Interesting, though why are the jumpers white? they dont really scream national at me? or were blue ones too pricey? Is there free coffee every day? please

Call me a pedant but I still query the ethics of calling it the “Wellington Central electorate office.”

He is not a member of Parliament. Someone else is the MP for Wellington Central.

The tort is called “passing off” but there might be cause for concern under the Commerce Act and the Electoral Act too.

Dave you are well off base. If it was being marketed as Mark Blumsky’s electorate office, then that might be an issue, but it is called the National Party Wellington Central Electorate Office for the simple reason that is what it is.

It is the office for the National Party Wellington Central Electorate. That is the name on the lease.

And frankly it is preposterous to think that in WC of all seats, that people would not be aware of who the local MP is, and that Mark Blumsky is a candidate, and not (yet) the MP.

Hmm – he might have said that tongue in cheek, but all communications I authorised/wrote/wass involved in as Rodney’s campaign manager always described him as “MP with special responsibilities for Epsom”. I know that Rodney would tease Richard Worth in the house by calling himself MP for Epsom, but not on official communications.

I saw you at the airport on Thursday – I was there to pick up my folks.

If you’d stuck around for another 15 seconds before disappearing into the Koru Lounge more famouse faces would have shown up. Netball legend Lois Muir wandered past along with the Otago Netball team (including Anna Scarlett). Sue Bradford was next person along after that.
