A book entitled “How Authorities Have Lied to Me” would be a poor seller. Not because the ample content wasn’t concerning, but more for the fact the book would be outdated immediately on publication as evidence of further lies came to light the following day. This comment highlights one of those lies, and it relates to the notion of so-called ‘hot’ vaccine batches which I’ve followed for a while.

Throughout the carefully stage-managed pandemic we were fed the narrative that the amazing, novel vaccines would save humanity. That they were Safe and Effective™, and everyone must take them because reasons. Against that backdrop, researchers in Denmark have turned up a rather alarming discovery: The EU vaccine batches fell into three distinct harm/injury groups : zero adverse events(yellow; amazing!), 1 adverse event in every 400 doses(green; bad), and 1 adverse event in every 10 doses(blue; extinction-level bad).

These are statistically implausible variances and suggest that while two sets of batches were formulations of differing toxicities, the other set of batches, accounting for 30% of all plunged shoulders and 0% of adverse reactions, contained placebo doses. Given what we know about Pfizer and BioNTech (The Bill Gates ‘lucky timing’ 1000% return on investment company) it is not surprising that they would use the vast public deployment of their product as a testing ground. Billions of unwitting human lab rats, some lucky to get saline, others not so lucky.

But here is the bit that really baked my noodle. Researchers uncovered that the German government conducted almost no pre-rollout quality control testing on the zero risk batches, but full quality control testing on the harmful batches. Think about that for a minute. It is difficult to escape the conclusion that their government knew in advance which batches were placebos, and which were not, using this information to not waste time looking for manufacturing imperfections in the saline batches. This type of malfeasance is why I now choose to disbelieve anything I’m told by public officials generally, and health authorities specifically, until such time as I have tested the veracity of their claims though independent sources. The more alarming the claim, and the more urgent/serious the response expected from me, the more I distrust the assertion.

At one time curiosity killed the cat. Curiosity now keeps this cat alive, and sane.

  NZ govt and political establishment just blindly accepted orders from global bodies on the lockdowns and the garbage jaxx. NZ govt turned feral on anyone who questioned the jaxx. Brain washed a substantial number of New Zealanders to turn on the unjaxxed and those who questioned the mandates.

      Suggestions…
      
      Contact your local National/Act candidate and ask them what you can do to help their campaigns.
      
      Meet up with “change the government” KBers in your area to pool talent and resources.
      
      Donate your time and or money to the political party of your choice.
      
      Do not waste your vote on any party other than National and/or ACT.
      
      Advocate for a change to our parliamentary system which prevents corrupt MPs from putting our money into their back pockets again (Citizen’s referenda is my preferred solution).
      
      Insist that Ashley Bloomfield, Grant Robertson, Chris Hipkins, and Jacinda Adern are investigated for lying to our fine nation about medsafe’s report on the safety and efficacy of the MRNA jab.
      
      Insist on a forensic audit of all government spending and an investigation into the wealth and sources of income of the Labour Hierarchy
      
      There is a reason the Labour Hierarchy poisoned an entire nation, effectively killing tens of thousands of Kiwis.

        Why should I? They have aided and abetted this travesty, they have not acknowledged that it was wrong, they have not acknowledged the injured and the families of the dead and, last but not least, they are going along with the sham investigation into the covid response thus ensuring that those responsible are not prosecuted. They do not represent me and I can imagine at least 30% of New Zealanders, although there are those who will vote for either as they are not Labour.
        
        How hard can it be to acknowledge that what was done was wrong and promise to legislate that never again will New Zealand citizens have to endure this attack on bodily autonomy and individual sovereignty? I have my suspicions as to why.

        Neither act nor national were responsible for NZs covid response. Adern and labour were
        
        Neither Luxon nor seymour profited from poisoning a nation. Adern and her pals did.
        
        I’d be very surprised if national or act were givn the medsafe report to read by the most open and transperant government ever.
        
