Well why have people not rebelled more over some of our Prime Ministers Jacinda Ardern rules as really most border on blackmail in which again shows there is rules for some and not for others.
The latest is Rythem and Vines might need to be canceled because of our vacation rates, well if that’s the case and the Goverment are using it as a tool through its popularity so be it, I never voted for this Government or the current Prime Minister and most that will go to Rythm and Vines Concert so those that would will get there just reward for the seeds they sowed.

Let’s face it Rythm and Vines is just another mechanism for Jacinda to gather votes and push one of her policies on testing the drugs young people have to make sure they will not harm the people that want or need to get high.
I am sick to death of this Government and its Leader using blackmail to ensure the Labour Party and there Leader achieve from blatant bribes and blackmail of the population in New Zealand.

      The previous election, yes. Though that was an aberration, which is quite appropriate for this government.

        The current government, and all governments under MMP, is there because a majority of the votes were cast for that side of the house.
        Previously, back to 1951, the majority of the votes were cast against the eventual government.

    Thought criminal, totally agree. I just had breakfast at a local café here in Masterton. Talking to the owner, “how’s business?” He waves his hand, not so good. He is one of the many many frustrated people here in New Zealand. It’s nothing like Auckland. But here in the provinces hard-working men and women are really struggling. Level 2 is bad for business, it depresses business, customers are anxious, many people stay away and masks are a constant reminder of fear and stay home.
    
    But I am also reminded of the reality that we voted for this. We voted for her. She will save us! I will save you! How is that working out?
    
    I see in Sweden, which never ever locked down, they still have a few covid deaths each day. But not many. They just learned to live with it. We need to learn to live with it. It is never going away. We are going to have to take the hit that every other country took. Jacinda won’t save you.
    
    Get up every morning, say your prayers and then face the day with courage.

      Leaving aside religion, I agree with Scott.
      
      There’s a silly story on a Stuff today about an 87 year old woman whose grandson claims she died because of Covid. Maybe she did or did not. But the fact is she exceeded the average life expectancy for women. She was also vaccinated which means, based on expert findings from Norway earlier this year, that the vaccine may have been a contributor to her death.was she told about the risk of vaccination? Probably not.

        She was on end of life care for long term dementia and had only a few weeks at best to go. Why was she double jabbed in the first place? Covid would have been a mercy, as flu has previously been. And why did her family consider it necessary to run off to the press over a clinical decision? And finally, why did Stuff even give them the time of day? Or is it diagnosis by consensus these days?

        Where is the consistency. On medsafe their are 94 deaths after vax. They are divided into unlikely (40), not enough information (38), under investigation (15) , and vax death (1).
        
        There were over thirty under investigation the week before and they seemed to have been moved to not enough information. The under investigation deaths remained the same since July. So it obviously takes months to investigate. And many are never determined.
        
        Not so Covid deaths. Covid Deaths there is only one statistic which is covid deaths reported. They never say not enough info, and they don’t report covid deaths that were deemed unlikely. And the deaths seem to be reported the next day or in the same week. I think this article is the only covid death “unlikely” we have seen. Maybe they are triying to show a more balanced approach.
        
        The same article was repeated on Newstalk zb. And included a statement from Michael Baker who said, “There is a weakness in our coding system that says you can only die of one thing.” ….”About 500 people die each year in NZ after contracting influenza. But only 5 to 10 percent of those are recorded as influenza deaths because most of the patients had underlying conditions that made them vulnerable to infections.” But there are multiple reporting systems Baker said and he believes it will most likely eventually be reported to the World Health Organisations as Covid Related.”!!!
        
