Personally, as someone who is double jabbed, I admire them. Even after all the government and media fear mongering, threats of losing jobs and being shut out of society they still refuse to bow down to it. If I had to go to war those are the type of people I’d want behind me.

    Overnight Austria has locked down 35% (2 million) of its citizens for not getting jabbed. They are not allowed to leave home except for essential purposes. Police are doing random Vax passport searches through supermarkets, stopping cars, etc. Coming to a South Pacific Island near you once Jacinda’s chaotic passport roll out is complete.     What ever happened to freedom to choose if any medical procedure is carried out on YOUR body?
    Doctors always ask you. You have to sign papers agreeing. It’s the LAW. The medical centre rings you up to say the annual flu shots are available, you choose to get them. To get a third COVID shot you have to have a doctor sign a form from the ministry of health AND you have to sign it also.

  Hmm, he’s an opinion jock Vory. I didn’t like him at all for a long time. Laughed when he got owned by Ben Shapiro over gun rights in the States. But found some respect when, after he berated the English cricket team, calling the cowards amongst other things, he was challenged by Brett Lee to face him in the nets, and he did. Brett Lee bowled full noise and smashed him. He would have been black and blue afterward. It made me cringe watching it as Morgan really couldn’t defend himself.     Anti vax is just a smear and a cunning bit of propaganda.
    
    It works because it groups someone who is opposed to all vaccinations including low risk, long term, fully approved, immunity -inducing vaccines which is a more fringe viewpoint, with people who reasonably are concerned with government forcing this new experimental higher risk drug with waning effectiveness on the public by extreme and bizarre propaganda, coercion and threats. It works as a cunning bit of marketing because the word “anti vax” groups the new experimental vaccine with approved known and trusted vaccines instead of measuring this new technology on its own merits.
    
    Comirnaty is “provisionally approved” by medsafe twice. Why didnt’ Pfizer go for full approval? And is hesitating over taking a provisionally approved drug your right?
    
    Individuals in this group may have many reasons for not taking both doses of this drug, those labels could be cautious, pro freedom of choice , pro transparency, pro information, anti propaganda, anti tyranny , anti medical coercion, anti segregation, anti digital passports or any number of personal health risks that they are taking into account.

      Provisional approval is no indicator of the manufacturer knowing something or being nervous about a product.

        The point is that this is NOT a vaccine in the conventional sense, it is – as the inventor stated, a gene therapy – that is why the CDC two months ago changed it’s definition of a vaccine; so it is NOT a vaccine.
        The populations of many countries are being exposed to the greatest biological experiment with an experimental gene therapy in the history of the world. These are not mywords – they are the wordw of Robert Malone, the inventor, & Dr. Peter McCullough, a world leader in his profession.

Some interesting admissions from a CDC panel a couple of days ago. It got little media attention but it has been picked up in the LA Times.

Political leaders can’t easily cope with the shifting evidence and uncertainty. That last quote nails it…

“it’s very hard to convey uncertainty and remain authoritative,”……”

That is Jacinda. It used to be elimination. Now it is the 90 percent target and vaccine certificates.

In New Zealand, the 90 percent vaccine target and, especially, vaccine certificates were based on a presumption that herd immunity was an achievable goal, and that the vaccine could prevent transmission.

It is impossible to forget Jacinda telling us that the Government would use vaccination to stamp out COVID outbreaks “just like measles”. That seems long ago, and it now looks so ridiculous as to be funny. But she was sincere at the time.

Maybe 12 months from now we will all look at our vaccination certificates and also have a laugh.

    It would be even more excellent if your party (I aaaume you are still involved) based their policy on science. This has been common knowledge for months to anyone who looked beyond nz media….where has Seymour been while supporting mandatory vax, vax of children etc. in 3 months when we finish the kids rollout someone will tell us that it’s news that Taiwan has banned Pfizer for U17 and Germany has banned moderna (basically the same tech) for under 30s.

