May 30th, 2005 at 6:09 am by David FarrarI’m pretty convinced that it will be very hard for the jury to find Michael Jackson guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. There seems to be considerable doubt over the accuser and his family especially.
It seems I am not alone. This CNN article on Tradesports says that the odds are in favour of an acquittal.
Local Blog commentor Berend de Boer is quoted as having bet $1,600 on Jackson being acquitted, so he’ll be following the verdict more closely than most!

My dear old mother often told me – Never bet on a leopard that has ALREADY changed its spots.
Anyone who wants to be white in this day and age should be convicted of something.

These TradeSports quotes are a snapshot. The last price right now is 48.9. There was a lot of trading last night, and it even went above 50. But last week it was indeed around 40.

I watched the trial fairly closely. First, I think the man may be guilty. That said i think he will be found not guilty in spite of a judge who I think was incredibly biased against Jackson. The problem is the family itself. I suspect the mother knew the “risk” she was taking and figured it was worth the money. Awful to say but with the money Jackson was throwing her way she well may have closed her eyes intentionally. And when she thought the gravy train was coming to an end they tried this tactic. They were discredited. Of course a lot of the information about them was kept from the jury by the Judge. Still I would think the odds are slightly with Jackson.

Will wacko Jacko cop flacko? I think so.The jury is said to be conservative and all this talk of wanking and little boys can only mean one thing:Mr Jackson should surely be blind by now.
