Labour MPs agree with me
February 27th, 2004 at 5:46 am by David FarrarI posted on Tuesday that the appointment of David Bensin-Pope to the Cabinet seemed like an April Fool’s joke. The NZ Herald reports that it seems many of his colleagues agree with me.
To quote the Herald: “One MP said the promotion sent a message to all MPs that their contributions were irrelevant if they didn’t meet the ‘quota’ requirements.”
Labour – the party of quotas!

Interesting to know there are factions in Labour. Not sure what a right leftie is though. If soft-on-crime Geoff is right, such labels lose their meaning.

You learn something every day. Labour has a “right wing.” Maybe they should have an online survey to gauge interest in merging with National?

I’m Estonian and yes we’re pretty and yes, would love to travel to NZ. Have friends from there too.
Just don’t have an embassy around here. Sucks!

So does Benson-Dope fulfill the “dumb f***” quota?

Berend – Labour have had factions but I didn’t realise until this appt that they were now so strong that they would allow such an unmerited appt to be made. Aust Labour (and Libs) are more formally factionalised with actual formal deals between factions.
Anna – Not sure how you found my blog – perhaps searched in Google for pretty Estonian women! NZ is a great place to visit. Yet to meet someone who regrets it.
Grant – I think that quota is already met with George Hawkins