    Nothing at all. In apartheid South Africa the pass laws were one of the most hated facets. These passes – the dompas, were carried by black South Africans and determined where they could live and travel. The horrific Sharpville shootings began as a protest against these passes. It is no joke that we now have an apartheid New Zealand and “Freedom Day” is a misnomer as it is precisely the opposite of what it says; it is a day that will go down in ignominy as the day freedoms were taken away from some people. The black people of South Africa have a Freedom Day where they celebrate the removal of the yoke of oppression. I would wager that many of those around the world instigating these measures stood against apartheid in SA.

        Sorry bronny but you’re arguing on shifting sands that will drift out from under you. There is no actual evidence to suggest that the effects are somehow worse, or “significant” as you describe them.
        
        The effects have been in line with other vaccination programmes and nothing to be concerned about for the vast majority of people.
        
        Given the number of doses given out, these vaccines have been proven to be extremely safe and effective.
        
        Booster shots have been talked about since late-2020 and come as no surprise to anyone who’s not been stuffing their head with misinformed nonsense.
        
        I’ve had mine first two and will quite happily have a third or fourth. Given the coming widespread nature of the Merck and Pfizer (I think it’s them anyway) pills, the need for intravenous vaccination should become less over time as we transition to oral medication for treatment.

        The vaccines are neither safe or effective and if you want to compare them to other types of vaccines then you just have to look at the mortality figures to know that what you have said is indefensible. Apart from death there are many life altering complications such as paralysis, myocardial infarcts, pulmonary emboli and an altered immunity leading to increased chance of cancers, etc. These are real and many people have experienced them. It is usual for risks to be expressed as numbers per 100 000 (for example) not not the vague and dishonest extremely rare.
        Still, if you want to choose to have a vaccine that is fine with me, but coercion is not as has been expressed in many documents from the Nuremberg Code to our own Bill of Rights. One quite simply has the right to make one’s own decisions when it comes to body autonomy. Our government has stepped out of line and Jacinda has shown her nasty and psychopathic nature by gleefully saying that she is going to punish those who do not follow her will.

        I have to produce photo ID to a private airline when checking in for a domestic flight.

        News today that pfizer lied about vaccine safety in their trials. about 22000 received vax and placebo respectively, 17 died in placebo group, 21 in vaxxed group. But Pfizer claimed only 15 in vaxxed group and 14 in unvaxxed.

  Thank you Benedict for my insight of the day. “It is very hard to convey uncertainty and remain authoritative” sums up so much of what is wrong with public discourse.
  Imagine having experts in epidemiology and climate science being asked for an opinion or a prediction and them saying “I don’t know”.
  Same with politicians, especially the lower quality ones.

    Uncertainty, smaller or larger, is part and parcel of human biology largely because every one of us is genetically different – even identical twins often have different spectra of mitochondrial DNA. It’s a field where analysis is based on statistical methods and where a 100% uniform result of a trial or study is vanishingly rare. Therefore any trial result can be expected to contain a level of uncertainty and that uncertainty can itself be quantified.
    
    Explaining that to someone unfamiliar with biological research methods or even proportion can be an uphill battle. Many people are incapable of comprehending the magnitudes of relative risks which is why explaining a level of uncertainty to them can be difficult.

  We really need all of our politicians to be able to tell us the whole truth. I hope at least some, if not many, of them would like to. But are we prepared to listen long enough to hear it and to receive it with maturity?

  What staggers me is that most of the information that caused all the flip-flops over the past 18+ months was available before the initial “definitive” and problematic decisions were made.
  e.g. Eliminate – It was well known when JA said “hard and early” that she was late, and it was already known that it was the elderly that were being impacted, not the general population.
  I could go on, but I’m sure those of you who actually think about this are aware of the truth.

      Without such a certificate I will:
      
      – not be able to see my family for years to come.
      – will not be able to visit the premises of (most) clients, hence go out of business
      – will not be able to socialise with friends and collagues.
      