        This system is ripe for abuse. Did we even have a pandemic. We have been grossly mislead and the numbers are meaningless without more context and a consistent application. Oz provides all cause mortality data every month current til July 2021. We have no mortality data since 2018. Government knows more about you than you know about the government.     Bobba you look at the amount of times Covd-19 has been detected in towns water system since the need to increase vaccines in them particular places and how many cases have been added because of that test. I live in Huntly and a couple of weeks ago it was found in our waste water and what followed was a campaign to get those that had not been vaccinated to have their first jab.
    Now let’s get this straight Huntly has still not had a positive case of Covid -19 since it was first detected in New Zealand, not one and we again have suffered with a month lockdown, so again I call this Government out for there bullshit and scaremongering because they have no plan and everything selfishly is stacked there way to control New Zealander’s.

      I’m not sure what you mean by TRIBAL here Bob. Peters AFIK is not into things Maori and has been anti-Maori stuff, even to the point of supporting the removal of Maori Seats in Parliament.

I despise Peters’ political manouverings but quite simply the numbers will not stack up for National and Act unless there is a landslide against Labour, which is unlikely. National and Act need to try and make peace with the man because if he runs again they will need him.   Theres a old saying in business. Never set a target unless you know you can meet or beat it. There is another old saying. Always under promise and over deliver.
  If this Government had been smart they would have said that when the medical experts said it was save to open up they would. And they would have told the medical experts to say the same.
  Now they would have copped flak. But they would have had the flexibility to balance the medical with the political.
  Instead they have boxed themselves into what may prove to be a fatal corner.
  What ever they do they will piss off Aucklanders or the rest of the country both with significant numbers of soon to be former supporters.
  
  BTW I have always held that voting is an 80/20 game. 80% vote according to how the Government is impacting their personal circumstances and 20% vote along ideology lines. I point to the 2002 election where the Nats got 22% as an example.

Canterbury ethnic cleansing?

On the banks of massive Te Waihora Lake Ellesmere (NZ’s 4th largest lake) at Greenpark, Canterbury homeowners have lived, fished and played for over 120 years (1900). In other words, they’ve established cultural usage, te whakamahi tikanga. Maori, of different tribes, have used parts of it for longer, taken it from one another, and fought over it: Ngāti Mamoe, Ngai Tahu, Waitaha, et al.

100 years later (1998) local’s kainga was given to Ngai Tahu as part of a huge treaty settlement (including much of the South Is. coastline). Within three years (2024) Ngai Tahu will evict the 12 decade-long homeowners from their inter-generational homes and kohi Kai, using a political ruse of ‘water quality’ to discontinue leases.

We see the ethnic divide-and-rule ideology of the government in practical play. On the basis of ‘water quality’ and a treaty settlement 100years after their establishment, leaseholders (of multiple ethnicity) are to be evicted from their intergenerational homes. Many are elderly.

Is this ethnic cleansing? Ngai Tahu suggest the huts settlement is culturally significant. The shores of Te Waihora are expansive and almost completely empty other than as grazing. Why this tiny pinprick hamlet of European and Maori leaseholders have to be removed from this empty expanse, is little more than a power grab. It is divisive. It is unconscionable. It is a disgrace. Will Greenpark Te Waihora become a Canterbury Bastion Point?

    You are missing the point. As usual. No the owners are entitled to end the leases.
    
    But just because you can do something, doesn’t mean that you should. The point that is being made is that these people are being evicted for ideological reasons. It has nothing to do with their impact on water quality.

        The Greenpark village is a tiny pinprick on the map of Lake Ellesmere, which is mostly empty with grass. Why does Ngai Tahu NEED to evict them? For what purpose? They’ve been there longer than Ngai Tahu who were repatriated from Kapiti by Ngati Toa after converting to Christianity, to Banks Peninsula about the same time, after being dispossessed themselves from Kaiapoi and Onawe.

        I agree with parts of what both you and Benedict are saying.
        
        It’s a lease. So to Mike’s point of course they have the right to not renew it. However given there is no pressing need for that particular spot and the residents are elderly, there are other ways to do it.
        
        Why cite water quality of there isn’t a problem? Perhaps waste water is being tipped directly into the lake. That’s not acceptable, just like the dodgy waste water situation at the boat houses in Titahi Bay.
        If that is the case, to Benedict’s point, lease renewal could include the requirement for a fully contained treatment system on every plot, alongside a condition that on the death of the current leaseholders the land returns to Ngai Tahu.
        Eventually the whole place would empty out, and fairly quickly if they are that old.
        
