      The DoJ will charge Trump. There is too much evidence from 6th January hearings. Remember the 4 charges were only those that both parties could agree too.
      
      The DoJ have the opportunity to add charges, and all of this will be a distraction for Trump if he runs in 2024.

    The GOP is in a rather difficult position.
    
    Whatever you think of Trump, he still commands a large percentage of the Right vote, and the GOP still hasn’t figured out how to divest themselves of Trump, while retaining his supporters.
    
    A criminal trail, and conviction, might just be the best way of achieving this, especially if they maintain that the process has been (according to the GOP) partisan.
    
    This way, the GOP can be seen as fighting for Trump, while not having to deal with him as a candidate.

      However, as has been pointed out many times since November, Trump is now costing the GOP votes. This included only just squeaking control of the House of Representatives and failing to take control of the Senate. Note good when the Democrats are under pressure.
      
      So to all Trumpsters, may be you need to read the tea leaves again, and work out who will be leading the GOP in 2024, because I do not see how it will be Trump.

    Nancy fucking Pelosi. Trump wanted 10 to 20 thousand National Guard Troops. Nancy stopped it. Why? She knew the infiltration was going to happen.
    BLM, Proud Boys, Antifa. Jake Angeli (idiot with the horns) Many more, including the FBI. These people infiltrated the Trump supporters and the Media immediately branded them as Trump rioters. Trump supporters do not behave like that.
    Pelosi knew she would be able to pin this on Trump – all in the plan to stop Trump running in 2024. Pelosi is evil.

    I would like to see DeSantos stay in Florida. He has said to his fundraising donors that he will not run for POTUS if Trump runs.
    Who for VP? There is a woman I like. Very smart, but she lacks actual Political experience. Candace Owens.
    Others could run for VP. Kari Lake, now there is a Patriot fighter. Many others who could, but they are doing a good job where they are. Jim Jordan, Rand Paul.

    If potential voters are ask to chose between Trump and DeSantis, more chose DeSantis.
    If the question is between a larger feild of potential candidates Trump leads.
    This most likely means Trump has some sticky support whereas DeSantis has supporters who are anybody but Trump.

But seriously, how much provocation do you expect the Russians to put up with? It was becoming embarrassing for them. The more the neocons in the US got away with without retaliation, the more they ramped it up.
        
        That speech from McCain and Graham is all you need to watch to understand why the devastation of the last year has occurred. Imagine Russian politicians visiting Cuba and making those comments? We would already be in WW3 and we’re getting closer to it with the ongoing weapons and intelligence support coming from the US and NATO.
        This is seen as an existential threat by Russia. This is not geopolitical gamesmanship this time.

  Swiftly, the answer is under investment in roads. Something that began pre-Covid. It can be laid at the feet of Julie Ann Genter (Parking Cinsultant).
  
  Funds were being diverted for pet rail and cycle projects. Then along came Covid & funds were and continue to be spent on anything but roading. Add on top damage caused to roads by storms, cutting fuel duty, half price fares, and the soon to be introduced community connect scheme, and the pot for maintenance becomes very empty, very quickly.
  
  The solution to the shortage of funds for road maintenance is then to delay essential maintenance even further into the future. The problem with this is scheduled riad maintenance becomes essential after periods of prolonged wet weather. Plus the rising cost of oil means the cost of bitumen rises, making any road maintenance more expensive, meaning less work can be done.
  
  So, in summary the state of NZ roads is a result of politics and poor economic management.

  You would have thought they would have learned better tricks from the oil industry. Nobody talks about cobalt’s use as a catalyst or in fact is use is not talked about in the tool steel industry.
  
  Its recovered as a by-product of mining the ores of iron, nickel, copper, manganese, silver, zinc and others in China, Canada, and Russia with the problem child being DRC no pun intended.
  The stupid way electric vehicles are marketed has left the industry open to finger pointing, often funded by those just as guilty. While pathetic point scoring is going on nothing is done about the problem of what the DRC are doing to its children.
  
  I have over 40 kilowatt hours of solar storage in lithium batteries and not a gram of cobalt.

  Australia is the world’s third-biggest supplier of cobalt, and last year alone produced 5,600,000 tonnes. It also has the second-largest cobalt reserves in the world, and production is tipped to increase by more than 5% each year for the next 5 or 6 years.
  
  Australian-mined cobalt is generally recognised as “clean cobalt” so my advice is to get off YouTube and start researching some facts.

    Australia is third in production, the way I read it they produced 5,600 metric tonnes last year. The DRC produced 120,000 metric tonnes. Over 20 times what Australia managed.
    Australia’s RESERVES are 1.4 million metric tonnes. The DRC reserves are 3.5 million metric tonnes. That’s information all from your source.
    
    Who produces the bulk of the world’s batteries do you think? How much does “clean” cobalt cost to produce compared to the kid mined stuff? Why do you think China and the US are over there trying to win them over? Its not because they care. In this instance they are as “kind and caring” as Brenda.
    
    Your link also points to studies showing that if the current demands for cobalt keep rising at present rates, EV manufacturers will be closing down due to lack of supply by 2030. More of those inconvenient laws of unintended (but entirely predictable) consequences.
    
    I’m simply pointing out the hypocrisy of “greenies” facing the planet while ignoring the facts in front of them. 70% is currently produced using totally unethical and abhorrent methods. I imagine their cobalt is a shit load cheaper to produce than Australia’s.
    
    Also even IF Australia ramped up to match DRC output, their total reserves would be gone in a decade. The demand for DRC cobalt isn’t going away any time soon.
    
    Most important point of all is, there aren’t enough resources to replace the current vehicles on the planet using current technology. It all points back to Klaus and Co and their marvelous reset.
    