        I sought MRNA advice from a senior Dr who also advises the national party and he told me to get the jab.
        
        And most importantly of all, if you’d like to see the perpetrators of NZs covid response crime held to justice, national and act are your only chance.
        
        National and act will only take action against the NZ covid fraudsters if enough people like you kick up a stink.
        
        Whinging on kiwiblog, holding everyone responsible for Adern and labours actions, and taking an idealistic approach will achieve nothing!
        
        And besides, after our last exchange, I pointed out the policies you champion are Nationals policies so I thought you’d have gone blue by now.

        Not sure about Act. Seymour is still claiming the vaccines didn’t kill anyone, COVID did. Even the MoH admit at least 5 that were probably vax deaths.
        I won’t be voting for anyone making statements like Seymour is.

        Mark – thank you for a respectful reply. There are others who would not be so.
        
        I generally follow up on my posts and when you asked what I would do I checked up on my reply and there was none. BTW – not all I suggested is anywhere near what “centre-left” National would do.
        
        I cannot imagine that the leader of the opposition would go along with something like curtailing the public’s right to peaceful protest (which it was) without being fully informed and having questioned the premise. If Luxon and Seymour did without that then they are both fools and I would not want them to get anywhere near premiership of a country I live in.
        
        I suggest that the “senior” doctor who advises the National Party did not do his homework. Any doctor knows that medications, especially new technology, needs to be thoroughly tested before generalised public roll out (this was not), he should have known about the existing pandemic plan put in place for such an occasion while further knowledge was accumulated, that ordinary surgical masks are used for splash protection and to prevent bacterial contamination of surgical wounds, and even the most superficial reading into respiratory viral pandemics would have exposed the fraud being imposed on us. His advice was not good.
        
        The fact that neither Luxon nor Seymour will address the greatest attack on our freedom ever and the harm caused by the response to Covid, even at this late stage, speaks volumes.
        
        I have always voted Nat or Nat/ACT (I live in Seymour’s electorate) but I feel a great disappointment in and anger towards them because of their failure in the greatest challenge they are ever likely to face . The least they could do is address it.

      *cheap power is a start so abandon the highly ruinous climate scam.
      Electrify NZ The next National Government will cut red tape to drive a surge of investment in renewable electricity generation so New Zealand can double its supply of affordable, clean energy and become a lower emissions economy. NB: Hydro I clean renewable energy.
      
      * Tell the UN to get stuffed as far as the migration compact is concerned.
      National Party leader Simon Bridges said if his party was in government, it would pull out of the compact because of its potential to restrict New Zealand’s ability to set its own migration and foreign policy.
      
      Stop paying useless drones to sit at home and smoke weed.
      National’s policy: Sanctions and incentives
      Young Jobseekers who fail to undertake agreed activities in their plan will face sanctions from MSD, such as money management or benefit reductions. To assist community providers in reducing long-term benefit dependency, National will also introduce a bonus payment of $1000 for under 25-year-olds who have been on the Jobseeker benefit for longer than a year, who find work and remain off benefit for 12 months.
      
      * Allow a fully capitalist system with minimal government interference and reduce taxes to about 25%.
      – Are you advocating stopping pension payments?
      Stop providing lifelong housing to those who feel entitled to it.
      National: In 2013, the National-led government introduced reviewable tenancies through the introduction of Social Housing Reform (Housing Restructuring and Tenancy Matters Amendment) Act 2013. The ethos behind this policy was that social housing should be available for those in highest need, for the duration of that need. This superseded the earlier ‘state home for life’ policy introduced from around the 1950s.
      The reviewable tenancies process was designed to assess existing tenancies against criteria relating to affordability, accessibility and sustainability, and to shift households deemed ineligible for social housing into private housing, with reviews to occur at least every 3 years.
      
      You cannot do anything that Labour cannot undo.
      
      * Reduce the Public sector by introducing performance goals ….. and get rid of those who do not achieve them. Simple.
      
