  The Climate Change Scam is all about the transfer of wealth from the middle classes to Governments via increased taxes and the rich elites through “green washing”. The poor will also suffer.
  At some point the citizens are going to wake up and realise this is the 21st Century’s version of “the Earth is flat” and like that hoax bull shit.

    I think the writing is on the wall for the globull warming/climate change’ scam. The Russo-Ukranian war willl likely lead to food shortages, and problems with the energy sector. Indonesia is not so keen on eporting coal. Add that to possible blackouts in Europe, and Oz. Going ‘green’ is all well and good until the lights go out. Germany has already declared that gas and nuclear are ‘green’. It looks like ‘globull warming’ will go the way of ‘globull cooling’ sooner, rather than later. Good riddance.

    Automatically blocks adverts and trackers

Anyone believe the PM will stick around if the poll trends continue?
If next 2 months confirm Labour are early 30% support and slowly falling…..who really believes she will hang around by Xmas and beyond?
My personal opinion is she ‘absoludly’ hates not being adored, and with COVID gone from front pages the shocking stats keep piling up…..I believe ‘family commitments’ will see her step down. Then a UN move mid to late next year.
Or am I being too fanciful and wrong?

    To elect a new leader without having the hoi polloi involved they have to go within 3 months of the election or the winner has to get 2/3s of the caucas vote.
    If she wants to go early she’ll have to get the numbers for her favorite well organised.
    Also Labour has a lot of lives and small businesses to wreck before the election, will she want to risk this with an early electrician?

      If the PM was passing through Wellington airport while the Australian Foreign Minister was here this week she will be green with envy. There was an Australian executive jet parked outside the airport RNZAF hanger. I imagine it was Penny Wong’s VVIP transport.

      Very nice indeed. With one of those our PM could do Wellington – London with only one refuelling stop. Robbo will be getting pestered I should imagine to find the money from his slush fund.

  I think you’re bang on the money. Her adoring public is what makes her feel secure. She is actually a very flawed and vulnerable person. Not suitable for her role at all, she lacks resilience at her core.
  That’s before we even look at her actual performance. Her skill set is in communications and that shows. The only area she has been successful has been in creating the myth of her success and kindness that is still believed by too many who are blinded to facts because they myopically accept everything her information machine generates.
  Pretty much every promise they made has failed.
  This is probably the most useless government we’ve ever had. Certainly in my memory. There will be no lasting legacy to this government, just a wreckage that then next one will have to start fixing.

    Various ‘experts’ are calling a turnaround in the economy this year or next. No sign yet. But regardless the next election will have to herald some austerity and Labour is hardly going to campaign on that. A Nat/ACT government will have some reason to tighten a few belts once the books are opened and Labour says ‘we lost, you won, guess we have to eat that’.
    
    National required Ministers to do a line by line budget review back in the day, and find I think at least 10% savings. Should be easy enough, although 10% might not be enough this time.

  Surely by the time her daughter turns 5 she will have to remain in Wellington for her to go to school (the daughter although maybe Cindy can retake some lessons).   Saw her in the airport yesterday with Neve. She really doesn’t strike as an enthusiastic leader. Poor posture, body language that screams “hide me” etc. before she was even Labour leader I was sat next to her on a plane. I tried to strike up some idle chat (this was before I knew exactly how poisonous she is) and she was surly and not the least bit interested. She might have been having a bad day but every time I see her in airports she always exudes the same tone. Contest that with John Key who seemed to have natural charisma and confidence and is naturally gregarious and chatty.

    Occasionally sat next to David Lange on Akld/Wgtn and vv as I commuted for a while on a Monday and Friday.
    He was great to talk to although he knew our views we different.
    Was capable of laughing too as did not take himself too seriously somtimes – when we dropped into Palmy as Wgtn closed and the coach broke down half way.

I wish that the Foreign Affairs Minister would explain in plain language the meaning and implications of an “indigenous foreign policy”.

It is worth watching this joint press conference. Ms Mahuta read a prepared statement. It is quite noticeable that she becomes breathless reading it. In contrast, while glancing at some notes, Penny Wong spoke naturally and without reading a prepared speech.