      Sorry I only get one life – I have 15 to 20 good years left. I’m not going to throw them away standing up against vaccinate certificates to show they are stupid.

        I think this is where some of us have a fundamentally different mind set. It’s not so much that they are stupid as that they are criminally tyrannical and an abuse of our rights. If we submit to this one, which other rights are they going to take away?
        While claiming similarity to Nazi and Communist encroachment is often denied as far fetched, the pattern is clearly there, and EVERY society that has accepted a toe hold of tyranny has gone on to regret it.
        By accepting the current tyranny one emboldens the tyrant. They can, and already do say “Look, 80% of the population already support our action…” and use that as a tool to enforce their further draconian regulations.
        I have family in both Oz and SA, I’ve an 18 month old grand daughter I’ve not seen in 8 weeks, and I’ve essentially been told: Don’t come if you aren’t vaccinated. I’m currently forced to work from home, and will not be able to have face to face meetings with my clients either (I’m an IT Consultant). But I don’t believe any government has the right to restrict my movements in this way, and I would rather suffer the restrictions I currently have than accept the government’s ILLEGAL mandates, for once I have submitted I will be submitting forever.

  I got mine after about 5 minutes, it displayed a couple of “to many requests” messages, but on the 3rd refresh I got in. I had already registered my details on the My COVID Record pages last week – that was a pain – took about 20 odd minutes. The system sends you an email, with an option to add to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay. This worked smoothly. I suspect there will be access problems over the coming days, which is sorted of expected with high demands requests. I’m now of night clubbing – oh wait Jacinda says no you can’t, I have to make more announcements about announcements

So, we have Labour politicians getting vigorously questioned over their covid approach and we get headlines MP’s on high alert over death threats. This coupled with the likes of David Parker saying the drop in polls is due to tension over the extended Auckland lock-down and all will be good after Christmas.
They really have mis-read the room as Covid is only one issue, with gun crime, 3 waters and other separatist policies being rushed through under the cloud of covid confusion they have created, is really pissing people off.
To dismiss the recent, and upcoming protests, as anti-vaxer’s or racist antagonists, is just attempting to shift the narrative as they know they are in trouble. To have their MSM puppets, like Jenna Lynch, run a sleazy hit piece on National MP’s meeting with businesses in Auckland but didn’t have their masks on, shows how low they have become. Let’s hope for the good of the country, the support for Labour/Greens keeps tumbling down.

I see Ardern is wheeling out Auckland’s lame dog mayor Goff on MSM to do some messaging for them. ie soften up regions outside of Auckland that they ‘must open up Auckland and let the Aucklanders out’. It’s pathetic watching Goff try and act out a scripted piece sent from Wellington. Not a very convincing actor and has that nasty Labour habit of smirking throughout his delivery.

Where has Auckland Goff been all this time? Haven’t heard a peep from him going into bat up till now for Auckland. Maybe because he’s got one eye on Washington and is shutting up for his masters because of this. So Goff has not called out Labour whatsoever on its treatment of Auckland. Barnett of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce has advocated far more for Auckland than Goff ever has.

I know there are people in the regions running scared of catching covid when Aucklanders are allowed to leave. My message to them is ‘Get over Yourself’. You have nothing to fear. This fear is one of Ardern’s divisive narratives in action that is dividing the country. Doing untold damage to tourism operators in Auckland and around NZ.

It’s very clear that Ardern’s going to stretch Aucklander’s nerves and prolong the agony and not open up till FRICKING mid December. That to me is 15 December. Won’t be 1 December. This is all clearly because Ardern’s vaccine passport rollout is months behind prime time. So Ardern’s figuring, hold back Auckland a couple more weeks. What’s another couple of billion $? Chump change for the student politicians, Ardern and Robertson?.

    Was talking to a dog walker friend yesterday,a 40 ish year old Maori, and he tells me that on Thursday he is off in his mobile bus to the South Island so asked for how long – 3 months or more minimum, as wants to keep away from the changes in the Auckland limits.
    He usually spend spends summer in Whangamata where they have land, but wants to stay away this year because of the usual 30,000 -40,000 influx of Aucklanders.