        But at the end of the day it is Ngai Tahu’s land.
        
        It is interesting to see how Ngai Tahu: don’t pay tax; are getting continued subsidies; get a top up on every subsequent treaty settlement; want (Maori) social housing tenants to have tenancy for life; have no compunction to move white people off their tenancy.

        And on Lake Ellesmere is the spit, which the Government has forked up $16 million to buy jointly with Ngai Tahu as a potential rocket launch site.
        
        The tribe says the land traditionally was used at a Maori transit site.
        
        The space launch potential claim is based on the fact that Rocket Lab in 2015 considered the spit as a potential site. Rocket Lab uses a site at Mahia in the North Island and is developing a site in the United States for its larger rockets.
        
        Ngai Tahu Properties assets, with the property bubble, surely must be close to $1 billion. Like other Ngai Tahu businesses, the company is a legal charity, and exempt from company tax.
        
        You have to wonder whether it had any part, small or big, in our political parties’ opposition to capital gains tax. Or would charities be exempt from any such tax, as well as to company tax?
        
        This puff for the state-helped tribe purchase of the spit was published by Stuff at the time:
        
        Mark Rocket, chief executive of unmanned high-altitude solar aircraft company Kea Aerospace, said Christchurch was already a gateway to the Antarctic and would soon “be a gateway to space”.

        One of those norms being, the right to do as you wish with your own private property. A right is not a right if it is only available for nice people to use in a nice way. The Maori land owners are not answerable to us, and while we’re not obliged to like what they’re doing, we do not have the right to make them stop it and nor would we want there to be such a right.

It’s all very well to look at the results of waste water testing in Gizzy and Hawkes Bay. But many rural or isolated communities are on tank water or bore water so they will never know how far it has spread in say the PM’s old stamping ground of outside Murupara or round the east Cape. At least Te Whanau Apanui got off their chuffs and got a huge % of their population double vaxxed.

      Given the theoretical impossibility if proving a negative, probably more accurate to say that they have shown that the presence of a “Loch Ness Monster” is extremely improbable.
      
      I imagine (because I haven’t checked) that this testing also involves PCR techniques for amplifying DNA/RNA fragments, anyone know for sure ? If so, the method is extremely sensitive and can potentially detect down to parts per trillion or even more. At those levels though false positives must be a concern. And I guess there could be cross over if they are detecting the S protein as that could very well be shed by vaccinated individuals.

    Astonishing, particularly when we know how flawed the PCR test is. A test which involves sticking a swab to within a millimetre of your brain, yet still gets it wrong regularly. Or is it like the PCR test, to quote a post on KB the other day, it can detect oysters on mars if the ct is run at a high enough rate?
    I’d love to know more about this wastewater testing. If it can do that then surely it should be really easy to come up with an accurate and less invasive test for people?

Recently I read an article about the Italian Health System. Pecifically how it has revised its original statistics for mortalities ‘from covid’ from 92,000 in 2020 to – wait for it – ‘just under 4000.
After so much initial panic, this is quite a revision.

It brought me full circle in a strange sot of way. During ‘Lockdown’ in 2020, I recall a press furore about covid mortalities in Milan. It was a pie-chart, so even I could understand it. From from memory, it indicated that of 304 cited deaths ‘from covid’ only eight epople died without any other pre-existing condions, such as cancer, respiratory illness, diabetes etc. This is still an appreciable number. However when we look at unrelated cases – for example alleged deaths post-vaccination – we will often find that the initial number cited is reduced as subsequent reviosns and new information comes to light a generous interpretation might half the initial eight to four, a rigorous one might reduce the number to two. The point being simply claiming ‘x-amount of people died of…’ is emotive, but not scientific,

I reflected to myself that Italy has an aging demographic, is the economical (and literal) ‘Sick man of Europe’. The Rest of the EEC are literally hanging them out to dry. After teh bail out of Greece, it appears there is no relief to be had. For any person charged with running such a health system in Milan, having ‘covid’ to explain such apparently radical systemic failures must have been a god-send, or, might simply reflect how many people of a certain age, with certain conditions, would have died anyway.