The LGBTQ activits have come from far and near to protest and cause trouble at Bethlehem College in Tauranga. The media poodles followed them smelling controversy. The college has a Christian philosophy.

The same media have been chasing several Christian churches lately with stories of staff harrassment and overwork stories. Gloriavale is in the gun again with threats of boycotts.

Open season on Christians??? Would they run stories on Muslims who indulged in any such misdemeanours?

      If there ever was an ‘islamic cult’, in the mould of Glorivale, then rest assured they would never ever keep quiet like you mention Glorivale has been….Islam is in the business of conquest and converting countries and people.

        I spent a couple of months working in Jakarta. In the office were quite a few Christians.
        Indonesia is 86% Muslim
        I certainly wasn’t hassled by anyone and as the people in the office weren’t either. I made a point of asking. I was told that there was problems in the country, but out in the countryside.
        Here in NZ is far worse.
        We’ve had Mormon and Seventh Day Adventists regularly knocking on the door here. The latter come round and regularly pester my wife, bringing with them a Thai woman, who also leaves letters in the letter box every few weeks.

        I’m right: Ah, No…they don’t need to be 10% for “things to change”…2% is the first tipping point; when they get to 2% the demands start, for special arrangements for Muslims such as separate hours at swimming pools, much larger government funded houses so they can keep the sexes separate, harassment of “immodestly” dressed women etc.
        
        At 5% terrorism begins, with attacks often carried out by the children of the “moderate” Muslims western societies have generously taken in. Check the Muslim population of every western country which has suffered Islamic terror: in every case the Muslim population is 5% or more.

  Seriously there seems to be no pluralism in NZ today. Should the state be able to tell a Christian school to no longer be Christian? That homosexuality trumps all?
  
  Remember that Bethlehem college is a Christian school, that’s its identity, and everyone enrolling for the school knows that.
  
  Should trans/ homosexual activists like the fellow Shaneel Lal be in charge of the country now? It seems that they are. The government can now tell the church by law what to pray according to the conversion therapy Bill. The media follows him /they and Christian schools are supposed to bow down. Are they supposed to give up being Christian? Sad.

      If that were the case, Crusaders and Canterbury teams would have run out of turns many years ago. In actuality, referees and other officials are always giving the edge to Cantabs, probably on the theory that if the yokels down there had no rugby there would be nothing to live for in that wasteland. This also connects with the reason why all taxpayers will eventually be buying Christchurch a stadium – because they ‘deserve it’.

    It’s called ‘special character’ Mikey, and why so many integrated schools have significant waiting lists of children whose parents want them to escape the clutches of poorly performing state schools. I well recall how the teacher unions in the 1970s wanted open entry to Catholic integrated schools – not restricted to just Catholic children- until it dawned on them that there would be no pupils left in state schools. Parents would desert state schools in favour of the superior values- based education offered in integrated schools. That’s when the 5% non- Catholic cap was placed on them.

  I went to a series of Catholic schools (or Roman Catholic schools as they were referred to in those days).
  A couple of things stick in my mind.
  We were instilled with a very anti Protestant view of Irish history & to a large extent UK history.
  The Church operated on mind control. We were told what to think and to deviate was sinful.
  I remember in Christian Doctrine class one day when one of the boys asked a curly question. The teacher, a priest, obviously didn’t know, because there was no logical answer, so he said we must take it on faith.
  Various religions are chokka blok full of stuff that must be taken on faith, which gives the leaders control over their adherents.

Andrew Little say’s the government is doing all it can to address the crisis in our Health System. Maybe he should first acknowledge a main part of the crisis is of his governments making.
How many nurses and/or doctors have lost their roles due to Covid Vaccine mandates, how many existing hospital/rest home staff had to leave due to immigration issues, how many nurses have been poached from rest homes to cover DHB’s resulting in rest home closures, how many Ministry of Health bureaucrats are focusing on saving their arses with roles in the new health authorities and not managing the current DHB’s.
In Dr Shane Reti, National have an excellent Health Minister in waiting and should be using Dr Shane at every opportunity to get stuck into Little from a national health basis. We all know Little has a short fuse, and once lite, it wouldn’t take long for little too loose it to the governments detriment.