      16 March 2012: The National-led Government has set 10 challenging results for the public sector to achieve over the next five years. Ministers and a public sector chief executive have been appointed to lead each result and will be accountable for demonstrating real progress against his or her result.

        MAWN. If your basis for criticizing a Party is that they will not do any of the things the say they will do, then you are in a hopeless position my friend.
        
        So instead, do you then vote for a party with the worst policies (like racial privilege) because they will not carry out any of the promises they made?
        
        Or vote for a party/leader which publishes a lot of policies and a fully costed budget, but has a track record of one successful piece of legislation (supported by a referendum ) in 9 years in the hope that next time will be different?
        
        Or do you vote for a charlatan WHO FIRST ENTERED PARLIAMENT IN 1979 in the hope that this time he will finally get rid of the maori seats?

      Idealistic standoffs and telling us who you will not vote for will achieve nothing.
      
      Your best bet in politics/voting/and often life is to choose the least worse option.
      
      Clan, My reading of the situation is National are being very careful to not give anything the despicable NZ media can latch on to.
      
      I can’t imagine vilifying Adern over covid will draw the all important (deluded, insular, and not so bright) middle class female back to National.
      
      Whilst I agree with the issue you raise daily on KB. Once you raise the issues, repeating them provides diminishing returns.
      
      Using your time and effort to devise solutions and to encourage change will bring much better results including satisfaction and happiness.
      
      Your only chance of a full covid review with accompanying consequences is to ensure national and act get strong support.
      
      Whilst there is no guarantee nat / act will take action. I asked Hyde and Garrett here on KB for their solutions to Adern’s lies and self enrichment and their resulting silence was deafening.
      
      There is certainty none of the minor parties will get into parliament and even if they do their influence will be zero.
      
      And there is certainty that the Labour Party / Greens / Maori Party maintaining power will ruin our country once and for all.

  Dr Sucharit Bhakdi was one of the first to speak out against lockdowns, masks and the rushed ‘vaccine’. In this interview in from April he:

      Master Mariner – none of the interventions resulted in a positive outcome. Masks, lockdowns, mandates, passports and vaccines were all hugely expensive wastes of time that caused more harm than good.
      
      Every one of them. There is nothing positive that can be said about any of the responses by the NZ government, along with most other governments. With the exception of Sweden and possibly the authorities in Uttar Pradesh.

        Most people have a naive assumption that the powerful (whether the public faces of the politicians or that more opaque class who sponsor and control politicians using their vast wealth and influence) have the non-powerful’s best interests at heart. Because this is the assumption, the non-powerful usually do what they are told by Power. The reality is that Power hates us, or at the very best, they are indifferent to us.       Not only were they a failure, but they (lockdowns) simply should never have been allowed. It should not be possible for politicians to decide for us that we are no longer free.
      i.e. free to travel, free to gather, free to speak, free to protest – you know, all those things ‘free’ people do.
      
      As shown by what their efforts have done to us, they (politicians) simply aren’t up to the job, and (as usual) the consequences of such draconian measures weren’t worth the alleged benefits we were told we were going to get.

        This isn’t the first posting of this quote, by Frank Zappa hit the bullseye with this observation about the illusory nature of freedom:
        
        “The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”
        
        In other words, it serves the interests of Power for the people to believe that they are truly free, when in reality it is a facade that will be removed when it has served its purpose.

        Even today, I, as an unvaccinated non-person cannot join an old folks 8 day tour of New Zealand. The firm will not accept my money. I am, as far as I know, the only person in this retirement village who has not caught covid or the flu or taken to my bed with a fever. Woe is me!! The decision not to be jabbed was entirely political but I have never regretted it.

  I personally felt the only way they could ‘meet demand’ was by producing salt-water. Imagine being able to produce a ‘vaccine’ in months and then produce enough of them to service – the world?

