace, and has never, ever, forgotten that it is still at war with the UN (now personified by the USA) and South Korea.
      
      It still intends to occupy / own / control ALL of the Korean Peninsula and with that in mind, the acquisiton of a nuclear capability to try and at least damage its larger enemy made / makes perfect sense.
      
      On that basis, be under no illusions; this war will not end until there is a PERMANENT peace agreement, an even then (given its past performances), there is the very distinct possibility that the North will ignore it anyway; the intention to own is still very, very alive.
      
      That the two Korea’s and the USA are talking is wonderful, but it probably owes more to th actions of Beijing than anything else.
      
      Take away the Chinese ‘control’ and its all on again…

        A wife is generally around for the long haul, and has displayed a commitment. Partners are able to move on when it suits – as we have seen on several occasions with the current consort !

        Before National came to power, people were clamouring to leave the country. By the end of their term, people were clamouring to come here.
        
        National managed the effects of the GFC and the consequences of the EQs without the economy melting down. Employment increased considerably and unemployment stayed low.
        
        In the 2017 PREFU, the Treasury said “New Zealand’s economy and the Crown’s books are in a sound state. ”
        
        Attainment of school leavers increased significantly, especially amongst Maori and Pasifika.
        
        Youth offending went down.
        
        And the state of our waterways improved considerably.
        
        In less than six months of the CoL we have had fewer people wanting to come here, business confidence falling and a major industry that underpins much our our industrial activity given a death sentence.
        
        I can easily imagine how people will judge the CoL’s single term.

  A lot of the German drop seems to be from lower subsidies and people using rooftop solar for their home use, not putting it into the system.
  
  It’s not an ‘either or’ argument: we do need gas and petrol while we develop more sustainable energy.
  
  I’m all for much more solar and wind if we can make them work – better chance in NZ than Germany anyway (lower population, more sun, more wind). Friends of mine in Northland love their rooftop solar supply and I’m looking into it too.

    @Harkman it seems to be yet another poor choice of Minister by the COL where their talent pool was so shallow but pound for pound the dumbest to choose. She was quick to “clear up” any confusion over coal but those resources have been established since back in the day.
    The silliness continued though as she seems to want us to believe existing licences for oil exploration will extend out for 50 years. They just don’t get it do they as they have made it a high risk industry that will soon see potential investment dry up. The massive investment required firstly for exploration and the subsequent establishment of productive sites is only attractive if there is some possible continuity from on-going returns. The COL decision without prior consultation is unheralded but the greatest show of ideology flying in the face of sound economic and environmental planning. Especially when a seriously planned program would have been mutually beneficial both in financial as well as environmental terms.
    It is also laughable that their knee jerk announcement was of no benefit to the Commie Chick since it was trumped by so many other world events of so much more significance.

Well if you read deep in the body of the report you find two things, first that almost all the soil loss is from areas that don’t have any dairying, and second, they didn’t look at the soil loss that there is no farming. That is where most of the erosion is. The report also says:
“Understanding recent soil erosion trends in Aotearoa New Zealand is challenging, as to date there has been no comprehensive national monitoring programme for erosion (see Data gaps for soil). Results from land cover analyses have suggested erosion has been decreasing since the 1980s, probably as a result of increased scrubland and plantation forestry
(Dymond et al, 2010; Basher, 2013). ”
So things are getting better!
So the headlines are fake news. And people wonder why the media is losing credibility.

      If her size is irrelevant to the job she does, then criticizing her because of it is completely gratuitous. Most people are upset by gratuitous criticism of their physical attributes, so it is a likely consequence of such comments that the recipient will be upset. That is classic bullying. If an irrelevant comment is both unfair and impolite, it demeans the person making the comment, at least in my view, although of course there are those who think making unfair and impolite comments is somehow clever. Each with predictable views but have to say Mr Whetu Cormick was several times smacked by Ms Owen, not least because he was toeing the vacuous and self-serving union line perfectly.