Tucked at the bottom of an article about a Spanish town’s experience of banning cars from its medieval layout centre is the casual announcement that Wgtn will pedestrianise the Golden Mile at a cost of $80m. Apparently, Wellingtonians voted for it.

Frankly, it’s just unnecessary. Few cars feature on those roads anyway; all it will do is accelerate the departure of business.

Biking fanatics compare Wellington to selected cities like Amsterdam. They never compare it to bombed out cities like Newcastle NSW, where the city centre is boarded up.

Are these people “influencers”?

The ASA (ad authority) says “Influencers must disclose content as advertising if they have an on-going relationship with the brand. If an influencer is posting content for which they are a paid ambassador, salesperson, or receive affiliate discounts, this is considered advertising and should be disclosed as such.”

Should they disclose any funding from govt, gates foundation or drug companies? What if it’s not to the person directly but through their organisation?

“Critically unsafe” working conditions are causing prison staff to leave in droves, their union claims, with nearly 800 Corrections jobs unstaffed – almost one-fifth of the full-time frontline workforce.
In a letter to Corrections chief executive Jeremy Lightfoot, the union warned it wouldn’t be long before another prison officer dies. It claimed leadership had failed staff and dragged their heels on a plan to address violence towards workers.
I’d have though the solution was fairly easy. Get Kelvin to release more prisoners back into the community. That policy has worked a treat so far, and it would certainly take the pressure off the staff if they had fewer people to look after. //

Many incidents with a political connection has happened of late, even in the last two or three days.

Eg Newshub last night ran stories on Hospital staffing in crisis (health), school teaching staffing crisis (education), violent smash and grab at a jewelers caught on camera (crime), gdp negative growth over the last quarter (finance), Labour Party President Claire Szabo unexpectedly steps down etc.

Normally when these sorts of “crisis” happen the nations media seek interviews with the Prime Minister.

But our dear part-time Prime Minister is no-where to be seen nor heard of.

What is going on from the MSM perspective – why the lack of attempt to hold the country’s most powerful person to account?

What is going on from the Prime Minister’s perspective – why is she always vanishing into ‘witless protection” and avoiding her duty to speak to the nation on these important matters?

Why does the MSM think it is “acceptable” to not even run that narrative and openly question what is going on?

Why does the Labour Party this it is “acceptable” to allow this behavior to happen? What are they (the Labour Party)? Scared (of having the PM comment on “bad news” issues)? Manipulative (hiding the PM)? Dishonest (about the PM’s abilities)?

Whatever the reasons, Labour and the PM is not serving the people’s best interests of our country.

Perhaps it is time for the PM to step down and let someone else more capable from Labour to lead?

  Not sure long covid actually exists. Probably an excuse for some people to get time off work.
  
  Sometimes I get a cold or whatever in winter and after it’s all finished I don’t feel like going for a run for a week or two, does this mean I had long cold and should have been terrified my whole life? Of long cold?
  
  After I had covid, which was milder than a cold I went running again straight away, felt fine, still do. Many people were telling me not to as this foolish activity could bring on the ‘long covid’. I call bullshit on this. Some people get sicker than others and the after effects are worse. That’s life, it’s how it’s always been. Nothing special about covid in this regard.
  
  I do see silly Cindy in the news today talking to ‘experts’ about making masks compulsory in schools again . Now most people are over covid and not wearing masks anywhere….I wonder what that pending dumb decision will do to her pool numbers…..Labour on 22% instead of the expected 25% next poll maybe.

  Monkeypox is sort of not going to work for Jaspinda, after the last moneymaking hoax.
  Covid is another form of influenza, some die, some just sniff a bit. The number of Covid deaths rise with age.
  I am 70 soon, I may die of Covid, even though I may have had it and get it again from a pseudo vaccine. But I am not 80, or 90 yet. Those older die with but not with COVID!

  The wife and I turned off the TV seven years ago and only use the screen to watch the occasional video. Too many commercials and indoctrination videos.
  
  We prefer to get our news from websites such as aljazeera that to my knowledge are not paid by the current government to represent their ideas.