    One of the objections to Darwin’s Theory of Evolution when first published was that, despite the overwhelming evidence that evolution had occurred, Darwin could not identify the mechanism by which bodily changes were initiated in individuals and then preserved across generations. That took genetics.
    
    Likewise, Continental Drift was an interesting speculation supported by plausible evidence, but became widely accepted as Tectonic Plate Theory only after mapping the Mid-Atlantic Ridge convincingly revealed a mechanism producing that drift. (At least, I think that’s what happened. Oil exploration probably contributed too. Corrections from geologists are welcome.)
    
    A major difficulty for sceptics with God’s works is that, on the evidence so far, they are indistinguishable from stuff happens.

You now have a sitting President who will argue ‘Gun Control’ and ‘Tax the Rich’ when the evidence is mounting he’s influenced the judiciary to overlook his son’s gun crimes and tax-evasion for foreign money acquired by brokering deals using Biden Senior’s political influence an ‘The Big Guy’.

  Lee, you mention Fox ‘doing journalism’ but to what extent? Dropping Tucker because he crossed the line drove the man into the arms of Elon Musk and Twitter. This of course had an immediate effect on Fox (save Gutfeld) when they saw falling viewership and they scrambled to re-arrange their evening lineup. It is obvious Murdoch, and more so his son Lachlan, who set limits as to how far his hosts can venture, especially in the Covid/Pfizer area.   After 8 years of intensive investigations into Trump, from every angle and concerning all aspects of his life, all the Deep State have been able to find is a barely interesting matter concerning some documents he had in his possession. That’s it. Who cares? This is all they could find, and they’ve had to stretch it to its limits and draw it out into a “case” against Trump.
  
  The conclusion of all this investigation and non-evidence is that Trump is likely the most upright and above board US politician of the last 100 years. The Clintons, Obama and Bush probably still have “classified documents” next to their dunnies for a bit of light reading. They could go after any public figure they wanted and find more damning evidence, but nobody else is a threat to the system and its grip on power than Trump is.         What is “neo-Fascism” and why should someone not be devoted to it, whatever it may be? I wouldn’t describe myself as a fascist at all, although there are compelling arguments in its favour, arguments that we are all encouraged to never investigate lest they undermine our ruling ideology liberalism. All political ideologies are fundamentally justifications for the current ruling class. I think they all need to be analysed and critiqued on their merits, not on the say so of self-interested parties. Some may be better than others, but that’s for me to decide, not you or anyone else.
        
        What I am is intellectually curious and intellectually honest enough and not brainwashed into unquestioning adherence to liberal dogma to see that there are deep fundamental issues with liberalism that are increasingly manifest, and that there are other organising principles. From a historical perspective, something approaching “fascism” is the historical norm, rather than the exception.

  (In NZ’s case we also have so-called Treaty Principles being reinterpreted way too far, to contend with – but that’s another story).

This is an appalling decision.

It speaks to the urban rural divide in NZ

It speaks to the weakness of NZ’s justice system, where there is scant justice for the victims of crime, but the perpetrators are forgiven their crimes and can move on with their lives, because it took 2 years for the system to prosecute the guilty.

It speaks to the failures of the system to prosecute perpetrators because the system couldn’t pin the blame of the specific crime on the one who fired the arrow. Both were present, both knew what they were doing, both should be found equally guilty of the crimes.

This decision sets bad precedents on so many levels. This says there are few consequences for criminals, because time and the failures of the system can see all washed away.

Judge Tony Greig opened each hearing by offering a chance for karakia.
The level of involvement in the attack varied between the men, and some were jailed while the rest were given home detention. What was mostly consistent were the bumper discounts applied to the sentences.
The judge accepted gang culture for Rupapera-McRoberts provided “something positive in his life, something otherwise missing”.
“But wanting to inflict serious injuries upon someone because they’re wearing the colour red is the downside of gang culture,” he said.
From a start point of four years and six months’ jail, Rupapera-McRoberts was given credit for his guilty pleas, youth and lack of previous convictions, remorse, background factors and time spent on electronically monitored bail. An end sentence of 22 months’ imprisonment was converted to 11 months of home detention.