      Truman – I think the other way – Tendulkar for pure technique and Lara for hunger and endurance.
      
      I saw Tendulkar score a very much needed second innings hundred plus in Napier and he was flawless, His partnership with Gambhir was 200 plus as I recall – it was March 2009.
      
      While I may have seen Lara I cannot recall doing so.

    This blogsite is about the only place to get half ways uncensored opinion, although I don’t like the number of anti vaxx comments on here. It appears to over represent what is really happening out there in NZ society. I just scroll through them now to the real General Debate posts.
    
    You know certain posters are just constantly posting their anti vaxx theories on here and seem to have attracted other anti vaxxers to the site. Which I find a shame.
    
    I increasingly read and subscribe to overseas based news sites just to get uncensored news about NZ. That’s kinda sad isn’t it.

        I react to the passive aggressive aggro of those that are anti vaxx on KB. They appear to challenge and get obnoxious towards anyone who isn’t of their worldview. They regularly don’t offer up any solutions just constant criticism of the pro vax stance.
        
        If some of their theories were a thing they would be being implemented around the world. The whole world is diverting resources to finding solutions and any fringe concepts that worked would be being implemented.
        
        I’m not contesting that these anti vaxers have done ‘a lot of their own research’, I’m just saying there is a lot of aggro and alpha behaviour coming from these people. To the extent that they are probably driving right leaning people away from the site and commenting at all on KB, which is a shame.
        
        Many people here are pro vax and also pro choice but they don’t get a look in here. There is a common theme, that the anti vaxers on this site are on here from dawn till dusk pouncing on any pro vax stance.
        
        In saying that, there are a handful of quality commenters whom I rate, and these people are the ones who keep me reading this blog site. In spite of the above mentioned anti vax individuals on here.

So boosters wont be required… yet according to chippy, but the newly released certificates are only valid for 6 months just in case they are. Sounds suspect to me.

I actually like the idea of places requiring a vaccination certificates. It shows me the places to avoid over the next few months as the vaccinated muppets who think they are bulletproof all get together in small unventilated locations the virus rips through the vaccinated like it has in every other country. Outdoor venues of course should be exempt but dont expect any kind of thought process.

They missed a trick at question time when Brenda was being asked about alert levels etc and said that some countries overseas even with high vaccination levels were going back into restrictions. Someone should have said – so does that mean the vaccines arent working as advertised?

I guess no one wants to say it just yet…

Well, well, well … it appears that More people died in the key clinical trial for Pfizer’s Covid vaccine than the company publicly reported. It’s all documented and referenced.

Pfizer said publicly in July it had found 15 deaths among vaccine recipients by mid-March. But it told the FDA there were 21 – at the same data cutoff end date, March 13.

The placebo figure in the trial was also wrong. Pfizer had 17 deaths among placebo recipients, not 14. Nine extra deaths overall, six among vaccine recipients.

Could the discrepancy result from some odd data lag? Maybe, but the FDA briefing book also contains the number of Covid cases that Pfizer found in vaccine recipients in the trial. Those figures are EXACTLY the same as those Pfizer posted publicly in July.

Yet the death counts were different. Pfizer somehow miscounted – or publicly misreported, or both – the number of deaths in one of the most important clinical trials in the history of medicine.

And the FDA’s figures paint a notably more worrisome picture of the vaccine than the public July numbers. Though the absolute numbers are small, overall deaths were 24 percent higher among vaccine recipients.

Perhaps we’re seeing the consequences in UK teens mortalities.

  Well it’s certainly not the miracle cure we were all being promised 14 months ago.
  
  Remember the promises/expectations:
  * It would be highly effective (as good as MMR).
  * It would last long.
  * One jab would give huge benefits. The second jab was just for extra safety because it was still a new vaccine.
  