    My criticism above is about the hypocrisy of the green movement. The abhorrent practices in the DRC was just a tragic side comment.

        Some of the lithium problems come from the pouch style batteries using different chemistry.
        
        I cant comment on any other than my experience with lifepo4 cells. Some early sets have 1200 cycles on them with no noticeable degradation. Those who have used the cells for longer suggest calendar ageing will be their limiting factor.
        They do need good management though. Easy to build big capacity safe batteries with the gear available nowadays. Gone are the hobby 18650 cell power walls.

If I asked any real cricket fan at all about a T20 that happened last year in Pakistan or India (or NZ, Aus or England for that matter), they’d never be able to remember virtually any match. However, if I said Eng v Aus, Headingly 1981 (Botham 149, Willis 8-43 after following on), India v Aus, Madras 1986 (tie), India v Aus, Calcutta 2001 (VVS 281 following on), West Indies v Aus, Barbados 1998/99 (Lara 153* to win), cricket aficionados remember. Even when it comes to batting for instance, no one will remember an outstanding T20 player.       No Mike. You are wrong. 8 tonne (actually 8200kg) axles have been around maybe 50-60 years and is still the limit without an overweight license. Many of the trucks have less than 8 tonne axle weights when fully loaded. They allowed trucks to go from 40 to 46 tonnes but they needed the extra axle. That meant the loading per axle dropped.

    One of the reasons why old roads lasted was the MWD used to grade very big gravel shoulders/ berms on the sides of roads. The subbase down to about 600mm has to stay out of the water table. If it doesn’t, the sponginess and axle weights will allow movement in the coating and surface causing cracks. Roadmaking 101.
    Over recent years, the sides of the roads haven’t been maintained. They also reprofiled the cambers as drivers weren’t competent enough to pull to the side without rolling. Grass now grows right to the edge of the seal. So water gets in. How often in the wet have you seen swampy conditions roadside. That will be potholes in six months’ time.
    No use fixing potholes without fixing the shoulders. But no doubt NZTA will have road cones for Africa and all the supervision staff have the correct pronouns. No competence in road making and the roading manuals have to be read, not looked at on a utube video. Can’t have everything can we?

Maori population portion is about 17 percent
To make that equal to 50 percent, multiply by 3
(equals 51, close enough)

Non Maori 83 percent multiply by 0.6
(gives 49.8, close enough too)

So for “co-governance”, 50-50, Maori have 3 votes each
Non-Maori have 0.6 each

So a Maori vote is 5 times 1 non-Maori vote
(of course just divide 3 by 0.6)

So “CO-GOVERNANCE” = IWI 5, KIWI 1

  Fair point, but I think the real position is worse than that. My understanding is that Maori get to participate in the “democratic” 50% in addition to the “apartheid” 50%. So 83% of the population get 41.5% of the representation. I’m fairly confident this is how it is intended to work in the end game. For example Maori will have full control of the upper house, but will still be able to elect members of parliament (and that will probably still have Maori seats).

  You got the Maths wrong. They only count Maori on the Maori roll as proper Maori. They are the only ones allowed to vote for Maori council members. All those on the general roll (probably National/ Act voters) aren’t allowed into the process.

WTH is happening with eggs?
– Did masses of people really go to the government and food suppliers and lobby for them to get rid of cage and colony eggs? Or did the government listen to some fricken human-hater and their incessant bleating?
– Did we really say that we’d prefer to pay 2-3 (or more) times the usual rate for our eggs (when they were available at all)?
– What are egg suppliers going to do? As it stands, it appears that many would rather give up than try and comply with the new regs/requirements (“some farmers who had already switched to colony cages decided to leave the industry, he said”).

Notes to any incoming government that replaces the current shit show:
1) The people want a decent standard of living.
2) You can help give us that by ensuring we have cheap energy.
2a) Wind and solar sources do _not_ result in cheaper energy bills. They have the opposite effect. I can help with the maths if the sums get a bit tricky.
3) You can help by working to get food prices _down_. Promising to cut farmers’ production by 20-30% will not bring prices down. Ruining the egg industry will not help either.

• Why is more information, even daily rates of infection and other data, not more available than weekly?
• When was the last covid ad on tv?

        The anti-virals pre-date Covid and do appear to provide some assistance when infected by a virus. Sometimes, they speed recovery. They are a bit hit and miss. Mostly, they’ve been around long enough and have not had an abbreviated testing regime. The fact they know the interactions is a strong indicator of established drugs.

  Covid infections are being driven by vaccination. This was warned about before the programme began, it’s not conclusive yet, but all evidence is ringing many alarm bells indicating that the more you jab, the more negative the outcome.
  
  there is clearly something very wrong going on with the covid vaccines. if ever they reduced spread or contraction of covid, they now seem to multiply it.
  
  if ever they reduced all cause mortality (not proven at all in their approval studies) they now seem associated with higher society scale mortality rates and these rates appear persistent.
  
  it’s time the health agencies, especially those with really good data like in the UK, sweden, israel, etc, stopped playing “hide the ball” and started releasing all cause mortality data stratified by vaccine status.
  
  if these hypotheses are inaccurate, then let’s put them to bed. i really do not want to see this outcome proven out. it’s objectively awful and the ramifications would be horrific. but given that health officials, especially in the US are still pushing these products aggressively, if this is going on, we need to know. this is not something you want to be in the dark about.
  
  Yet our health “experts” refuse to acknowledge the problems and refuse to permit genuine debate and discussion.

Hmmm, is there really a problem with people placing an acc claim? I’ve never had to fill one out, go to the gp, tell him what happened, 10 minutes later I realise he has done an acc because I get a text from acc approving the claim

The political year often ends in a rush, with tired politicians racing to get their projects done before the summer.