This statement cemented to me that she is an outright racist, will say any untruth if she finds it politically convenient and that she is unfit to be an MP – just imagine how she would howl if a European MP said the reverse about Maori.

I’d add that a first time visitor to our shores would, having flicked through our news media for a few days, would reach a different conclusion to Davidson:

When do we reach the point where we can agree that this is Maoridom? This is Maori values in action. This is Maori ‘lived experience’.

Not the fanciful, aspirational, plucked out of the air Te Ao Maori and tikanga espoused in our universities and grifting communities where Maoridom is all sweetness and light and superior to Pakeha culture in every way.

Let’s not overlook that in the vast majority of cases the great grandparents and beyond of those pictured in that story will have been hard-working, law-abiding New Zealanders and would be aghast at this behaviour of their descendants would they be alive to see it. That’s right, this behaviour has only appeared in the last 50 years, coincident with the explosion in New Zealand of incentives to not work, incentives to have children irresponsibly, incentives to break up marriages and the state becoming the father to hundreds of thousands of kids.

Without major corrections in the trajectory of this country, where the value of good personal responsibility is prioritised and feral behaviour not condoned nor incentivised, I confidently predict that this is our future – and with large portions of Maoridom continuing to occupy our society’s lowest rungs, preying on their fellow community members.

Should that be our future I sheet home responsibility to no-one other than those involved but reserve a special derision and contempt for those politicians and assorted grifters who have for decades enabled this human degradation – with Marama Davidson top of the list.

  I originally thought this was a terrible idea, having spent all my life treating people as equals.
  
  I now think it’s a really good idea. Section off a part of the country for maoris only (as per the recommendation from he puapua) and go for it. We will even leave some horrible white man infrastructure there for you. You will need to work out the rest. Take it back to the 1830s. No, it won’t be funded by our side.
  
  Show us the land area you want, say 16% of the land mass and we will survey it and start digging a trench around it, so we can’t come over and bother you.
  
  Non racist maoris and all others welcome on one side, racist maoris and virtue signalling woke whiteys on the other. If you think the culture is so great, you go and live with it.

  Several years ago, I attended a conference in Hawera.
  On the way back to our accommodation, around 11pm, we drove down the main street and saw a line of people waiting outside a bank atm machine.
  They were mostly women in their pyjamas with kids running round and babies in prams.
  I asked my local hosts what were they doing there at that time of night?
  Turned out (and this was before internet banking) that their benefit money was due to be available at midnight and that was what they were waiting for.
  I said (yes, naive, I know), but why would they want money at midnight with no shops open in Hawera at that time?
  Answer: they have to go straight round with the cash to pay off their drug dealers – otherwise no more supply.
  Illegal drugs which fund the brave warriors in the gangs- who are actually just mindless louts.
  Havn’t been back to Hawera, but if I do, I will remember not to wear a red jersey.
  Also, with all the concern and care and excuses made for the criminals reported in the link above, I didn’t see much about the victim’s ongoing well-being and entitlements.

Who applauded when years ago we learned that governments would shut down the bank accounts of terrorists? I admit to lacking insights and naively applauded this. The problem for the applauders, and for those that mock the notion of slippery slopes is that once something like arbitrary state access to personal wealth gets started, the power gained is too delicious to resist.

For me the first, if distant warning shot across my bow was during the GFC when the Cypriot government, strapped for cash, simply waded into the bank accounts of ‘wealthy’ individuals and helped themselves to cash.

More alarming that that was the Canadian government freezing the bank account of protesters and people who donated to protesters.

The next event is more recent. This week off-narrative UK politician Nigel Farage has announced that he has had his bank accounts forcibly closed, and no other bank will take his personal or business banking. This is weaponising the banking sector and should set alarm bell ringing for any thinking person, and should set the scene for what we can expect if CBDC’s are forced on us. Resist, resist, resist.