  Now we’re realising:
  * It is nowhere near as good as a proper vaccine and, indeed, compromises immunity for a while.
  * The effectiveness drops off quickly.
  * Boosters are a given.
  * This has all the attributes of a “leaky virus” with all the long-term population health issues that can cause.

  cas, my elderly Mum didn’t enter her code on time so was locked out altogether. There was no way to reapply for a code so I called the 0800 no. at the bottom of the original email. First question, if you’re Maori push 1 so I did and the call was answered almost immediately. Only Mum is Maori but both Mum and Dad will be sent a hard copy of their national and international vax certificates in 3-5 days. All I had to confirm was their names, address and birthdates. Dad is very relieved because he has neither e-mail nor mobile. I would recommend that anyone calling the 0800 number pushes number 1.

  The identity of Jump Kick Man (the guy that kicked Rittenhouse in the head then ran away) has been found and Binger (the ADA) knew who he was all along and didn’t advise the defense.
  
  Turns out it’s a 40 year old black guy who was on probation. He offered to testify if he got immunity for his domestic abuse and drunk driving charges but Binger decided he was too risky so lied in court that he didn’t know who he was.
  
  Judge still has the ability to declare a mistrial with prejudice.
  
  Binger also pointed the rifle at the jury yesterday with his finger on the trigger (after claiming he’d had someone else check it wasn’t loaded). Seriously, that’s a reckless endangerment charge right there.

Another Herald Hit Job. Matt King and Epidemiologist Spoonley are smeared because “the pair discussed ideas common in anti-vax groups.” As is typical of the Herald, it’s not made clear what those dangerous ideas are.

Epidemiologist Rod Jackson, rubbishes his colleague, and says “There is no trial evidence that Ivermectin works in people with Covid – it doesn’t exist. There are trials going on, which is appropriate, but there is no trial evidence,” he told Checkpoint.
“None of the medications – even ones where there’s good evidence – are going to be the ones to stop Covid. You have to stop Covid outbreaks because even if you’ve got some great medicines, you’ll still fill up your hospitals with sick people – as we see all around the world.”

What hold up? Is he saying that the vaccine will stop covid outbreaks and hospitalisation? That seems grossly misleading in light of the highly vaxxed UK/ Europe second wave..

The herald gave no response from Prof Spoonley or Matt King. Only Jackson’s argument was put forward. There is no plurality of ideas or academic contest. There is only smearing and approved thought. Why can’t we see these two academics hash it out and a more nuanced informed discussion…

  The case for Ivermectin is its wide community use in many parts of the world. Those places where it was in use were showing better outcomes. Sometimes medicine is better served by looking at what the people are using. I found my arthritis fix by looking at papers which featured oils in use over 3000 years. That antiquity speaks of their relative safety and usefulness. But they are medicinally useless as not being patentable. I would sooner take the outcome in Uttar Pradesh than the put down by a patent hungry supplier.

Someone on here last week told me I was useless because I was always wrong and changing my views 🙂

I think that was a little harsh. Yes I have been wrong – but I try to follow the best evidence. As I commented on GD today, the CDC is now saying – ‘the evidence keeps changing’.

Well for those who think I am useless here is another thing I was wrong about. Last week I said that the vaccine certificates would not expire. This from a Stuff today:

“Proof of a booster shot is not currently required for My Vaccine Pass but the certificate will only be valid for six months from its issue date.”

Reckoned it was her face, edited onto the body of what appeared to be a MM member. Heavily tattooed with bulldog tatts and ‘Rogue for Life’ across the upper torso. Wearing one of those funny looking steel helmets that the Mob like.
The text referred to Nanaia as ‘Barcode Bertha’ and suggested that NZ will not be credible if represented by her.

My husband just downloaded his Vaccine Pass, it’s a printable version just with his name, DOB and a QR code on it. My question is, will all businesses, shopping malls, and restaurants etc. have some kind of app that allows them to scan the QR code with any smart phone to confirm that the pass is legitimate and belongs to the person presenting it?