I mean, who wants to write up ‘It was a symptom of a failing health service, ageing poulation intensive living conditions, illiteracy, poor health and life-styke choices, and cultural practices whiich make hugging, kissing and close contact practically mandatory’?

At approximately the same time, I watched a statistical breakdown of the fatalities cited in China (remember when it was politically acceptable to call this ‘Wuhan-Flu? – yes about that time.). It indicated that in a population the size of China, the fatalities were as to be expected from any flu-like virus. The presenter went so far as to indicate that in a population of Chinas incrediible mass, ‘more people were likely to die falling off foot-stools’ than of the number cited as a result of Wuhan.

Meanwhile the Western and Governments (with the exception of Sweden) press went into overdrive, showing arial photos of showing mass graves in New York. Except, they were stock photos of similar ‘mass graves’ because New york State has so many unclaimed bodies, routinely that this is how they are dealt with. Coupled with photos of people ‘defying social distancning’ on beaches which turned out to be shot with telephoto lenses that foreshorted perspective and create an illusion of epole side-by-side. Throw in reports of overcrowded ICU units in different parts of the world, all showing the same photo of one ICU unit, (I mean did any actuall journalist take part in this narrative?) I began to form my opinions. Amongst them was this one: The press are making stuff up? But why? Why wold any responsible media outlet stoke panic and fear, unless they were genuine aout their fears regarding covid?

I wish to share what I call ‘The Lucy Principle’ with you. In the famous Children’s book The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis. Peter and Susan go to their mentor, concerned that either their Lucy, or their brother Edmund, has lied to them, but Lucy’s story about going into Narnia via a Wardrobe, is so fantastic, it beggars belief.

“Logic!” said the Professor half to himself. “Why don’t they teach logic at these schools? There are only three possibilities. Either your sister is telling lies, or she is mad, or she is telling the truth. You know she doesn’t tell lies and it is obvious that she is not mad. For the moment then and unless any further evidence turns up, we must assume that she is telling the truth.”

The Lucy Principle is simply this: logically, it makes sense to assume that people who tell the truth can be trusted. Logically, it makes sense to assume thatpPeople who lie do not deal in truth. Once a lier is exposed, it makes logical sense to assume you are being lied to in other regards by that person. You cannot control what they say, only your response to it.

So, even earlier this year I saw a photo a a dead man in a street in India – attributed to ‘covid’ which turned out to be an old photo of some unfortunate who died in a gas-leak, it simply reinforced The Lucy Principle about teh media and covid in my mind.

The most recent fatality I’ve consumed information about in the New Zealand media failed to mention that the poor unfortunate who died, was in her eighties, until the final paragraph of reading. This suggests that the editor had to engage in some Swiftian exertions in order to make this unfortunate death ‘about covid’.

And yet within the media there is a deafening silence about elderly people who may have had their journey hastened by factors including stress and fear from a ‘pandemic’ frail bodies unable to deal with vaccination, lonliness and anxiety because in tehir final days they were denied access to their loved ones. There continies to be a wilful lack of engagement with stories circulating about adverse reactions to vaccinations, premature deaths, official statistics, or even possible hoaxes.

I mean, if a chemical plant opened on teh edge of your community, and adverse reactions adn deaths were emerging at the same time, what journalist or editor worth their salt, would simply ignore even the possibility that it deserves to be investigated, even if only to prove that such rumours should be discounted? What happened to teh sense of community loyalty we once considered a given by local press?

In this regard, I consider the press to be guilty of more than lies by omission, I’d accuse them of failing their readership, failing their own standards, and failing the nation, and finally of outright sadism.

I may be guilty of an incredible dose of confirmation bias, but notwithstanding, I’d like to share a few observations with you about the ‘uses’ of covid.