      Some might read Tom Hunter’s comment and imagine that he actually believes the supreme court decides cases on the basis of legal principles rather than political belief. But if that were so he would probably not have reiterated, many times, the critical importance of republican presidents being able to make as many judicial appointments as possible.
      The vast majority of the court’s recent decisions, from student debt relief and anti-LGB discrimination, to affirmative action, criminal appeal rights and abortion are very obviously based on partisan political preferences. That plain bias, together with the egregious ethical violations by some justices, seriously undermines the court’s legitimacy.

        Yep. Could agree more. You’re right, 100%. The government has no authority to discriminate. It must treat all people equally.
        
        Where your comment seems to fall down is that government doesn’t usually own shops or clubs. But if it did, sure, there it also couldn’t discriminate, as it has done in recent times when councils have tried to prevent public facilities being used by speakers on the basis of political ideology.
        
        This is why the recent SCOTUS decision about affirmative action is so laudable. Government-funded bodies do not have the right to discriminate since they are spending public money. If they want to implement such things they must not accept public money.

I just had a post go into cyberspace, so I will repeat it.
I have an email from the Free Speech Union about Mellons Bay School wanting to stop a parent handing out flyers about RSE. Relationships and Sexuality Education. This is a primary school. Is NZ going to follow the US with the drag queens and all that shit? I can’t find this on the Free Speech Union website, so no link. There is also an email that I can’t copy, from Mellons Bay School to NZSTA, regarding the flyers. They say a parent handing out flyers can not influence another parent regarding RSE!! I may forward this to DPF.

Here’s some of the work we’ve been doing:

They may not be huge, nor go to the top echelons of Government decision-making, but are simply such egregious violations of free speech rights that we are left wondering just what kind of justifications people could give themselves in silencing others.Mellons Bay School

We were recently approached by a parent of Mellons Bay School, letting us know that the school was undergoing consultation around the new Relationships and Sexuality Education Guidelines. Naturally, this was an important and possibly contentious area of discussion for the parents of the school and they would be fully within their rights to discuss the guidelines among themselves.

And yet, when this parent made and handed out flyers to other parents expressing their views on the consultation, they were confronted by the school principal and told “you’re entitled to your views but you can’t influence others”, and that if she continued to hand out her flyers, even off school grounds, the school board would have to “take action”.

We contacted the Principal of Mellons Bay school to confirm whether such an egregious series of event took place, and through her response and OIA requests found out that not only did it occur, but that the Principal had done so on the advice of the New Zealand School Trustees Association! Steve, I can’t tell you what caliber of lawyers they have at the NZSTA, but as for myself, I can’t see what possible legal justification the NZSTA or Mellons Bay School principal could come up with to justify threatening a parent for exercising their speech rights with other parents.

We’ve since written a “please explain” letter to the NZSTA. They have said we’ll hear back first thing next week. Big or small, when the speech rights of Kiwis are so blatantly run roughshod over, we won’t let it slide.

The bone gnawed on was phonics in learning to read.

The email feedback on the issue was a deluge, Hill said later.

With NZ education standards diving in comparison with similar countries abroad, this issue will grow. It will divert Labour’s core support, teachers, in the run-up to the general election.

    After I’d read Why Johnny Can’t Read and studied the Montessori method, as well as simply remembering how I had been taught to read, I became a strong advocate of the phonic method, and I remember one day speaking to a “reading recovery” teacher–this is in the mid-90s, mind you, and literacy was already manifestly on the decline–and she was a disciple of the look-say/whole-word method which requires kids to guess words from context, not to sound them out.
    
    She admitted the number of reading recovery students she was helping had grown over the previous years and the average age was getting younger. I asked her how they helped these kids to read. She said–and I shit you not–by using phonics. Apparently the doctrine from the Colleges of Education was that phonics is not appropriate for very young children but a “valuable aid” for older kids with reading difficulties.
    