Otherwise they are pretty useless.

My gym a well known brand has said members that don’t get vaccinated won’t be allowed in.. OK fair enough. But no refunds whatsoever if you paid upfront.

They are offering transfers to another member. Can they do this? Considering the gym contract doesn’t mention vaccinated only when people signed up before lockdown.

The Government revealed yesterday it had failed to issue or collect invoices worth at least $36 million for MIQ stays.
Priscilla Drummond was first contacted this year about owing $4050 for a MIQ stay, Drummond was shocked and immediately set them straight that she never stayed in a MIQ facility.
But soon after she started receiving calls and texts, at first from MBIE , and then the debt collection agency on behalf.

We know that the passports will only last 6 months but according to Hipkins on NewstalkZB this morning, “no decision has been made” as to if people will need a booster to renew it. It sounds very much like it though.

This statement is often made but seldom (never) with accompanying data/details.
Why is Delta a game changer – it spreads more quickly, although lack of covid testing in the earlier waves makes even this fact hard to prove.
In the UK during the period 1/3/21 to 14/11/21 there was a death rate for ‘confirmed’ covid cases of .37%.
During this period .03% of the UK population died of ‘covid’.
Our nearest neighbour Australia had death rates of .62% for covid cases and .0037% of the population died of ‘covid’ from the 1st August, when cases started to spike.
Also in Australia, the Guardian have highlighted the fact that, cases have continued to fall since restrictions were lifted.

Cold calling kids is not on. Being autistic or not is nothing to do with it.

I understand that these people working in call centres are just “doing their job”, but what they are doing must be pushing the boundary, if not going over the line, as to what is legal.

We got calls a few days back. The person that called my wife was pretty pushy and was, IMHO anyway, giving medical advice – not something an untrained person should be doing.

The person that spoke to me a few minutes later was far less pushy. They probably have different scripts for men vs women, knowing that, on average, women are more compliant than men.

Very good paper which covers a lot of ground, including the pointlessness on vaccinating children over the age of 19 and also claiming COVID-19 vaccines kill five times more people over 65 than they save. Not sure if it had been commented on before but people are talking about it.

A novel best-case scenario cost-benefit analysis showed very conservatively that there are five times the number of deaths attributable to each inoculation vs those attributable to COVID-19 in the most vulnerable 65 demographic. The risk of death from COVID-19 decreases drastically as age decreases, and the longer-term effects of the inoculations on lower age groups will increase their risk-benefit ratio, perhaps substantially.

When this sewage problem at Whangarei was brought up she tried to put the blame on previous governments and then repeated the ABSOLUTE LIE that Middlemore hospital had sewage running down its walls a while ago. Why, oh why do reporters and journalists not do their jobs? It was proven and confirmed by Middlemore that the stains on the walls were merely water damage. She is a disgrace.

Does anyone know if the vax passport will expire from the time it’s issued or from the time you got your second jab? I’m just thinking of holding off until all the f*ckups re this passport are ironed out.

I doubt some establishments will be confronting people re this passport. It’s just not practical, possibly dangerous and some businesses are on their knees from Ardern’s over zealous lockdown of businesses in Auckland and the rest of NZ, so are not going to turn away paying customers.

  I would say from the time you got your jab. Hosking asked Hipkins about it in an interview this morning. Hosking asked what about those who had been jabbed six months ago.
  
  HOSKING: As far as the boosters are concerned, the people who got jabbed early, who are now overdue for their booster and can’t get their booster until the 29th – when they get the certificate, the certificate will give them 6 months but they’re below par aren’t they, in terms of efficacy.
  
  HIPKINS: The certificate framework at the moment we haven’t made decisions about what the requirements around boosters should be for that, so yes, they’ll get a six month certificate initially and then we will have to make some decisions around what the time frame is around boosters to keep their vaccination certificate. People will be able to get their boosters in another week or so.