Well, it certainly cleared up China’s ‘student uprising’ in Hong-Kong overnight didn’t it? Governments across the western world keen on progressing their own agendas, mimicked China’s use of ‘Lock Downs’ – despite there being no scientific, epidemiological or ethical prior justification for it. Suddenly failing Political Parties found they were going up in the polls. Suddenly, policies which normally would be criticised could be conveniently forgotten, while laws which usually would result in popular uproar, could be passed for ‘safety’ reasons. I am not interested in other conspiracy theories, ‘Agendas’, lizard-people, micro-chips, and such. My view is much more prosaic.

People and politicians, when presented with an opportunity to act in teh absence of usual ethical restrictions, will abuse their positions and do so. They simply cannot help themselves.

If we consider the ‘Lucy Principle’ it is necessary to ask yourself this.

“Has this [insert politician/media outlet] lied to me before before?
“Is this [insert politician/media outlet] mad?

If the answer is ‘No’ to both of these it is logically safe you are being told the truth. If your answer is ‘Yes’ to either of these, it is logically safe to assume you are being lied to.

Of course in absolute numbers, fewer Maori are unvaccinated than the rest of the unvaccinated population. Because Maori make up 15 percent of the population. A 12 year old could explain that.

The point is that Maori asked for and were given preferential access to the vaccines at a very considerable cost. Yet very large numbers of Maori under 65 have not taken advantage of this preferential access.

      Oh, please. All Muldoon did was substitute one form of control with his own brand of micromanaging the economy, and which nearly destroyed it.
      
      Note that from 1984-1990 under Labour the unions didn’t take control of the country, actively opposing Rogernomics which led to his demise and Lange’s infamous “cup of tea”. And in the early 90s it was the repeal of the Shop Trading Hours Act and repeal of compulsory unionism that effectively stamped out militant unionism.
      
      Perhaps Muldoon should have tried liberalising the economy, but no, command and control was his thing and Jones knew something had to be done or we were in big trouble.

Mary lives in a Retirement village. She is a very social person loves being part of the daily activity.
Swims every day, plays bowls and cards. She isnt jabbed. The village has now ruled she cannot any longer mix with the others so she is confined to her apartment. It is driving her silly.

Mary’s husband is in care, half a city away. He is going down hill with dementia. Mary could no longer cope with him. The care facility has banned non-jabbed people. No more visits for Mary.

Mary has three children all grown up with their own family. All overseas and cant get home. She misses them acutely.

You might ask why doesn’t Mary simply get a jab and many of her problems will be fixed. She can’t. She has a throat and lung condition and has been advised not to. Life has become hell.

UK Daily Telegraph yesterday reports energy co Drax have a huge power stn in N Yokshire .
Used to burn coal , then went “green” and claims to burn “biomass” that’s claimed to be a by product of the forest industry . In fact it uses trees from the Baltic , the US and Canada and now produces way more CO2 than it ever did using “dirty” coal.

Furthermore the carbon footprnt of shipping all that “green” biomass thousands of miles to the UK is also way higher than using local “dirty” coal.

Not to mention the real world deforestation actually going on to create “green” bio mass.

Huge subsidies amounting to billions of pounds sterling are also involved in this greenwash power generation, how ‘sustainable” is that?

    To be fair, coal is biomass from many millions of years ago. Back then, at times, the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere was over 3 x what it is now. The concentration dropped at least in prt because of the sequestration of carbon into coal and oil. A lot also went into carbonate rocks like limestone.

    I think the spin is that biomass can be sustainable/renewable
    (Source of energy – sun via photosynthesis), whereas
    coal is a finite, limited resource (on human time-scales)..
    Of course when it is primary, old-growth forests that are being harvested for biomass digesters, it makes a mockery of the Greens claiming to care for the environment.