    Whetu Cormick, Principals Association president, has a lot to say on The Nation this weekend, most of it not very helpful IMO. For example he said giving children incentives to attend school – uniforms, lunch, devices, stationery- is propping up the business model. So that sounded like he thinks that a bad thing, but he then went on to say he agrees these are good things to reduce barriers but they don’t address the huge systemic problems of poverty and disadvantage.
    
    I think he is saying fix world peace first then look at removing barriers to education in the school down the road.

    I bought a house in Mangere Bridge about five years ago. Whilst I wouldn’t say this is a particularly flash suburb house values, and rates, have risen such that a percentage increase of the order realized by Ardern’s house wouldn’t by out of the ordinary.
    
    I’ve seen pictures of her previous house and new one. Neither of them are palatial.
    I’ve also seen pictures of Penny Bright’s unkempt abode. I suppose there are some people who think, being Labour and all, she should know her place and move in to a place like that.

And that’s once the land is released, which according to the council’s own strategy documents is spread over 30 years!

      But it wouldn’t be the same record in terms of overs…and they are what are recorded in the first instance in official bowling records (“balls faced” is recorded against batsmen).
      
      Also, the stamina/rhythm of the bowler, and the concentration required by the batsmen are not identical in 4, 6 or 8-ball overs, so while there is approximations, they are not necessarily (to quote you) “valid”.
      
      Given your capacity to make rough and ready approximations that eschew precision, when it comes to possible inclusion in Kimbo’s kick-arse pub quiz team, it’s a case of “don’t call us. We4’ll call you”. 😉

        When I went through a few years ago on a visit to Wellington they had a video on on the 1961-62 New Zealand tour to South Africa. I’ve got Bongo Reid’s first biography that covers that tour. Outstanding effort by that team to draw the series 2-2, against a Springbok team that included Jackie McGlew, Johnny Waite, Roy McLean, Neil Adcock, Eddie Barlow and Colin Bland – arguably the greatest fielder of all time who died just last week.

Just went to open home,looking for in laws.

Over heard woman,50s,saying the government is showing the way to New Zealand that the future of good education and lifestyle isnt the married family but a village approach that we all have input too.
I asked what she did for a living,she works for the Ministry of education.
I laughed and said “you need a medal ,having to work with people who, on a bad have more braincells than you do”
She called me an arsehole,lol.
Really “my neighbours 5 year old could do better than that” I said.

Just why do we need all this security?
For whose convenience is this for?
To be secure on ANZAC day, when the veterans and soldiers of past gave their all, to secure society into the future.
One would think that society has become deranged, or the leaders and managers are leading every one down a garden path, where trucks and cars could “mindlessly” go, though others would claim there is a purpose.

It seems to be that it has to put in, in case some one gets hurt!
As that may cost every one, then security costs also be charged to every one.
Yet no one says the reasons.
Not even that all cars and trucks to be banned. 🙂

  The life of bollards, at least trying to get the leaders.
  
  heavy steel bollards, driven by powerful pneumatic motors, are capable of springing out of the roadway with such force they can fling large trucks into the air.
  
  But in five separate incidents since November last year – two in the past couple of weeks – bollards have been impaling Commonwealth cars, smashing everything from transmission systems to motors, and piercing the vehicles’ undercarriages.

  There was now an “enormous” amount spent on security and other aspects of the Parliamentary precinct, Mallard said, and he believed much would be better directed to health and education budgets.

    Mallard has never been known to try to slug anyone before. On the contrary, as a new MP, he was crash-tackled by a parliamentary security guard, who could not believe such a scruffy oik strutting into a secure area was a member of Parliament.
    
    If we could have more security guards, and give them a daily quota of Labour and NZ First targets, then our taxpayer money would be spent on a worthwhile cause (for a change) and Parliament would become so much more entertaining 🙂

      At a time when terrorism and apartheid are daily smoko topics, it seems almost wanton that the most-debated issue in this country these days is what we should do with a bloke who threw a single punch in anger, causing no injury. Subsequent to what appears to have been a fortuitously incompetent slugging of Tau Henare, Trevor Mallard has been ritually humiliated for days on end, not least by his leader. He’s been demoted and packed off to anger management. His pedigree has been read and reread with lurid additions all across talkback land.
      
      Honestly, what was she thinking when she married him?! 😉