Finally, someone has done a cost benefit analysis of the impacts of lockdowns on society. It reads totally as expected. Dr John Gibson from Waikato University did write a paper along these lines in the very early days of the “pandemic” but of course it got limited exposure.
He was quoted on the BassetBrashandHide blog.

“our politicians and health bureaucrats will have presided over a fall in life expectancy where there are two million fewer life years than would otherwise be expected. If this loss was fully concentrated on a select group, it is equivalent to 46,000 deaths…. Lockdowns are one of our greatest peacetime policy failures.”

    Some intrepid number crunchers need to look at the changes in numbers for specific diseases over the last few years. For instance if there were fewer in 2020 than say an average for the preceding years then the increase in 2022 can be attributed to lockdowns. However if this increase does not fit that then another cause needs to be found. This might shed some light onto are they covid related or are they vaccine related. Ian Wishart did a Facebook post asking for people to post on losing staff or schools they know losing staff due to the vaccine mandates. No debates, just the facts. School name, teacher numbers, nurses etc..

For example, one of the first comments –

And my midwife (Manawatu – NB I’m not actually pregnant right now thankfully). I’m a naturopath and can’t go into clinic anymore. Two pregnant friends are without midwives, one in Chch and one in Taranaki. I know a school in our area down 17 staff members. Another friend has left her ECE role too.         Not only that she took the opportunity to tell her 7yo pupils it was the governments fault.

Thanksgiving is an American holiday on the fourth Thursday of November (this year November 25), celebrated since 1789.

To mark the national holiday, the Wall Street Journal since 1961 has printed words of a pioneer European settler in which the indigenous Americans are described as “wilde men”.

A person called Randy Kritkausky has launched a petition calling on the newspaper to stop referring to native Americans as “wilde men”. Kritkausky alleges the description is racist.

Kritkausky, a white American in appearance (you can Google an image of him), and apparently with a background in social sciences, has written a book about his spiritual awakening.

About 33000 people a year die in NZ.

During pre-vaccine pandemic most western counties lost about 1 in 500 people. In NZ that would have been about 10000.

But 85-90% of covid deaths are in people with comorbidities. So pre-vax there would only have been about 1000-1500 otherwise healthy people dying of covid.

After the vax (which reduces risk by about 90%) only about 100-150 otherwise healthy people will die. 80%> 65, so perhaps 20-30 healthy (mostly middle aged) working age people would have succumbed.

So healthy vaxxed people who catch covid have something like 10x higher chance of dying in a car crash this year than from covid and they are about 300x more likely to die of something other than covid this year even if they get covid

Covid restrictions are utterly ridiculous, and need to be ended now.

NZ Media have published articles and run surveys proposing that the unvaxxed should be given lower priority for medical treatment.
So in this scenario where does private health insurance fit in. The health insurance companies haven’t asked for our vaccination status. If the public system refuses you or deprioritises you or if the public health system has no more capacity will their be private health care for those that paid?

So the greater Auckland area (Counties, Auckland & Waitemata DHBs) have an average 86% double-dosed rate at present. That makes them 2nd, 3rd & 4th equal in the country for vaccination.

And yet, the people with the most restrictions on their lives are in this area. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? The rest of New Zealand should be in a higher level of restriction than Auckland, while we should have the most freedoms?

        I have met Hendy before and he is an incredibly intelligent guy.
        
        He seems to have very similar qualifications to my hubby…. Hendy doesn’t seem to have produced anything to indicate that he’s anything exceptional.

  Has anyone bothered to question Hendy’s credibility when his first modeling predicted 80,000 deaths if we didn’t do anything but now he says it would only have been 32,000?
  
  Is an approx 50,000 difference considered to be an appropriate margin of error when modeling potential deaths from a health scare??

She may well be under huge stress, but I have no sympathy for her whatsoever.