    So what the Green New Deal in the US does is it funds a whole lot of leftist community groups to take certain actions in the name of fighting AGW but in reality they’re political activist groups. So the US taxpayer will be, if the bill passes, funding the left to win every single election in perpetuity. Because the “infrastructure” bill also enacts federal election rules that override the state election laws. Such as enacting rules for widespread use of postal ballots, which are a major vehicle for Dem fraud.
    
    Bankers know this and are playing along because they are looking at China’s 1.2 billion consumers and they want China to become the global leader in a world where everyone uses the Chinese goverance model with social credit systems and concentration camps and controlled media and all the rest of it. Some people haven’t yet understood that the multinationals and Big Tech and the banks and the big Wall Street firms and Big Pharma are all on the opposition side along with the Dems.     Many years ago, when I was working in health, we had a lovely Indian chap die from Motor Neurone Disease after a five year illness. His wife wanted to sue the hospital because there was no resuscitation attempted when he slipped peacefully away. She simply could not accept he was terminally ill, let alone that he had died. The media have largely ignored Michael Plank’s lament about the lack of assessment as to where covid infections most likely occurred.
He admits it is impossible to be definite, about exactly where/when an infection happened, but thinks a list of likeliest probabilities would allow much greater certainty when deciding action.
Yesterday, director of public health, Caroline McElnay largely dismissed the dangers of supermarkets and drive-thru contact, when explaining changes to places of interest.
Twenty months of varying lockdown levels and some of the most important information about ‘keeping safe’ is not properly researched.
How dangerous is outdoor contact.

Last year in New Zealand, or in overseas countries excluding Singapore, this death would have previously been classified as Covid.

It sounds like we are now changing the rules for what counts as a Rona death. In the UK, having Covid within 28 days is all that is required.

If the policy change means that we can stop lockdowns and open the borders sooner, it is probably a good thing, although the authorities should be upfront and honest about the changes…

    Doing anything that is not an apples to apples comparison is not science. It is fraud.
    
    The only way to really have done this honestly would have been to do all the original sampling with 25 and 40 cycles and then compare 25 to 25. I suspect that PCR testing can’t be stopped and checked half way so that likely doesn’t work.

Yes I’m killing off Overton on KB as he’s nothing but a deluded pain in the butt, so times up for his pointless waffling. In actual fact he’s become an alienated pariah in this, the land of his birth & yes, your typical, old grey lone wolf howling in the wilderness. Once upon a time I believed our young nation had a great & visionary future ahead of it, yes I even thought NZ was destined to lead the world by example & make a real difference. Well how stupid I was & how times have changed, as now, when I reflect on the state of our nation, all I see is a failed state which has been infected to its core by the extremities of liberalism. Yes, the land I once loved has become totally enslaved by the ideals of the UN backed, ultra-liberal, globalization elite, who’re doing their best to cheapen & destroy all that was great about our western civilisation.

I now feel I don’t belong here anymore, if I really ever did. This land is no longer my home & my time here is done, so the only choice left to me is to turn my back on NZ & spend my few remaining years, as far away from our maddening shores as possible.

I must also add, in recent times I’ve grown to hate our very adolescent NZ, its unchallenging aspirations, its mainstream mediocrity & its predominately selfish, shallow, cargo cult, social media & consume obsessed, sheep like populace. Of course I’m not immune from such things & this hatred as I’m also a product of our degenerating & soul destroying kiwi environment.

If there was a like minded bunch of radical conservative kiwis who dreamt of a very different NZ from the one we know today, & were prepared to fight for it, then I would join them in a flash. Sadly this is not the case, as all the fight seems to have deserted us & all I see & hear is endless moaning about everything under the sun. As Iggy said & now Greta says, all bla bla bla, so a lack of meaningful ideals or inspiring action makes us all dull boys & girls. Maybe this has something to do with the influence of cyber space on our world which is definitely hollowing out our cultures, societies & the authentic personality & genuine humanity within all of us.

This is worth a look at. I have had 2 jabs and will have a booster preferably not Pfizer. This shows to me that anyone with an IQ higher than Comrade Ardern that not all the people opposed to a vaccine and particularly Pfizer is not stupid and/or ill-informed.