    Those dirty fuckers have debilitated at least two generations of children with their fucked-up theories. It’s a criminal act. It especially affects marginal learners and disheartens the rest. A few still do well because they have switched-on parents.
    
    One of the most painful things I ever witnessed was a child reading from a school primer, reading those simple words on the left page and constantly looking at the illustration on the right page to try–so very desperately–to guess what the word was that they hadn’t yet memorised. Horrible. Criminal.

Now you can see why Chris Hipkins and Kiri Allan have been so pedantic about the term “formal complaint” in their various media interviews this week. Staff in ministerial offices know that a “formal complaint” against their Minister will have severe consequences for their own career, and that’s why they often speak under the condition of anonymity.

It was also worthy of note that Chris Hipkins refused to deny that other MPs had discussed Kiri Allan’s behaviour with him, which suggests that the journalist who asked the question, Jenna Lynch from Newshub, knows exactly what has happened here.

  That is disingenuous for two reasons.
  
  Firstly not meeting expectations does not deserve being screamed at.
  
  Secondly, and more importantly, public servants right now are trying to roll out stupid and broken policies. When they fail, it is likely that these Ministers are lashing out at public servants.
  
  Imagine being given 24 hours to design a government investment in a commercial ski field that your Minister has just described as a “taonga”. You’d be thinking what an idiotic idea.

  It was a good story, especially referencing that since Mallard’s inquiry into parliamentary behavior nothing has changed: politicians are irredeemable bullies and worse, and senior public servants are too cowardly to stand up to them. Departmental officials in parliamentary offices are somewhat protected, but the worst cases are among the eager young political appointees, who are widely victimized and have no real employment protections.

I am not sure if I have copied this link correctly, my apologies if I haven’t got it right. You may have to go to the crime section of the NZ Herald to read it, it’s worth. There are no cis gender white males or females involved in committing this crime Marama. This was an unprovoked cowardly pack mentality attack on an individual who wore the wrong coloured clothing. And the Judge managed to manipulate the system enough to put most of them to Home D instead of imprisonment where they belong. Filled up there about 10 days ago with 98 and it was $154.50. Pressed ‘fill’ again this morning and it was only $143.80. No waiting. No queues.

I’ve just received an infringement notice for driving 61km/h on Chapel Rd, Botany, which now has a 50km/h limit.

Sweden famously refused to resort to lockdowns during COVID. It therefore offers a natural experiment to illustrate the consequences of that decision.

Politicians all over the world were critical of Sweden, including New Zealand politicians.

I have examined monthly excess deaths across Europe for the last two years.

Sweden has had the lowest average excess deaths of any large European country since January 2021.

In the first four months of 2023, the monthly average of excess deaths is negative. ie fewer people are dying than would have been expected based on historical deaths.

Correlation is not causation. However this is a remarkable picture. Sweden stands out from countries such as Australia, the UK, Germany, Spain, and New Zealand, which are continuing to experience high excess deaths.

For example, the UK is being overwhelmed with cardiac deaths:

The data certainly calls into question the impact of severe lockdowns on ‘all causes’ mortality.

What is it with the justice system that we have now?
Is it because town people have been conditioned to hate cows that this animal cruelty is acceptable?

Breathless reporters are telling us how much the petrol price has gone up since the end of the excise tax reduction, but they seem surprised that the diesel price hasn’t changed. Of course excise tax doesn’t apply to diesel, diesel vehicles pay for their use of the roads through RUCs, but there’s no reporting on how much that has increased by.
And of course the bludgers driving electric cars continue to use the roads for free !

A group of armed teenagers is on the roof of an Auckland youth justice facility and in a stand-off with police.

Police said they were alerted to the incident at Korowai Manaaki Youth Justice Residence in Wiri at 12:40pm.

Oranga Tamariki deputy chief executive Mike Bush confirmed to Newshub its staff are assisting with the incident at the facility.