This weeks Medsafe Report includes 3 new deaths after vaccination. One of those new deaths is in the 10-29 age group bringing the total in this age group to 3. We have seen no media reports of this young death nor analysis.
Medsafe compares these vax deaths to expected death averages during a given week and the number of deaths is not more than expected it is in fact less?! This measure is nonsense. And it’s inconsistent.
Nobody compares covid deaths to expected death rates. Presumably covid deaths are less than expected also as deaths are low overall due to lockdown.. Any death with covid is a covid death.

By chance, some people will experience new illnesses or die from a pre-existing condition shortly after vaccination, especially if they are elderly. Therefore, part of our review process includes comparing natural death rates to observed death rates following vaccination, to determine if there are any specific trends or patterns that might indicate a vaccine safety concern. See below for more information about these observed-versus-expected analyses.

  Yes, for months now the adverse event report has included this statement after the accounting of deaths:
  
  “To date, the observed number of deaths reported after vaccination is actually less than the expected number of natural deaths.”
  
  I think this is a dishonestly misleading statement. It leads the reader to think “well, there can’t be much signal of adverse events in the death counts if the actual number isn’t greater than the expected background pattern”. Yet this ignores the fact that these voluntary reporting systems like VAERS are expected to undercount the real number – even if there is zero effect of the vaccine. You would only expect a number that equaled the background total if you knew that *every* death that occurs coincidentally with vaccination will be reported. The only way you could know this is through a systematic process, not a voluntary one.

  Taking them at their word (ie. assuming they are not lying) there was a lack of information because they are not well known by the medical system.
  
  That is for one reason only: they were very healthy! They were not regularly visiting a GP and were not on meds.
  
  Anyone on meds is seeing a GP every few months and will have extensive medical records.

  IFR for 20-30 year olds is about .02%, but for healthy 20-30 year olds one in 10’s of thousands. For younger it trends to zero (1 in million sort of numbers), there will be some age where the risk of death from myocarditis is higher than the risk of death from covid, particularly for young men/boys without comorbidities, and we are seeing a lot of countries press the pause button on vaccinations for younger people.

  Dr Alanna Ratna from NZDSOS has written a letter to the NZ Medical Council, taking them to task for lack of professionalism etc. She mentions the 9 stillbirths over 2 weeks in Hastings and the 5 teens who died after the Vaxathon (one of them from South Auckland hours after his jab).

My partner, who is German, was talking to a friend in Germany. Said friend is flying to the Dominican Republic in a couple of days to join a cruise. Another friend is currently holidaying in Costa Rica. Both are vaccinated and will not have to isolate upon returning to Germany. Germany is currently reporting about 50,000 cases a day.

  Same with some of my business colleagues in USA, Russia and UK.
  
  The UK colleague has family in USA and UK – geographically dispersed, but close as a family. They’ve been traveling around visiting each other in the last few months – no MIQ.
  
  One of my US colleagues is originally Chinese and is going to visit family back in China for a week. Another is originally German and is traveling to Germany over Christmas – no MIQ.
  
  The Russian just returned from a week’s holiday at his time share in Europe. No MIQ either way.

Medical people who are raising valid concerns are being tarred and feathered. Antibody information is being censored. The full information is not being provided.
4. The mechanisms are not being truthfully explained. The risks are being downplayed.
5. This is not an emergency.

  Every thing I have read about the Pfizer vaccine indicates that a longer period (8-12 weeks) between the 2 jabs confers stronger and longer immunity.
  
  I was timing my jabs to confer maximum effect /protection as Autumn-Winter approaches.
  
  I intended having 2nd vaccination around late Dec- mid January.
  
  Now I will either have to compress the time between the 2 jabs to 3 weeks or turn into a recluse over the Xmas period.
  
  Really makes me wonder why I have been such a compliant law-abiding citizen for all my life when this Government is intent on making out that I am some threat to my fellow citizens.

      Read the Bill of Rights more closely. All the rights are subject to justified limitations, and so far the Courts have found the restrictions and regulations to be justified. In any event, there is no law against breaching the Bill of Rights, so it’s not illegal, just possibly unlawful.