I believe this government made a big mistake in not having more than one vaccine. Even if the claims made in the video were not true having an alternative surely would increase the uptake of some vaccine.

There should be some research on how many who refuse to be vaccinated would accept vaccination with another vaccine.

  Could this be the long-term potential unknown harms we feared from experimental vaccines? There has been an unexplained 20% (=90) increase in non-covid excess deaths amongst ~1.8 million teenage boys in UK over last 4 months (but not girls) in line with their rollout of vaccinations to teens. So about 1 in 20,000 are dying which is far higher than killed by covid pre-vaccine. Myocarditis comes with a very bad long term prognosis and is known to be caused by vaccines and seems to be worst in young men (low body fat?).

I was disappointed that Labour would increase the abatement for Working For Families tax credit from 25% to 27%. When Family Support Tax Credit was first introduced the abatement rate was 18%.
I was thinking of that bloke with three children, what with twins, the eldest is three. That bloke learnt several years ago, while at university, that free love is expensive; he has a child support liability.
The wife stays indoors as she has the three little ones to bring up. He earns $1350 per week and their finances are stretched out like a shanghai. Her father finds a 3 hour Saturday morning job for the young father of three. Money for jam; $33.33 per hour. The father-in-law is pleased to help his son-in-law out. The father-in-law is concerned when the young father points out that out of the $100 the tax man will take $33, ACC want $1.40, the student loan will take $12, $3 for KiwiSaver and $18 for Child Support and $27 abatement on the Working For Families Tax Credit.
The older gent says;
“stay home with my daughter I will give you $6.00; you will be better off.”

        It is the government deciding to inject itself into the retirement game.
        
        It is completely different to welfare. If you want to make the claim it is the same, then why can’t everyone get welfare?
        
        I would however agree that when a person who has not worked gets to retirement age, they are really pulling the benefit – not super – because they never contributed to it.

Ministry of Health reveals more details on vaccine pass for domestic use and international travel

Above is a link to an RNZ article on the vaccine passport and the company that will be involved in implementing it.

The article, however, do not take you to the RNZ site, instead it seems to be a copy of it posted via Microsoft Start. I accessed it via my Edge browser news.

Accessing the article in this way provides the ability to react to it via likes, dislikes etc and also you can comment. Bwwahhahahaa, this article has bipassed the NZ Media censors. It currently has 73% dislikes.

Now to the really, juicy parts. The Ministry of Health has identified the IT company that will be involved in developing the vaccine pass.

The ministry has contracted New Zealand tech company MATTR to create both vaccination passes for use domestically and internationally.

I checked the NZ Company register and found that MATTR is 93.75% owned by Spark.

So, if you’d like to protest the development of the vaccine pass, one way of doing to is to withdraw all business from Spark.

I’ve been thinking about Cindy’s wedding. I want to help out, because she is so special.

My idea is that she should use a LOTR theme for her wedding vows.

In the LOTR, the ring was inscribed in Black Speech created by Sauron as a constructed language to be the sole language of all the servants of Mordor. It says – “One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.” We would perhaps need to translate this into Maori, to update the story to NZ.

Next we need to cast all the characters.

Gayford could be the Gollum character. Cindy could be Sauron.
Jessica, Tova and the media gang could represent the Orcs.

I would suggest Winston Peters as Saruman the Brown, who enabled this entire theatre.

The story could be that into the ring Cindy has poured her cruelty, her malice and her will to dominate all life.

Gayford places the Ring on Cindy the Cruel’s finger in Gisbo, and consequently we all in live in darkness forever.

What say you?

Just a short note to say that we enjoyed a marvelous day at Maire Park Whangarei today. Lots of people enjoying the sunshine and each others company. Living a normal life with no masks and no social distancing.

The children were outside using the swings and slides and having a great time getting some outside exercise as well as having a nice feed.

Thanks to all the police officers that didn’t stop us having fun.

I would guess that what we enjoyed today is not unique and that this is going on in a lot of places in New Zealand.
